I want to say THANK YOU for saving me $300 on labor. I ordered the right parts (bearing and sliders) and replaced them. Now I have a quiet and efficient dryer. Thank you a million times! So easy to accomplish with this video.
Thanks for making this video. One suggestion I would make is showing the proper routing of the wiring because your angles don’t catch it at all. When I opened my dryer to figure out what the squealing was; I discovered my top bearing was a pile of dust and so I left it disassembled. I had to search for the correct part and wait for it to arrive. Between the time I disassembled the dryer and when the part finally arrived I couldn’t 100% remember how the wires were routed. Thanks again for the otherwise great instructions
Thank you much. This damaged part was making clothing stick and get ruined as it spins. Once taken apart I realized this part either brakes with time or melts away. Broken pieces couldn’t be found. The top strips fit awkwardly but no other hiccup. Great video.
Thanks to this video, I was able to fix my very noisy 14 years old dryer. Turns out, the sliders were all gone and the drum was eating away the plastic of the bearing. After repair, the dryer is super quiet, even with a big load.
I was under the mistaken belief that I was looking for actual roller bearings. I replaced the drum slides. I take it that is what they call bearings in this case

MY DRYER STARING MAKING A VERY LOUD SQUEAKING SOUND THIS MORNING, WOULD CHANGING THIS RESOLVE THE PROBLEM? OR DO YOU HAVE ANOTHER SOLUTION?

kingleroyone Glad we could help!
How do you know its bad?
Mine was cracked, and delicate materials were "snagging" on the crack and ruining them.
good tutorial ..... i think all Dryers are front loaders ........
How do you know if the top bearing is bad?
Hi, if your dryer is making unusual noises, marks left on clothes or clothes are getting stuck in the drum I would suggest to replace the top bearing.
