@@callmetarif it was a kind of joke grading scheme that the WideBoyz came up with for Adam, called the “Ondra Scale”. Basically it’s just “O” followed by the number of sessions it would take Adam to do the climb. So O0 means he can flash it, O1 means something Adam can climb after 1 session, and so on so forth
There is an old video of Adam where he went to Smith Rock and onsighted a classic route "Just do it" (5.14c / 8c+). The original bolter of that route, Alan Watts, was watching in pure awe and joy as Adam made his way up the route. When Adam reached the top, it looks like Alan was on the verge of tears-perhaps from seeing just how far along sport climbing has come. For route developers, I suppose there is no greater honor than having the best climbers come and perform otherworldly feats on your proudest projects.
Considering his several awkward foot slips on lead routes in competitions, I would not think like that, definitely some psychology started playing a role...
@@mrmoorash it’s possible for sure, I feel that holding the title of world’s best for so long takes a toll on the mind, but what I mostly meant is that in 2023 Adam slowly began to regain the strengh he developed when he climbed silence, we saw him sending a 9b+ for the first time in years, being his second hardest send, now we saw his second hardest flash done quite casually, seeing him flow here reminded me of his physical prime quite a lot
I notice after watching several Ondra vids that what sets him apart isn't just that he can do the most difficult climbs, but he's like a dancer, graceful and fluid in his movements - kinda like the way Roger Federer played tennis. Just beautiful to watch.
I just have to say - I am fairly new to climbing and of course this is a thrill to watch and the content of your channel and all your climbs are AMAZING but I want to take a second to also appreciate how all those mini-movies are build, shot and told because honestly, this is a pleasure to watch. It is literally like I am playing something on movie night with the diff that it contains actual climbing. It is really beautiful and pleasant to just sit back, watch and listed to.

Very wholesome video. Friends hanging out, psyched out their minds. Adam's onsight and flash level is just crazy. Super fast ascents of hard routes still the sets Adam, Alex and Jakob apart from the rest of them.
I can't even imagine. although he makes it look so easy. I'm 52 now and just got back into it with my kids . I was doing V0 to V2 in the gym with them. I was sore from head to toe for a solid week but I loved it! I will be a big jug climber from now on lol.
You Adam, And Hannold made me drop 25kg i Weight and start endurance train to be able to start climb! Love all your avchievments and the drive you got!! Such inspiration ❤🎉😊

Hilarious grading scheme. Most people will never climb anything but O0. Most gyms will just have everything graded O0 hahaha

I flashed this route but just in the opposite direction. You could say it kinda flashed by me - much like my life before my eyes.
