Everyone please GIVE a chance to this movie! It can look that the purpose is body shaming, but it is not, It's SO much more than that. The main protagonist is actually comfortable with her body and this movie message, is ACTUALLY: "Don't change yourself, because of others". This movie has so much more quality in many aspects. One of the designers of the characters for this film, have worked on the movie 'Frozen' and they have Tony Banchfrot too, a previous Disney animator. It is a movie with a lot of quality. But, because of the bad-marketing that this movie received, most people now just don't care, or are not willing to watch it. Even Chloe Grace Moretz, the voice actor, tweeted about this, explaining how the marketing does not do justice to this film. It's such a pity, because the plot is really interesting, the graphics are pretty good and smooth too. (I made this tweet, based on the information of Saberspark, you should definitely check his video out, to see how this movie is underrated)
yes yes, I love watching movies, but I've never seen this movie. Luckily, I am so boring nowadays so I search movie trailers and then I watched this, I don't regret it at all. It was an amazing movie.
The marketing is poor thats true, i only came to watch because i was seeing edits of merlin all over my fyp all the time and wanted to know what was the cartoon about. I didnt expect to cry a freaking river by the end but ya! Great movie and a lot of young girls can relate to that
It's sad how it got a negative reviews, due to bad marketing before it was released. After I finished the film it so good especially the lesson that the film want to give to their viewers. It's one of the best animated films I've watched in years. Please make more films like this.
I really loved this movie, it would be awesome if it had a sequel, showing more about Merlin and the others princes and the kingdoms where they came from. The shoes idea was really good, it would be super cool if it was expanded like, imagine Red Shoes getting a lot of magic shoes of different colors, each one with a different power, and fighting against a new villain in Fairytale Island, to save Merlin this time. Part time as queen, part time as a mysterious heroine of the Fearless Seven 😎 My imagination sometimes flies away, don't bother 😅😂😂

A shame the marketing was godsawful and misleading. This movie was adorable and had such sweet and wonderful handling with its message (the polar opposite of what the terribly misleading marketing leads to believe).

Honestly, aside for the pacing in some of the scenes(some of them feel rush) and, sad to say, the songs. It's a REALLY good film. You really made well known fairy tails into your own. I WANT to know MORE about these characters and this world. My one suggestion is to make this into an animated series or a maybe manhwa. Flesh out all the characters... Have us spend more time with each one. especially the villains(you kinda wasted them) Cause the lore, the characters are great and I wish to know MORE. Keep the base story but just EXPAND upon it.
I think there had to be more scenes of real Jack and others like Hans or Arthur, and that instead of the credits where they fall in love with fish or other things they should have made some clips where they break the curse

Jack is most likely from Jack in the beanstalk (that's why he's so rich, he probably has/had the golden goose, hence the mention of "Golden goose Avenue", and he pays the bills and knows many jeweler's. He probably isn't a prince, since that's not what his story brings, but that's fine^^). Hans is probably Hansel from "Hansel and Gretel"(Which explains why he bakes sweet treats, and why he seems like the chef amongst the seven). Arthur and Merlin are from that one story with Excalibur? I can't remember the name of it, but Arthur is supposed to be a king in that one(though in the movie he's still a prince), and Merlin is supposed to be an old wizard (but in the movie they made him younger.) Also, they possibly made Arthur and Merlin brothers in the movie, which could be why they seem so close yet so far, and why they get more light than the other members of the F7.(also possibly the reason that they called Merlin a prince in the movie, even if he was only a wizard in the tale)

This is my favorite movie cuz the heroine loves her body and when her and Merlin got together in the end, Merlin changed his views and loved her for who she truly is.

BEST FAIRY TALE PRINCESS ANIMATED MOVIE EVER. It gives a new spin on the classic fairy tale. Not the cliche princess movies you often see. A true gem this film is. It deserves more recognition and awards! And looking forward to a sequel of this! Or a tv series!! BEST FAIRY TALE PRINCESS ANIMATED MOVIE EVER. It gives a new spin on the classic fairy tale. Not the cliche princess movies you often see. A true gem this film is. It deserves more recognition and awards! And looking forward to a sequel of this! Or a tv series!! Really wanna see more of Snow White, Merlin, and the rest of the seven dwarfs! 🥺💖 (And also, I wanna know more about the fairy princess and see more of Prince Average! That guy was hilarious hahahah)

Can guarantee if you made an TV series, it get popular! If I’m being honest, I’m very interested in this world, and yours guys’ interpretation of these iconic fairytale characters. For a matter of fact, exploring Arthur w/Red Riding Hood and Hans w/Sleeping Beauty, would do numbers! Very interesting choice to pair up. Oooh, it be cool to see Merlin and Snow post marriage too! They’re just too cute! Anyways, awesome job on the movie! I’ve been merlined for a year now

No se si alguien que hable español este aquí, pero solo quiero decir que es lo mejor que he podido ver.... simplemente sin palabras, muy hermoso, todo, los personajes, su personalidad, el mensaje de la película... lo ame cada segundo. Merlín, alguien que se fijaba en lo físico, Red Shoes, amándose tal como es... Que amor tan puro el haberse encontrado y llegado a conocer más de ellos... La recomiendo al 1000000000000000!!!!! Ya se volvió una de mis películas favoritas. Espero puedan verla ^^ les aseguro que la disfrutaran mucho :D
