As a 500 owner I massively approve of you latest treasure and for what you paid it’s an absolute bargain! My wife on the other hand is glad I didn’t see it for sale 😂
I've not seen an Italian job like that before. Interesting to see the Capri walk-around. Brought back memories of working in the Ford Parts division processing all the parts records for dealers to order
Just watched the video Al, and yes I bought a ticket for the 308D, I mean who doesn't want one in their life?? I'd love that classic piece of treasure to be honest! That much I'll buy another one Thursday when I get paid, nice to see an update on Fudgey's Capri as well, all the best to you both and thanks for bl@@dy good entertainment out of your busy schedule. 👍
That’s an unusual top quality purchase. Gotta love it when Al, you picked up the bit of card off the roof of the Capri and gotta love you ask Fudgy, “is that a template” rather than just discarding it. To which Fudgy replies “no it’s just what I mixed up some pug up on”. 👍 Nice update guys.
I had to go to Leicester on Thursday, nice to spend the day sitting on the M1!!!! You do find some nice bits of treasure if that’s what you call it !!!! 😂😂 There is a bloke on RUclips putting a 1.9 TDI, VW engine in a Capri with a Mazda box
Thanks gents for another excellent video. 5am is my regular start time for a few years now. I'm the first person to leave my street in the morning and the last to come home in the evening!!! Just before I married the Mrs in 1996 saw at a garage just outside Upper Heyford, a mk3 3.0S capri in silver with X pack arches for sale at £800!!!!! The strut tops were perfect, although the outside paintwork was very flat I was in love, but at the time I couldn't afford it so I stuck with the Mrs!!! Honestly the stupidity of youth as me and that capri could have had so much fun!!!!
Don’t be nicking any parts off my 500F for the Bee-Atch ‘will-it-start’ (were u in some way influenced in your purr-chase by OYO 🤔) video ! Safe travels Al, great progress Fudger on the Capri, and really looking forward to the Malta Vid ! JCHK
Good Evening Al and Fudgy. What do i see before my eyes. A True Italian Classic Rare every day runner. You get your Lamborgini's, Ferrari's and Bugatti's. But, this little Beauty, You can afford to Buy and Drive on a Daily basis. I won't try to pronounce the name o.k. This will be a Lovely Project to do Al and Fudgy. It was so Lovely to see the Beautiful Ford Capri have her cover removed. Fudgy, You have done so very Well. I could Well imagine, a Cosworth Power Unit being Fitted with a Big Turbo, and a new Exhaust System all the way through. I reckon for the paint Fudgy, how about a two tone Body colour, Ocean Blue Metalic and a Light Grey Metalic for the bottom half of the vehicles body. Fully Install a complete Interior with new Carpet. Blue-Tooth via your Mobile Phone a Kenwood System and some Top Quality Speakers to hear your Sounds Fudgy. How does that sound to You. It is only a suggestion alright. This vehicle will look absolutely Stunning and Great Kerbside appeal. 6D Diesels just Improves and Matures just like a Good Bottle of Fine Wine. Top Quality, Professional, Attention to Detail, and just Pure Excellence!!!!!. Jonathan/ Peterborough.
A nice looking bit of treasure there Al. The Capri is coming along nicely Fudgy, will be interesting to see what colour the Capri is painted. Great video as always!
Treasure!! Capri is coming on Fudgie 👌 have a great time in Malta Al, look forward to the footage! There'll be loads of treasure over there....canny trek to bring something back though! ....ooh I can see it now... "6D Diesels.. The Movie" 👍
Ticket for T1 bought. Please don't tell the Mrs. Had to explain the deal with the Pug previously, and some fell on stony ground. Loving the Capri update.
I totally absolutely 💯 percent love love love that little car. I am also super impressed with the work that has gone into that Capri, Fudgy is a fabrication magician. Those light buckets are poetry #fangirl!
I remember my first Capri, uncle gave it to me from his Bermondsey scrapyard where I bunked off school to go work at, he even shoved in a quite rare V6 and boy it was like liquid runs off a shovel but in the wet was like trying to control a 3 wheeled shopping trolley, slight suggestion of power and she blew her back end off the road... smoked it around the streets of south London and come summer it was a hot one so mate and I decided to convertible it... ten minutes with a cutting wheel on an angle grinder she was a convertible alright... she was lovely right up to the first speed hump when she became a "rainbow" capri because no one had explained to us greenhorns about reinforcing etc and so my banana yellow Capri became a banana shaped Crapri with a broken back and was like a lion in the sand with a hard on as the prop pulled out... The fun didn't stop there tho, kept the engine and box and uncle gave me a 1.3L "welfare" Cortina, so in it went and off we motored and boy did it shift then found out about why bigger cars have better bearings and brakes... so ended up rearending a wall as the pads up front literally went metal to metal in seconds, that poor engine survived into other Ford's but when it finally died I think it had given its worth poor thing.
Being a fiat-based car, that Autobianchi (Ow-toe-biank-ee!) is quite the survivor, usually they'd have all dissolved from using soviet steel in everything back in the day... :P
More top quality treasure! Got to be a future raffle prize? Who doesn’t like an old flatbed Merc? I’m going to double the number of tickets I buy (my mate just watched the video and gave me fifteen quid!). The Crapi is coming well Fudgie, can’t wait to see it in paint. Great vid fellas, have fun in Malta.
Great "treasure " purchase, so nice to have a capri update, coming on well, what colour will it be ? I've had 6 Capris, from 2.0s, 3.0 s,3.0 ghia ,2.8 injections, loved them.all
I was eyeing that roof rack lol Just the right type for my 3 wheel van (or Bearded Explorers), zip tie some suitcasery atop and proper Del Boy experience all the way :P
Al the Autobianchi Bianchina was meant to be a posh alternative of the Fiat 500. The engine is the same of the Fiat 500 estate called « giardiniera » that is different from the regular 500. However here in Italy that car is best known to be the vehicle of the clumsy main character of the popular film series « Fantozzi » and for that reason the Bianchina has not a good reputation.
AD ON MARKET PLACE: Non runner no underside no brakes no lights no value COMPLETE NIGHTMARE NOT 4 THE FAINT HEARTED "AL IM AVIN THAT TO PUT WITH MY OTHER 500 PROJECTS 😂😂😂😂 Love your channel so much defo need to get these 2 legends more subs and likes LIKE LIKE PEOPLE 😊❤
And NEVER EVER get restored like the beatle the golf gti merc convertible he bought 4 his mum 2 name a few!!!! I think Al is addicted to scrap or punishment 1 of the 2 oh I forgot the old pug pick up truck😂😂😂😂 I think MRS D needs to ban him from market place !!!!
Pucka Fiat and fudge take the last rear window out please you have done such an amazing job one that capri it's going to turn out picture perfect I can tell been a body man for too long now so al we all now know to get a few capri bits sold for the fudge have good holiday
the capri is coming on nice Fudgy 👍 can i say something about the 38 DGAS, in thoery the 38 dgas is a much bigger carb, with 2X38mm throttles compaired to a 32 and 36 of the standard carb but if you look a bit further into it you'll find that the 32/36 has 26/27mm chokes and the 38 has a pair of 27mm chokes, not such a huge differance as people think, in practise this means the 38dgas doesn't actually flow much more air than the 32/36. Where the dgas is a better option is with lumpy cams cos having two sets of idle drillings means you will get a better idle if you have a hot cam, IMHO if your not fitting a lumpy cam i'd stick with the 32/36.
Al, in my best phonetic Italglish the word Autobianchi = out-o-bee-hanky; feel free to drop the 'h' in the best English tradition. Looking forward to what happens next, not least with the pronunciation 😂😂
There was a lady who worked at my infants school nearly sixty years ago who had one of these but I’m sure hers was a van. I never knew what it was but I recognised as soon as it was off the recovery truck.
Hi Al well done on saving that autobianchi it will be extremely rare as to my knowledge they were not sold here in the UK new it will be great to see it restored Hubnut drove one on his channel may be worth you having a look What does Mrs D think? Fudgy well done that capri is really coming on good now and will look amazing when you have finished it you can see the hours of work there and it’s certainly a labour of love well done on the seats as well Enjoy Malta Al maybe take a spare case you may find some autobianchi parts there lol all the best to you all Daniel
The back looks like a A40 Farina hearse, with some odd ball bumper buffers...I wonder if the buffers hide appurtures to put wheel barrow handlebars in, to get you home...If you put all the crap on the roof rack out of the way, just thinking turn the whole lot over... I have owned a few Fiats myself (4) & had a Fiat 850 for a work van...

Great purchase, saw the convertible version in Rome when on holiday and that is a beautiful car.
It looks a lot bloody nicer in white that's for sure!!!
lovely little cars , lots of fun ahead
the side view looks like a B.M.C 1100/1300 estate

Fudge your Capri is going to be mint when it’s done .
Oh yes, that's the sort of car I can get excited about!
This makes the Trabant purchase look shrewd! Treasure? Perhaps it should have stayed buried. 😁
Autobianchi, pronounced Auto bee anne kee, great little cars.
Top Quality Al Fudger what a man the Capri genius
You are obviously short of projects after your clear out and the little Italian stallion, is ideal, exotic but sensible.
Being a fiat-based car, that Autobianchi (Ow-toe-biank-ee!) is quite the survivor, usually they'd have all dissolved from using soviet steel in everything back in the day... :P
