(I was still in Miragent's at the time of this video - look closely at my armor.)
Me, on my level 50 Assassin, killing almost exclusively level 50's in the abyss. Lots of examples of killing when outnumbered in combat, usually resulting in total wipes on the enemy side. Only 1-2 of the fights include PvE mobs (that actually hit THEM and not me...), so the only thing that gives me a head start at the beginning is the element of surprise.
Note that in some of the clips I seem to purposely wait until players are done with a mob and top themselves off. This is not by accident, this is meant to show that it doesn't matter at what HP they are at or sometimes even what skills they have at their disposal. In the right hands, the assassin can be extremely effective at getting its job done, which is (surprise) assassination.

10 years later still watching this vid often when i play aion again what nostalgia feeling man
I started Aion because of this man, he was my hero, It broke my heart when he quit Aion. Now 10 years later And I have quit games since 2011-but this video still gives me goosebumps. I wish you are doing well Slic.
This video made me start playing aion, i stopped after 4.0, but for some reason this video gives me some strong nostalgia, it's always good to come here from time to time just for that :D
Can't believe people are still watching these. Thank you, you have given me nostalgia as well. I'll never forget the first 2 years of this game. I know this would sound strange to those who know me, but those 2 years were some of the happiest of my life. :)

IIRC Remove Shock didn't exist in patch 1.5. Level cap was 50, I used PvE armor and if you didn't stunlock someone as a sin upon exiting stealth, you were going to die horribly unless you were psychic.

He's in the Abyss throughout the entire video. The Abyss is a wide open territory with limited detail (islands/fortresses) where both factions have full access to any level past 25. It's the most common place to find level 50 opponents. Trying searching for rifting videos.

(water will pool up in the low areas, even if under a light rainfall, or flood during heavy rain), and an amazing new lighting scheme that you'll have to see the trailer to understand :) (also a boost to the already existing real time reflections in armor, water, and other reflective surfaces).

Some of the might were, but this was back when sins could stun-lock you. So it might have seemed that they were afk. :)

You'd be correct there. However, look up the "Aion Visions" trailer. In the patch upcoming after 1.9 we will be getting a massive boost in graphics detail and performance :). Just like EVE did, Aion will have alot better graphics in the patch, Including but not limited to: Real time snowfall (snow accumulates on objects and buildings, and melts off when the weather changes. Real time flooding if it rains hard enough

How is it so hard for people to learn rotations like this? I mean, really. Props to you for finally figuring out an effective stun lock.
I played wow since vanilla and have recently started Aion. Aion has improved upon many features in wow. Better graphics, character customization is awesome, more complex professions, better writing, you can own a house (similar to sims but more simple). The world is more immersive in some ways. I can't speak of end game but it's not self-apparent that wow is better by level 35 anyway

Just because two games builds on the same concept doesn't mean one can't be more preferable than the other. Each game is built its own specific goals and priorities, without removing any aspect key to gameplay. Aion for example, is centered more around PvP (or was, at least). WoW on the other hand is centered around PvE. You like a game better than the other due to individual taste.

As funny as I find the AFK meme, I think I'll finally shed some light on this outside PM's/game chat.
May I just repeat for the 1000th time. NONE of these people were afk. That second templar near the artifact, notice he took out his greatsword and then AUTO-TURNED towards me during the stunlock. Players who are not at the keyboard cannot do that.

Man, we were so bad back then. No scrolls, no clear focus, just face tanking entire groups because we had fenris/miragent and they were in whatever they found on the floor. I think Aion is a better game due to remove shock and other game changing mechanics. Two years after the first time I watched this video I'm seeing that sins were dumb as hell before they 1.9.

Deadly abandon for overall DPS, eye of wrath for spike damage. I use eye instead because I like to have guaranteed crits on certain high-damage moves (SA, shuriken, vaizel's dirk, etc.). Relying on only 45-50% crit rate has taught me that probability just loves to screw me over during the most important moments...
That, and I actually find I evade players attacks a lot more frequently without DA, which helps a lot against multiple opponents.
I so need to start playing this game again.....
There is no definite answer. There are many debates about this, but I don't really take a side. I just chose S/S for the bigger attack skill damage.
Skill damage-wise swords do more damage and DPS. In terms of weaving and godstone procs, daggers are better. And the list goes on...
I suppose it really depends on the person and situation, because there is a sin on my server that usually out-DPSes and he uses daggers.

pvp gear is called abyss gear; there green blue and orange green being weakest orange the strongest. pve gear is white to orange.
The glad at 6:39 was an idiot, if you use ANY precision cut skills or sure strike, be sure to use tendon slice/ankle snare so they cant run away!
I like the fact that you actually wait for your enemy to be done with a mob. I've been killed many times while killing mobs... and that sounds kinda unfair. I like to wait too, so we can have a good fight. :/

couldn't see it. can u mark it like the real timer? also he didn't just use stealth, so you couldn't see his shade. You can only see his shade IF only IF he just used Hide II.
@LittleMan9243 this is just world pvp(really cool but most of the games forgot about it) and then you have arenas and colliseums which are your standard arena/bg system

All I've seen is one player, stealthing and killing other players from behind, while they do not react.

@developedrain That's because these are only the clips of him killing people, not the clips of him dieing too, so he just looks like some kind of unstoppable force. I've known people who have posted similar vidoes, while in-game, they werent such hot stuff and died quite frequently, any any pvper with a brain would also know that if he was actually that good, that he would have a reputation and would be jumped or 'ganked' every chance people got.
No remove shock.... these were the days of salad and glory
depends on the class. assassins are very complex to play, as opposed to gladiators for example.

hmmm you made that first fenril templar go to 25% hp or less in just one binding combo?
If i do that, i can only make them go to 80% of their HP U.u
But still, very impressive, not many assassins I see now-a-days can hold their own like that, even with lvl 55 skills

I have a level 31 sin now and in pvp its really a pain to get kited by sms sorcs and rangers.. do you have any tips on how to catch them and keep them within melee range?
