AaaaaAAAaa! That's so cool! I want to make it! Even the plain one has a minimalistic and geometric prettiness to it. Once I can get the ingredients, I gonna try to make it! :D
agar is easy to get in asian grocery stores or online. cool ingredient to experiment with. the jelly has a melting point over 90°C, so you can even serve it hot.
Actually this is called agar-agar in my country.we usually add flavor and colouring to it.and the things with the goldfish, that's briliant.gonna try it.
A lot of wagashi are made without animal products or alcohol, and most of them are vegetarian-friendly. For example Kingyoku on this clip is only made of sugar and a kind of sea weed. But there are some wagashi of which ingredient is alcohol like "mirin"(sweet cooking rice wine). Mirin is sometimes used for sweet soy sauce-flavored products, for instance. So I recommend you to ask the shopper to be sure.
How is Kingyoku not popular for the young people in Japan or elsewhere? I thought it was a pretty popular sweet dish. I haven't had it myself but, I hope to try it one day for my YT channel. ^_^
Why my agar turns cloudy....I used strips...the ones u used in your video....but I didn't get a clear or transparent agar....can u let me know how to get transparent agar after it sets....thanks in advance....
I watch your channel many years agoಥ_ಥ Your channel videos are very good and I looking for new videos many years🥺 (sorry my English is bad)I really love to watch your videos✨
The goldfish is made of,we call NERIKIRI, which ingredients used for soy bean paste, sugar, and kind of Mochi (sticky rice cake). Each shop has slightly different ingredients and coloring.
+NLDT STUDIOS If ever you come across a RUclips video that is in a different language at the bottom of the video if you see cc in a square box next to the settings icon "spoked wheel" click it and english subtitles will come up for you .

does wagashi contain any animal product or is it totally vegetarian? and can it be made with alcohol?

gelatine is made from collagen of animal, but kanten is seaweed-based agar jelly. When we take these images, we don't ask their recipies. I'm sorry…
in malaysia, we call agar means jelly
+Narumi Oakley in Viet Nam , it is called "Thach"

우뭇가사리 같은거에요!

All of you saying that the leaf at 0:58 is weed, it's not. It's Japanese Maple
Why it's not in English
Farjana Boby At the bottom of the video, there's a CC. Click that and turn it on.
***** The CC is inaccurate
The CC, to me is not inaccurate at all. It's perfectly fine.
Que recuerdos (':
This is indulging my inner OCD.
비누같은데..뭐죠?
No subtitles? :-(
무슨말인지모르겟다좋아요
0:58 weed ?
