    I have the Sportage Hybrid.
    My last two cars were Toyotas. Honestly, compared to Toyotas the Sportage DOESN'T seem outdated .
    I did not intend to buy a KIA . However , when I drove it I absolutely loved it.
    My friends were saying " they are junk don't buy one".
    They are definitely not junk.
    All of them that called them junk that have rode in my Sportage were surprised at how nice it drives .
    I love my Sportage. I think it's beautiful.
    The Tucson looks really nice too. I am still happy with my choice .

The reason for buying Tucson is that I like the model over the Sportage and the dealerschip is excellent, a small family dealerschip with lots of attention for the customers instead of a dealer who only wants to sell, looking forward to all your videos, greetings from Belgium

    I've owned a Kia/Hyundai for the last 23+ years, in all those years, five different cars....not one break down, not one issue other than regular oil changes, wipers / tires......things you have to do with every car. In all those years TWO factory recalls. I have friends who make fun of Hyundai.....and I laugh when their more expensive cars break down.

    Another great video so thank you. I’m on the verge of choosing my next car having driven VW Touran model for over 15 years. I was 99.9% certain it will be the Sportage but now I’ve seen this video it’s making me have a rethink. The main deal breaker for me would be the outdated indicator / turn signal of the Tucson in its low position on the bumper as in the UK tailgating is a real thing and trying to turn that light won’t be visible. I wish the Tuscon had the higher indicator like the Sportage, then it would be the best. Thanks

    After a 4 yrs old Passat I got a basic Tucson Select pre-facelift 2 months ago and love all of it. Quiet and smooth driving, decent, spacious and practical interior, very modern exterior. The main reason I got it was much better availability and leasing deal (160 €/mon. for 3 yrs, 15.000 km/yr) vs. Sportage. But I also like the design better vs Sportage as well as vs. Tucson facelift.

    I have a 23 sportage hybrid FWD, bought during the shortage of cars in the US. Was challenging to get anything at that time but ride quality is amazing and I am averaging 43mpg combined in the FWD version and have room for my bike and luggage and camp gear for trips. Amazing car. Tucson is more expensive in the US but includes a service plan.
    Main gripe with sportage is no option for FWD at the higher trims. The gas mileage difference is substantial in the HEV version.

    I have a kia sportage hybrid 2023. Its a great car except a few things.
    1 - when coming to a near complete stop, there is a second lag before i can move forward again or i have to completely stop and sit for a split second.
    2 - the center console is great but the curvy cup holder on one side can be flattened out.
    3 - the auto liftgate opener is a little annoying. If you get out of the car and stand near the back it attempts to open. If you stand there intentionally wanting to auto open it takes too long. No win situation, i do prefer the foot kick sensor in cars.
    I see number 2,3 exists. Wonder if they addressed 1

    I have KIA Sportage PHEV 2024 ... 3 months only :). Really like this car. Very comfortable driver area, and all that I need is configurable, and it is excellent. One minus: there is no spare wheel, and there is no space for it. In my opinion, it is BIG minus of ALL HEV/EV cars, not only of KIA models.
    Some numbers:
    HEV mode: 5.2L/100km in city (up to 90km/h), and 6.6L/100km on road (up to 160km/h)
    Combine mode: 3.0L/100km
    Very quiet salon.
    All the rest is too personal, and each one pays attention to different points with different abilities to feel what is important and what is no so matter.
    If anybody has a question, I will try to answer.

No issues whatsoever, and the amount of stuff you get as "standard" compared to other brands is amazing. So it was a no-brainer when the upgrade opportunity came calling. I just bought a 2024 Tucson in the UAE. This is as of May 2024, as we will get the 2025 model here only by Nov 2024. I love the Tucson, I think it looks wayy better than Sportage, & since the hybrid model doesnt come in the top trim here, I went with the 2.5L Petrol top trim. Im loving all the features of the Tucson & it feels like an amazing premium experience driving it. Somehow I didnt even get a test drive on the Sportage, but i did test drive the CX5 & Forester. If the CX5 had more space in the back & the boot, I probably would've bought that even though it was more expensive by about $3000 for the highest trim.
    But finally, i found the max value for money in the Tucson 2.5L so i bought it.
    The CX50 isn't available here.

    Even tho the sportage got a two year gap.
    I enjoyed your comparison of the two cars. Very clear and not boring like some comparison videos.
    I test drive both cars my self. And you’re right about the phone charging in the Kia.

    Really fantastic review!
    Test drove both the Sportage Hybrid GT line and Tucson Hybrid Premium today. A few key differences that I noticed:-
    1) Tucson Hybrid is AWD vs Sportage Hybrid that is FWD only.
    2) HUD - only on Tucson
    3) Paddle-shifters can be used to increase/decrease regen (very useful for one pedal driving similar to EV)
    4) Hyundai has updated Tech Operating system
    Styling wise - I still think Sportage is just so much more cooler but it’s a personal preference.

    Great review. Love the look, updates to exterior and especially the interior, tech, ride, handling, price etc. However, the only thing I would change is to 1. raise the turn signals at the back HIGHER, closer to the light bar and 2. a minor detail but the key fob looks like it's from the 80's. The Kia key fob looks WAY better. Small detail, but I'm surprised Hyundai didn't do a better job with the key fob design. Otherwise, it's a home run imo..

    Being between the Sportage and Tucson FL right now... Sportage was my first choice before the Tucson fl but now i think im going for the Tucson. Firstly for the updated interior. Love that new design with the space due to the shifter being on the steering wheel. Also IFS, HUD, the new cleaner screen and the software, more buttons for controls instead of the captive buttons in the Sportage makes me choosing the Tucson. Love the look of the Sportage more though 😅. Of course the sportage facelift is around the corner... Will be for sure astounding if they do something similar to the interior. Hi. Thank you.
    You mentioned the new Tucson headlights. I think you meant Matrix LED on the more expensive trims, right? So it really much better than a normal LED on lower trims or on Sportage?
    Also wanna ask about normal 2.0 liters engine and 1.6 hybrid. In Europe we have huge differences in price (in US they cost almost the same amount). So is it worth to overpay $5k for the hybrid?

    • @CarSceneKorea
      @CarSceneKorea  7 месяцев назад +1

      Yep, the LED headlight with IFS is for extra, which is found on higher(highest) trims depending on where you are. The headlight works just fine so long as they are LED, but the IFS is the cherry on top especially if you drive a lot under low lighting situations. Money is always important factor when judging it to be a "good" car, but I might weigh towards the next upgrade of the car - which in this case is Santa Fe - for $5K if that's what you can get. If not, I'd think real hard about it and calculate if I can get that $5K investment out of Tucson Hybrid ownership, be it the experience, gas, insurance, comfort, safety, etc.

    • @AntonDanilchenko
      @AntonDanilchenko 7 месяцев назад

      @@CarSceneKorea Thank you for reply. In my country Santa FE comes without Matrix LED. Plus it costs much more (starting trim costs on $15k more). So it’s even different words.
      About lights do you think it worth invest in the better Matrix LED? Or it has a little improvement over the base LED?
      Also can you please record a video about the instrument cluster in the base trim? I want to see if it’s a good enough or only 12.3" screen must have. Thank you.

    • @CarSceneKorea
      @CarSceneKorea  6 месяцев назад

      It's hard to spot a base trim since most cars provided by Hyundai and in showrooms are near loaded models obviously. The latest ccNC from Hyundai is quite worth the investment. I'd rather save on the LED Matrix and choose ccNC.

    • @AntonDanilchenko
      @AntonDanilchenko 6 месяцев назад

      @@CarSceneKorea ccNC is about the infotainment screen or about the instruments cluster? Read about it, found that it’s a new concept in 2024 from Hyundai (hope from Kia too) with OTA updates. But not sure if it’s about one or another screen, or both. My understanding that it’s about having two big 12.3" screens to have this feature. And seems that cars with two big screens in my country have Matrix LED included.
      But sadly we have 2.0 naturally aspirated engine that seems a bit slow. And for 1.6T hybrid they ask to pay $10k. That seems too much to me

    Owner of a Sportage hev here. The European version comes with matrix lights which automatically adjust and “protect” the other cars in traffic. I am not sure if all the markets receive these headlights from the sportage though.

    1. Do these cars have reverse sensing systems that alert the driver? That is, do they make an audible alert to the driver when there's an object in the car's reverse path? (For example, if there's a car that's moving quickly across your path while you're reversing out of the parking space, will you be alerted?)
    2. Do these cars make a loud annoying beeping sound to the outside environment while they're in reverse? (If so, can it be turned off?)
    3. Do these cars have default settings that alarm you when you're crossing over a lane or speeding? That is, each time you start the car, do you need to turn off such settings?
    If the trim level matters to answer the questions, I'm most interested in the 2025 Kia Sportage Hybrid SX Prestige. Thanks in advance. Good video.

    • @CarSceneKorea
      @CarSceneKorea  2 месяца назад +1

      1. Yes, with some features the car also stops on its own when it detects any danger.
      2. The answer to this will be very subjective. There is reverse chime which is mandated by the law as the vehicle is a hybrid - running on motor on low speed. So it cannot be turned off.
      3. You can turn off the lane assist, the alert will go away.
      The answer applies exactly the same to Sportage as well.
