I was their. Though I'm a Man Utd supporter I so admired that GREAT forest team I chose to go support them; train from Manchester to London, across to Paris then train down to Madrid. Stood behind the goal with the Forest supporters who were superb. Am scanning that end to see if a youthful me can be found lol!. A great great team were Forest then.

She always tells us, "imagine being a supporter in 1975 when the club was going absolutely nowhere stuck in midtable in the second division. My daughter lives in Nottingham and her partner is a forest season ticket holder as his brother is also so I'm showing her that under clough forest were a great team and I was telling her I was sitting in a bar in Germany watching this final the bar was packed but by half time my mate and I had cleared the place with our singing and telling the Germans how bad they were great times

And there will be no more underdogs that won the Europe:
1.Arsenal (Europa League 2000 & 2019, Champions League 2006).
2.Middlesbrough (Europa League 2006).
Even Tottenham with Kane and Guardiola's Man City couldn't get the first ever title in 2019 and 2021 against Englishmate Liverpool and Chelsea in respective finals before completed the misery for England in Euro 2020 final.

I've supported Forest since 1977 and we were an awesome team back then of course Forest won it in 1979 and the Trevor Francis goal is fresh in my mind like it was yesterday I shall never forget and Robbo getting the winner in 1980 we got 2 European Cups The PROPER AND HARD WAY not finishing 10th in the tampax league and getting in because we are the best dressed team it's a joke now ⚽🍀®️🍾😎

I just can't accept that a club who has won the champions league twice could be playing the second tier of football.This club should be in the premier league and competing for the title or top 4.This club should be one of the clubs representing england in international club football and here we have city,arsenal and spurs with no champions league between them.

By the time Robertson scored, he'd been playing for Forest for 10 years.
It was his 366th competitive match for Forest, and his 65th that season. Yes, 65th. He played every match in 1979/80. 65 matches in 41 weeks.
It was his 74th goal for Forest, his 19th of the season, and his 3rd of the competition.
That 65 matches is 4 more than Manchester City played in their treble-winning season, and Forest only made the Fourth Round Proper of the FA Cup. If City had reached the UCL final, they would've played a total of 64. Forest also played friendlies and testimonials during the season, and twice as many pre-season matches as City did and, as far as I can find, Robertson played in all 11 of them, which would give him a grand total of 75 matches in 45 weeks. Think about that when Premier League clubs with players earning well into 6-figures a week are complaining about FA Cup replays yet again.
And Forest had smaller squad, and only one sub for domestic games.
