Thank you for reacting to one of my all time favorite bands. I think it is great young people are discovering the music I was enjoying 45 years ago. It gives me hope for the future of music. If you liked that song, you might want to try "Return to Fantasy" . Same tempo about twice the length. Big Hammond B3 organ with the swirling and screaming Leslie speaker. David Byron defined the vocal sound for what would become Heavy Metal. Just another pioneering band snubbed by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Keep listening and keep exploring the Uriah Heep music catalog and the other great forgotten bands of the early 70's. Like Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Rush, Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd. Keep on Rocking.

Uriah Heep's first 7 albums are all really good. They have many great songs... The Wizard, Traveller in Time, Gypsy, Bird of Prey, Salisbury, Dream-mare, Easy Livin' Stealin', Tears in My Eyes, July Morning, Magicians Birthday, Sunrise, Wonderworld, and many more... as with all the old bands from the period, they never had film clips... David Byron was the main singer. Hensley did the high falsetto vocals. I saw Uriah Heep. Only the guitarist is alive from their classic lineup. That was the studio version btw....

Thank you for checking out Uriah Heep Lady! I read the someone suggested "July Morning" which is a great choice, but honestly there are so many more like the epic "Salisbury" or the groovy "Gypsy". Bur I am happy to see that someone touches Uriah Heep, rare (and difficult to understand) that most reactors totally ignore them. Same thing is true for Saga - songs like "Don't be late", "Images" or "Help me out" - give it a try if you love exceptional discoveries ♥ Of course this actual video is a montage of the original album track with some live footage, anyway great to see and hear it done ♪♫♫♪

Love your vlog and the research you do to the music you listen to. I had this one. You should also listen to Sweet Freedom by Heep.
BUT. If I haven´t misunderstood you completely. You are a true fan of so-called Classic Rock? Let me give you a tip on a band you should listen to. Status Quo (also known as the Frantic four). If there is any band like Deep Purple and the others that should be recognized as that it is Quo. I had two records by them Quo and Piledriver. They are well known for many songs: Whatever you want, Rain, Backwater, Down Down, Just take me, Forty-five hundred times. Or Is there a better way. And so on It would be fun If you commented on any of Quo´s songs. The live version of Forty-five hundred times are long, 17 min. But it´s a great live performance. I have a special relationship with them. Not only have I seen them live. The songs on the Quo album were one of the first I learned to play an instrument from. And when you went to a Quo concert you always knew it would be fun. Like when a band called Thin Lizzy was around. So go through Quo´s tracklist. You might find something you like. And you could also explain why they were called the Frantic four. Bye, and I really do like your vlogs

I really enjoyed your comments, Elok, well thought out. Thank you for putting thought into your reaction. You’re right that they are chill. I like them a lot also. They used the organ a lot more than most bands from that time. Although they didn’t show the organ player much in the video you could hear him in it. I think if you do another one by them I would recommend their classic, “July Morning”. It’s one of their most famous and I think you would enjoy it. Even though it’s pretty long it doesn’t get boring. Here’s a link to it just so you have it: ruclips.net/video/12E2RVBOYTI/видео.html

Uriah Heep?? So happy someone recommended them to you. There are so many groups froim that era it is hard to stay in control lol. Stealin' and Easy Livin and The Wizard were giant single hits and they are one of my fav groups. You found out late? You are really wayyy too hard on yourself! You will recognize them immediately in the future because they have their own unique sound. Love them and it seems you do too!

They kinda fell from popularity after they released an album that was a bit of a departure from what they had been doing. I went to one of their concerts and they refused to play any of their greats. After only a few songs they were pelted with food and booed off stage. The warm up band (38 special) came back on stage and rocked the house.
    The good old days! 🙂

A bit of Uriah Heep backstory, since you went with my request. In 1969/1970, they were struggling to get a footing in the industry. They rented a huge "dormitory" to work on their next record. Another group was doing the same thing, at the same time, in the same large building. Uriah Heep was kind of enjoying what the other group was doing, and decided to try to be a bit more like them. Who were "they"? Deep Purple. So, yeah. The guitar/drums/guitar-heavy theme wasn't an accident. Thanks for trusting my judgment.

We personally thank you because we (my Hubby and I) have been requesting them for other reactors, for quite a long time! Nobody seemed interested. We always thought that UH were like Deep Purple's little brothers! Same type of lineup and similarities in songs. Child in Time/July Morning, can't just be coincidences!
