Surprise grandpa visits are the best! I did a different thing this week,with chocolate prices going up to the moon I bought organic fair trade cocoa powder from Amazon,1 pound pack was $7.00, bought a few whilst I was at it. I'm considering it insurance.
I'm so happy that I stayed thru all 12min and saw your children greeting their grandparents ❤ I have 7 grandkids and it is a wonderful stage in life 😊 I'm grateful that my local markets in Los Angeles county are sending their weekly ads in the mail 😊Thanks for sharing your weekly grocery deals. Our Kroger had 80% beef in the 3-pound logs for $2.99 a pound but I was able to get 80% (makes the best burgers) on mark-down for $2.25 pound, I bought what they had, just over 6 pounds; burger patties are made and, in the freezer, already. Also grabbed some Duncan Hines brownies, buy 1, get 1 and 1/2 gallon of milk for $1.19. Stopped at Tom Thumb on my way home and found marked down 93% ground beef 1/2 off at 3.49 a pound. Tom Thumb also had eggs (12 count) for $1.97 and while I know this may not be the best for you, I also got Kraft Mac and cheese for .27 cents a box! This stuff always brings back childhood memories!
So nice you could have family visiting. ❤ I am thankful for my stockpile too because we had a new fridge delivered from Costco & then I did an Aldi run this week and spent $36 on basics-- produce, milks, tofu, & bread. I was excited for the 99cent/lb grapes 🍇 my favorite. 😅
A new fridge? So exciting! Ours is wearing out so I have to keep pressing on the seal every time to make sure it closes! 😂 I'll have to remember checking Costco and Sams when it comes time to replace this fridge at last! Glad you were able to do a smaller grocery run too!
Once again our local HEB has bone in chicken breast for 97 cents a pound no limit. Great stock up price. I will bone them and I can get 2 pieces of breast and one tender from each bone in piece. Tenders go in air fryer breaded and boneless pieces get bagged up and froze. The bones get cooked with veggies to make a great bone broth also to be frozen. Takes a little work but well worth it.

Our local Reisbecks has pork and beans for .79 on sale this week and Aldi had them for .87. We will get them at Reisbecks and probably get about 12 cans. Those have been .89 at Aldi since 2020 ... I think.
Our Meijer had 2lb packages of strawberries for $1.49. No limit! They also had the 3lb. logs of 81/19 ground beef for $4.99. No limit again. The 73/27 ground beef 3lb logs were $3.99. It must have been an overstock because my daughter didn't have the same prices only 20 miles away. I bought enough for both of us.
Oh my goodness. What incredible deals! 😲 I love stumbling across overstock deals like that. So Glad you were able to stock up! 🙌 Just another reason it's always good to wander the meat aisles. You never know what deals you might find!

It's amazing how much less expensive your groceries cost. In Western Washington, where I live, prices Probably 3+ times higher.
