My personal theory on all of this now that Hollow Sorrows is out. Notice how the thieves only broke in *after* Skid and Pump met Eyes. My guess is that Skid’s dad died somehow during a ritual and out of respect for him being their leader decided to leave his family alone. However, after Skid and Pump not only managed to survive whatever Eyes does to sacrifices but also turned it into a goober like them, The Cult immediately began to figure out what happened, either to further advance the cult’s endeavors or to prevent the two from ruining everything. The thieves are being sent in to steal Skidad’s stuff to see if his old junk has any relation to what happened. So why not just kidnap Skid and Pump? Well, we saw what happened in this episode. I doubt it would end well for The Cult.

something i just now noticed: at the end of the episode when skid and pump are telling lila about eyes, pump states “he showed *ME* the stars.” we also know that after their encounter with eyes, pump is the only one whose eyes turn cyan in certain situations (usually involving the boys being in the presence of danger). this could mean that eyes “showed” pump something that he didn’t show skid, which would make sense as we can see that pump is visibly shaken/mesmerized when meeting eyes, while skid is seemingly unbothered. ALSO in the most recent spooky month (5 - tender treats), bob’s eyes are shown to be the same cyan color just before he is shot, and while he is being run over. later in the “real ending” patty finds a necklace inside of bob’s body that is worn by the cult members (who possibly worship eyes). this means bob was likely possessed during his killing/cannibalism spree. so if cyan eyes are a sign of possession, that could mean pump was possessed by eyes in some way. perhaps this will become a major point later on. i’m definitely overthinking this, but this series is just so delightfully fascinating and has me hanging on to every detail. i love it
That's actually a pretty good theory! I'd think that maybe when Pump's or anyone else's eyes turn blue, Eyes probably shifts the vision of said person. Which could explain why they see "the end", and maybe also why Pump can recognize what's a demo.n and what's not. This could also go the way in which Eyes also sees what said person would regularly see for a certain reason. But that's all speculation lol
I feel like during the finale of the series, Skid would have to stop the cult alone as everyone he knows (Pump, Kevin, the Hatzgang etc) is possessed and trying to stop him.

something i just now noticed:
at the end of the episode when skid and pump are telling lila about eyes, pump states “he showed *ME* the stars.”
we also know that after their encounter with eyes, pump is the only one whose eyes turn cyan in certain situations (usually involving the boys being in the presence of danger).
this could mean that eyes “showed” pump something that he didn’t show skid, which would make sense as we can see that pump is visibly shaken/mesmerized when meeting eyes, while skid is seemingly unbothered.
ALSO in the most recent spooky month (5 - tender treats), bob’s eyes are shown to be the same cyan color just before he is shot, and while he is being run over.
later in the “real ending” patty finds a necklace inside of bob’s body that is worn by the cult members (who possibly worship eyes). this means bob was likely possessed during his killing/cannibalism spree.
so if cyan eyes are a sign of possession, that could mean pump was possessed by eyes in some way. perhaps this will become a major point later on.
i’m definitely overthinking this, but this series is just so delightfully fascinating and has me hanging on to every detail. i love it

I'd think that maybe when Pump's or anyone else's eyes turn blue, Eyes probably shifts the vision of said person. Which could explain why they see "the end", and maybe also why Pump can recognize what's a demo.n and what's not.
This could also go the way in which Eyes also sees what said person would regularly see for a certain reason. But that's all speculation lol
