    Brent really adds a human touch to what is normally not thought about by the average fan. The person who delivers a perfectly prepared bike that gives the the rider the ability to focus on his job, winning. The pressure of keeping Haiden Deegan on the podium race after race is real, yet the man doesn’t show any of it. That shows that his management supports *him*. The big family aspect rings true here.

    • @RichardR876
      @RichardR876 4 месяца назад +1

      Had exact thoughts recently. These guys have really struck something. Like you say, just think of the pressure these guys are under and look at the media presence this guy maintains. Almost making it look easy for the Deegan channel and other media interviews. This guy seems to be a natural. Haiden seems to have landed in the right place.

    • @spodey
      @spodey 4 месяца назад +2

      @@RichardR876 I couldn’t agree more. One word left out, though you touched on it well when you said Haiden landed in the right place, thats chemistry. Think about the fact that Haiden has someone he can ask about things a son would have trouble talking about to dad. Don’t get me wrong, Brian is an exemplary father bent on setting his children up for success in life, but the kid is full of questions about life. I think Duffy has the smarts to answer some of those that don’t step on the father figure’s toes. Back to chemistry, how many really talented riders success has suffered when they leave the team that made that success possible. If Haiden and Brian break that bond, by changing teams or a shake-up in personnel, it could happen. Honestly though, I think Brian could pay Duff’s salary to keep them together. Cheers, man. WFO

    As a mechanic i have so much respect for Duff, he always gets the job done and will work himself to death trying. Most people don't see behind the scenes and what all has to happen to make the weekend go smooth, god forbid something major happens like loosing a motor or other main parts cause its way more work on the spot. Even just cleaning up the bike between rounds sucks but to be pro level u got to have a pro level team, U wanna see teamwork watch some top fuel dragster and funny car rebuilds between rounds, that's the ultimate.

    I am sorry these new race technicians do not know what it was like to have to drive from Orlando to Seattle, tear down the bike disassemble the engine, clean inspect and reassembly. Frame plastics wheels tires yes tires we had to change our own tires, stock your parts that just showed up at the motel, get food the weekend wash and clean the box van, get the oil change in the van, change a flat tire in Minnesota in a foot of snow on the box van on the side of the road. Yes we had fewer races but crisscrossing the country twice a year in weather that no should be out in. Chipping the ice off the ground around the vans tires cause it rain last night and temps dropped to 0 by mourning. I would do it all over again.
