Despite the fact that I'm from germany and everyone here was hyped for Boris Becker back in the days Michael Chang was always my favourite player. In my opinion he was a great role model not only in tennis but in all sports because he showed us how to fight and that performing on the court is way more important than performing in front of a camera. It's a shame that he had his prime the same time guys like Pete Sampras and André Agassi had theirs. Chang, one of the most gifted tennis players of all time, lived in the shadows of those big names and never really got the fame he deserved. But if you're in a discussion with young ternnis fans today about tennis in the 90ies and they start talking about Sampras, Becker, Agassi and so on, you can at least say something like "There was also that one guy..." and surprise them with this hidden gem of tennis history :)
hello I see that you have matches of gonzalez, since years ago was in youtube ferrero vs gonzalez of roland garros 2003 was a nice higtligts, I would like see the video again. juan carlos was my favourite player. If you have the video please put it here.
Este fue el ultimo partido de Michael Chang y sin duda fue un momento histórico para quienes vimos sus partidos. Fernando González fue un caballero al respetar su trayectoria.
“ mindless tennis “ ? Please , these two are attacking in this manner just cause Chang , an American is getting his butt whipped. Terrible commentating
Yeah that was a bizarre choice..I personally thought they covered the tournament really well overa though. Courier, Mcenroe and Austin are among the best commentators, we saw everything live, and the network clearly made coverage of the tournament their priority during the fortnight. It was wall-to-wall coverage. I miss those days.
Mac, the worst commentator of the game ever....every thing he said was based on his game....wrong wrons wrong, game after game, player after player....his brother slapped him as commentator.
I'd disagree. Patrick McEnroe was the biggest homer for Andy Roddick not to mention is semi-ethnocentric regarding certain foreign players. Ironically, US tennis has been way on the decline for ages now with the exception of Roddick
My super hero when I was young and still. I'll never forget Chang.

Este partido fue la despedida de Chang del circuito de tenis.
The last match of legend Michael Chang ...

38:21 Federer is on the "One Slam Wonder" list. Wonder if he'll ever get off it?

Wonderful for gonzo to retire such a legend...
As we remember USA’s horrible coverage of The US Open, that boring music not fit for a class act like Michael Chang.

Where do you find this :) Keep them coming. Tnx!
el feña lo terminó?
😢😭
Either chang is younger than I thought, or Gonzalez is older than i thought he was.
chang was 31 at this USopen.
Paul Wilson Ah, thanks. he is a young guy compared to some of the other people I associate him with.
