Just got here after unlocking Geno in the remake, I’ve been having a ton of fun with Mario RPG, so far, my favorite boss might be Bowdon, since he restricts the options you have, like you might only need to use specials or he’ll take away your ability to use items, it’s actually pretty genius and I wish more RPGS did that, this is possibly my favorite RPG now.
I know nothing about this game other than Geno, Mallow and Smithy but Culex straight up looks like something you would see in Earthbound or Super Smash Bros. with all that detail in its design. A straight up badass.
He’s not from Final Fantasy. He’s more of an homage to it. Kinda like how all the original characters in kingdom hearts are. The music itself in the boss fight is from Final Fantasy 4.
At first I wasn't sure about changing Mack to "Claymorton" but it definitely fits the naming conventions better (e.g. BOWyer, SPEARdovich, AXEm Rangers, etc).
There's actually a secret trick when you fight Exor. Just take out both his eyes and then use Geno's 'Geno Whirl' to instakill Exor in less than a minute.
I think they changed a bunch of names because they originally came out weird due to the translation for the SNES version, but personally I think those weird names had a lot of endearing charm and wish the remake carried them over.

Btw the original game game out in 1995 so while the Axem Rangers I believe were based in Super Sentai/Power Rangers for some reasons their NO BLUE Axem Ranger which is weird when Power Rangers 1993 to 1995 first aired in the USA the 5 rangers were Red Blue Black White and Yellow. But at the time Mario RPG got released David Yost the Original Blue ranger Actor of Power Rangers already left the show itself.

I don't think they cared too much about the colors when they made the Axem Rangers. Then again Super Sentai is much older than Power Rangers which was on season 3 by then while Super Sentai started in the 70s. Nope most of those glitches got removed and you can't even do the star glitch die then keep on using them since when you game over this version does NOT keep the exp/lv ups you had when all party members are killed all at once.
i dont know why the original uploader didnt include it, but theres an extremely hard new boss that you can beat. i wont say how to obtain or who it is though since its spoilers
