"Mozart: Die Entführung aus dem Serail" features a star cast full of critically-acclaimed artists - including Rolando Villazón, Diana Damrau, Yannick Nezét-Séguin, Anna Prohaska and Thomas Quasthoff.
It is the third of DG’s series of seven Mozart operas conducted by Yannick Nézet-Séguin, and initiated by Rolando Villazón, in collaboration with Festspielhaus Baden Baden, U-Live, and sponsored by ROLEX.

Sounds great. As one audience member, I hypothesize that not having to act on a stage allows the conductor and singers to focus on the voice and libretto.
That is great! I have the previous two, which are great, and have seen "Die Entfuehrung" live at the Festspielhaus in Baden Baden. I can't wait for this new cd!

Diana's "Martern" has always been one of the definitive interpretations of that aria.

Si pones "Die entführung aus dem serail - yannick nezet" en Google te aparecen resultados. Yo pude conseguirlo de sitios rusos, aunque esos no son muy legales que se diga
Is there a recording that can be purchased? I am looking for a good recording of this opera to be able to watch on DVD.
Villazon speaks like he's had 1000 operations. They must have really retouched and remastered his takes.
Are we really needing ANOTHER recording of Mozart's Entführung? Aren't there enough? Why are recording companies so cowardly and produce always the same stuff? There are sooo many musical masterpieces that are worth to be rediscovered... If I can choose between Krips, Böhm, Solti, Harnoncourt, Gardiner, Hogwood... do I really need Nezét-Séguin? Why are you not producing something less known with this excellent conductor? Well, the answer is obvious. Lack of courage and greed for money...
Well first of all no amount of Mozart recordings will ever be enough. And secondly: what's a masterpiece that needs to be rediscovered? Genuinely asking. Like something from the same time period?
