*AND THIS BIRD YOU CAN NOT CHANGE!* I'm sure that people would've started a riot if this wasn't in Smash Hits. Free Bird, one of the greatest songs ever written and the conclusion of Guitar Hero 2's career mode. Everything that I could say about this masterpiece has already been said by thousands of others. The smooth as butter slide guitar during the main riff, the enlightening lyrics, and the *AMAZING* guitar solos in the second half of the song. You don't have to like it, but God be damned if you don't respect it. As far as scoring, there's a lot that can be done to improve this, including better ticks and squeezing extra notes during the activations.
It's really great that this version has crowd vocals tho, since those were missing on RB3. But also, really good job for getting 1st place on this song, here's hoping it won't ever be beaten.
Recently saw Kingsman for the first time, the huge fight scene in the church with this solo blaring in the background is one of the most badass movie moments i have ever witnessed. Not only is it styled like a single shot take, but it also is equally as frantic as the solo feels. Master class of film making right there

As I said on that video when it was uploaded, I think this chart is the better chart over RB3, solely for the fact that you get to tap for the first 5 minutes of the song. Great song btw, deserves to be here. Nothing terribly hard on Expert Bass, it's more of a test of endurance than anything.
Yeah, after 2 runs on Expert Bass, I think there's nothing too bad about it all aside from a couple sections in the solo and the BRE outro. Other than that, this song was... surprisingly fun! It managed to sneak into my Top 10!
Great song, but a long one too. I remember when I first beaten this song I beaten it with 4 stars lol, and now it's the only song from this tier that I have on 5 stars, nice. On the outro section I think the hardest parts are the strummy part and that section with the HOPOS, because for me that trill isn't bad at all, in fact it's one of the easiest in the game because the game gives me a lot of time to prepare for it, and because of that I've never missed there. Another song from GTA:SA, though THIS time it's from another station.

Though, I wonder why this song wasn't chosen as the penultimate song (and the Tier 7 encore) for Guitar and "Play With Me" was instead. This song just seems more like the "finale" type than "Play With Me" is. But enough of my rambling. Time to dig in! I just wrapped up a second playthrough of this song on Expert Bass (the first one was a sightread), and I gotta say... even though it's Tier 7 on my instrument, this song was ALOT of fun to play! Of course, the beginning is rather slow and easy, so I can't say much about that part except for the chords in the chorus, which consist of GR, GY, GB, and even GO. Be wary of those! Once the tempo picks up and we get into the solo, then the real fun begins! Seriously, this part is fun as all getout. This bassline keeps your fingers moving all over the place, and I love EVERY SECOND OF IT. The only parts I can say you need to watch out for on Bass are Guitar Solo N-Q, because it consists of gallops, and there's LOTS of them... and they even contain chords! YIKES! Talk about a stressful situation! Once that's over, it's basically smooth sailing until the BRE-esque outro. Seriously, I LOVED this song on Bass. I think I found a new entrant in my Top 10!
Well, if someone has a problem with "Play with me" being placed at the end of the tier, they can just play "Free bird" for the last, especially since "Play with me" isn't locked as an encore song. And yeah, I found this song to be fun on bass, and guitar too. I didn't play the RB3 chart yet, but im sure im gonna have a bit of an harder time playing that one than this one, contrary to what everyone's saying.

So also by that, tecnically TTFAF would be the 7th tier encore, despite it appearing on a different stage, but by the fact that you have to beat the other songs in order to get to the 8th tier, which again, only contains one song.
