The reason Aunt Cass was an aunt was pretty clear to me. It's part of the movie's theme of loss. Part of why Hiro struggles so much is because of how much he's lost. No parents, and now no brother either.

Which really adds to the overall humanity of the movie. Hiro's reaction to nearly kill the professor kind of also falls under this theme. Gifted kids tend to be isolated from their peers naturally, and when you add no family or close friends to the mix, you get that kind of thing.

Man-im shocked. Almost all of these facts can be found directly on the internet or on the dvd itself. You missed some really cool ones.
1) Hiro and Tadashi are biracial-half white, half Japanese, due to both Ryan Potter's and Daniel Henney's request. They were originally going to be full on Japanese. This is why Aunt Cass is white.
2) Most of San Fransokyo is billengual-signs can be seen in Japanese, and even a note on Aunt Cass's table where she cooks has a note that says to get food for Mochi in Japanese
3) Pictures of their family, including their parents, can be found around the house-including some toddler and baby pictures of the Hamada brothers
4) Tadashi sews microchips into all of Hiro's hoodies to see where he is at all times.
5) In the original concept, Hiro was a skater.
6) Tadashi and Hiro actually sift through eachother's trash to find something for inspiration to build
7) Those ladies Yokai was gonna be in a gang with? Those ladies were called the Fujitas, while Yama served as the wrestler. As you can see, both names based on mountains-Yama and Fuji
8) The RingLeader (the woman in the beginning with the eyepatch) is based off of the original Fujitas concept
9) Hiro has ticklish feet. Yes. This is a thing.
10) Hiro watches robot themed anime such as Gundam.
11) Tadashi is a surfer and a fan of baseball, in particular the baseball team San Fransokyo Ninjas (the symbol on his hat)
12) Many storyboards of Hiro and Tadashi's childhood were cut out due to a "slow start" to the movie-scenes showed them putting rockets on Mochi and flying him around, Tadashi going Jackass and pushing him and Hiro down a road in a jet fueled shopping cart, and sneaking into the SFIT Showcase to see the robots as kids. So the whole "felony" kick actually started because of Tadashi.
13) Gogo is the only character with a double major in college.
14) Along with originally being an English student, Fred was also written down as being very generous and donating large amounts of his money to various charities and projects on his resume for being the school mascot.
15) Hiro was violently bullied in school, which caused Tadashi to be extremely protective-even to the point of being FEARED by other students, according to storyboards.
16) There is a Japanese manga version of the movie that can be bought online. However the characters have a few differences.
17) One of these differences is that Hiro's "defiance" is taken to the next level by him bashing and being outright rude to almost every character. Another difference is Tadashi also being a rather strict brother, going so far as slapping Hiro across the face and coming off as abusive.
18) The manga goes into a bit more detail with Tadashi's death, along with many other Big Hero 6 children's books. According to the manga a large plank of wood from the ceiling burned off and crushed him to death.
19) According to children's books, Tadashi is 18 years old, making him only a FRESHMAN in college and only 4 years older than Hiro. That means when their parents died, Tadashi was only 7 years old.
Thats just to list a few. Sorry that took ages. I understand you guys can only fit 107 but come on these ones are REALLY important.

Just a quick fact I wanted to add, Big Hero 6 was actually a 2 volume manga series by Haruki Ueno. There are a few differences to the story, for example, Tadashi "dies" a different way, he falls into a portal in order to save Hiro, Abigail is portrayed as a young girl instead of a teen, and GoGo, Wasabi, Fred, and Honey Lemon aren't exactly main characters.

You guys forgot to mention that Technician 1 and 2 have different voices in the British theatrical release. In the British version, they were voiced by Dan Howell and Phil Lester, two famous RUclipsrs.

Fact #108: the Big Heroe 6 sequel is going to be in Kingdom Hearts 3 and will have Sora teaming up with BH6 characters to fight a corrupted Baymax which happens to be the one that was lost to the void in the first movie.

What I love is instead of a sequel they made it into a TV series with shirts and chibi shirts. You can find the shorts and chibi shorts on RUclips along with episode 2 of the series. Last I checked, it looks like there will be a season 2 despite Stan Lee's passing. Not sure how they will handle Fred's father passing but I still look forward to it. I watched it and enjoyed and still do. I love rewatching the episodes. Trust me you will love it and it will make you laugh. Plus they feature footage if Tadashi not seen before and even his character despite it... sorry not spilling. You have to watch the show to find out.

Common misconception since the Disney and Marvel say so, but in the comic Hiro invented Baymax, not his father. He did use a kind of copy of his father's mind as a basis for Baymax.
