Does down shifting the gear before a corner help you in braking like a manual normal car? Or is it ill-advised to do so? Can you please describe the sequence of what you do coming to a corner? Thanks in advance!
I would say it helps like a normal manual car (from what I see in the video) but it's a slight difference so maybe it helps more to reduce the wearing of the brakes, rather than making a big difference when breaking...
My engineer advised me to hit the brakes and then down shift progressively into the corner. For example at Turn 1: I would enter the corner in 6th gear, hit brakes, down shift progressively and by the time I hit the apex I should be in 2nd gear.
The key is networking and knowing the right people. You establish a friendly relationship with them over years and eventually you can ask them for a sponsorship.

0:44 just curious, so about much force is required to achieve 70 bar vs 90 bar of pressure? ie how much weight or force is your braking foot applying to get that level of bar? Is it like pushing a 45lb plate with your foot, or trying to move a 200 lb weight with just your foot?
Hello, im watching rental kart videos a lot as of recently and wondered, why is it so often, that f4 drivers, drive rental karts instead of racekarts. Obviously if they can afford f4 why wouldnt they can afford a racekart? Also in a racekart you would learn much more cause generally the drivers are much more competetive there and the general level is a lot higher. I would if you would make a video on that or answer my comment! Great Videos and always really interesting!
Great question! F4 drivers do race in pro karts. Personally I drove Rotax and IAME before F4. Since my channel is focused on rental karts, the purpose of this video is to educate a driver who has only done rental karting on how driving an F4 car would feel.

Very good video 🎉🎉 but in rental karting trailbraking is the fastest braking technique as you keep the revs high whilst rotating the kart

SWS is a great start! I recommend you get some experience in two stroke karts next (Rotax or IAME) to prepare for the physicality and speed of F4.

That's a great question. I believe the ratio is 1:1 so 90 bars of brake pressure is equivalent to 90 KG.
90 bar is around 55kg
