    Thanks Stacey,
I will try using the alcohol imbued swab around the placed sensor rather than cleaning area prior to application.
I was using Tegaderm over tape for CGM when swimming.
Following your demo I will now use this. I was using self adhesive dressings but due to my daily regular job intensive activity the Guardian4 disloges. The only other adhesive that works is Extra strong Adhesive waterproof XXL wound pad.

I agree @markpack4494 - I have yet to place the Guardian 3 on my arm - I can't afford to bugger up a sensor since I pay out of pocket as a T1D - and doubt @MedtronicDiabetesUS (I live in Canada but @MedtronicDiabetesCA hasn't posted much in the past 6-7 years) - would replace a sensor due to the PWD having issues with taping, etc.

I've been on the new 780G system for almost a month now. By chance, I started on the Carnivore Diet a week before I was notified that I can begin the upgrade process, so my Blood Sugars were very well controlled. Here are my observations...... When I BG, it is almost always has a lower reading than the SG. The variance has been diverse as 25 points. Only a handful of times has BG been slightly higher than SG. In my opinion, the SmartGuard works as advertised. It's as close to having an artificial pancreas as I have ever been.
Looking at the Summary data on the pump for the last 30 days the BG Average is 134 mg/dl and the SG Average is 127 mg/dl. I believe the diet I am on heavily influences these averages. In September, I will begin to add certain veggies, but no breads and other starches.
On the negative side of things, I offer the following: On my old pump, often in the middle of the night, as my blood sugars drop, the pump would keep feeding me more insulin until I ended up having a low blood sugar episode. This pump does the same thing. More often than not, I will be forced awake with a Blood Sugar reading of 75. When looking at the graph, you can see I was constantly being fed insulin (not in boluses) until it finally decided to stop, but by then, it was too late.
The pump seems to be better at preventing huge spikes on the way up, but not so good preventing low Blood Sugar incidences.
All in all, it is worthwhile being on this.

I been using pumps since 2005 and managed my A1C (5.9-6.4) over that time, recently let it to raise to 6.7 to avoid lows
I used the Sensor 3 for a couple of years and found the reading to be +/- 20 points not a big problem. I upgraded to the Sensor 4 and the reading are +/- 5.
My wife helps with installing the sensor and the tape has not been an issue. I bought a spare 10 pack of oval tape just to be ready.
The overtape that Stacy used looks like it comes from Amazon Simpatch Omnipod but they also have Guardian tapes

I handle installing sensors for my wife's 780G system. We seem to have better luck with sensors by using only the first oval tape, securing the sensor. After connecting the transmitter and having it go into warmup mode, I then apply a Skin Grip patch to secure everything. By using only the first oval tape and using the Skin Grip patch instead of the second oval tape, it is much easier cleaning adhesive off of the transmitter. I also leave the round dot paper backing on the Skin Grip patch to keep adhesive off the transmitter.

Ouch on the sensor not lasting. I'm an out of pocket T1D .. and trialling the 770g soon .. and my fear is not just what I read comments like yours, on sensor not lasting full 10 days (I'm used to Dexcom G4/G5 where many of us without insurance made the sensor last past the 2 weeks .. and now on Libre2 that lasts full 2 weeks). Along with accuracy of MM sensor, I'm hopeful the 3 month trial with a loopable pump goes as well as what Omnipod5/T-slim IQ users boost about. Wish me luck.

Medtronic adhesive=the worst. I have shaved, IV prep, skin tac, anti perspirant all separately and in every combination. They fall off in 1-2 days. What a dumb design to have the least amount of tape where the sensor goes into the skin. If they don’t fall out completely they pull out. I put a dexcom 6 demo on. WOW the part that goes in your arm is in the center and surrounded by the tape. No skin prep and it has been on for 6 days and no peel up. Meanwhile on the other arm I am on my fourth Medtronic sensor warming up now.

@@bradsteele3638 thanks! Still trialing this pump (upgraded to 780G - it's so so - and just yesterday - went back to Manual mode - since I really don't want to have higher A1c that seems to be occurring with Medtronic trial in AutoMode). Sadly, the algorithm really doesn't work for me as someone who is tightly controlled (OCD as some of my +50 T1D diagnosed mates around the world have told me - some of them using the 780G but with the other CGM competition) . Minimed CGM portion of their system is more affordable as an out of pocket PWD - in order to stay out of our overcrowded medical system here in Ontario, Canada ).
