The funniest part of the ABs complaining they were robbed in 2023 is the fact that they won in 2011 which we know was an actual rigged tournament. Referees literally got given free farms in NZ after the tournament for petes sake.
Its absolutely no coincidence that the australia game against the boks is widely reguarded by the vast majority of fans as the worst display of refereeing in the professional game

I think the rugby world is benefitting already from the next level rugby coached by Erasmus and played by this bunch of players. In so many ways the game has been taken to next levels by these Springboks! So be grateful for what they are bringing, learn from them. Already the use of the bench that so many pundits were howling in outrage about, is being adopted by all teams, they are all aspiring to having a bomb squad, perfectly within the rules of the game but not really focussed on before. Also the tactical planning is so meticulous and always innovative, and its always based on intense study of the opposition. The Boks calling a scrum from a mark to force the heavy French pack to run was a genius move, who knew before that the French forwards avoided running too much? I am enjoying rugby so much more since Rassie arrived on the scene, he is just so innovative! Greetings from Cape Town.

Hanson saying AB where robbed is saying Boks were weaker and did not deserve the win. It does not matter how good the Boks are there will always be those that think its undeserved. Absolutely, I agree with you. The 1995 Rugby World Cup semi-final between the All Blacks and South Africa was a defining moment in rugby history. Led by captain Sean Fitzpatrick, New Zealand went into that match as heavy favorites, but South Africa, under the leadership of Francois Pienaar, delivered a historic performance. The game was a brutal, tightly contested affair, with both teams displaying immense resilience.
In the end, South Africa triumphed 15-12, largely due to a combination of solid defense and tactical kicking from Joel Stransky, whose drop goal in the final minutes secured the win. It was a crushing defeat for the All Blacks, who were left to reflect on missed opportunities and mistakes, particularly the controversial last-minute disallowed try. For South Africa, the victory was not just about rugby; it symbolized the unification of the nation post-apartheid, with Nelson Mandela famously donning the Springbok jersey in a powerful display of reconciliation. The match remains one of the most iconic in World Cup history.

That is what has happened to the All Blacks, The Boks will have their run of success but as history shows us, other teams will catch up and over take them. Before 1994 SA entered the world rugby stage they studied their opponents from day one very carefully. They knew everything about the AB ,England, France and Australia and every Irish team players. SO, THE BAR WAS RAISED HIGH FOR THE SPRINGBOKS. That's why when the two SA fans raised a flag at the final of the AUSTRALIA and England RWC which said 'You ai'nt the World Champions until you beat the Springboks ' sent a chilling warning to WR if the Springboks would be welcomed back into the WR stage there would be an all out war. For each WC Final SA played ,the bar was raised higher and 2023 was just the epitome, the pinacle of success at the WR final stage.
Yes, THE SPRINGBOKS IS THE MOST HATED TEAM IN THE WORLD; THEY BREAK RULES .Oh and might I add they do not play 'according to the spirit of the game.' Mr HANSEN should accept the better team won on that night. Many of the old guard in N Z rugby have not grasped the fact that it is now a professional game and money drives it. It was never an N Z prerogative that they were the "gods" of the game. Professionalism changed that as more world teams levels improved and N Z sat back and bathed in past glories. England claim to have the best football league in the world, so they should win the world cup every time? These "old guard" are destroying the All Black's wonderful history and with it the world's respect for New Zealand. Thankfully, true AB supporters will always prevail, take the punches on the chin and get up and support their team through the good as well as the bad times. I couldn’t agree more. Ultimately, it comes down to the players' desire to win and their commitment to pushing through adversity. As you pointed out, experiencing setbacks and tough times can be incredibly valuable-it builds resilience and a deeper hunger for success in the long run. This kind of hardship often fuels greater motivation and determination in the next season. What’s most important now is that we continue to believe in the team, trust their growth, and support them fully. South Africa played brilliantly and earned their victory. While we had our chances, the reality is they took theirs, and that’s what counts. No excuses. I have no doubt the All Blacks will come back stronger, but for now, it’s important to acknowledge South Africa’s achievement and show them the respect they deserve. I completely understand and respect your point of view. South Africa’s performance was a true testament to their tactical discipline and mental toughness. Despite being physically drained, they stuck to their plan, absorbed the pressure, and executed when it counted. Their resilience, especially in defense, and the ability to take their opportunities was the difference. It's not just about skill; it’s about how they maintained their composure under intense pressure, and that’s what ultimately got them over the line.
That said, I have no doubt the All Blacks will bounce back stronger. Next year’s test match at Eden Park will be a huge occasion, and I’m excited to see how it unfolds. I agree with you-we definitely had chances in that final, and had we taken them, it could’ve been a different story. But in the end, we have to give credit where it’s due. You're absolutely right-while the call on Ardie certainly stirred emotions, in the grand scheme of things, our discipline let us down, and there were key moments where we could’ve made a bigger impact. Jordie’s missed penalty and Ritchie’s chance after Barrett’s try were pivotal moments that, had they gone our way, could’ve shifted the momentum. But as tough as it is to accept, that’s rugby-it’s a brutal game, and sometimes the margins are razor-thin. We can’t dwell on what might’ve been; we just have to acknowledge the loss and learn from it. It’s all part of the journey, and we’ll be back stronger. It’s easy to get caught up in the pride and passion we have for our team, but at times, we can lose sight of the bigger picture and forget that every team goes through its ups and downs. A little more humility and understanding could go a long way, not just in how we view our own team, but in how we approach the game as a whole. 2 kicks were missed... did Hansen saw the poles got moved twice? Thats why he said the AB was robbed? From a saffa though a red card in the finals is a total bummer... they could have given Sam the benefit of a doubt there. tbh it benefited the entire team's attitude and mentality after that call. Its a scary thought to face a desperate AB team.

I have a deep respect for what our South African counterparts have achieved in modern rugby. Their success is a testament to their hard work and dedication, and it’s inspiring to see them at the top. As for Sir Hansen, while it’s important to voice opinions, I believe true sportsmanship and respect are what ultimately lead to success on the world stage. Whining or complaining rarely makes a difference-it's the integrity and the effort that matter most. It unites us as a nation. ❤️🙏

From a Springbok perspective, that final could have just as easily gone the other way just simply by looking at those two missed kicks that was missed by centimeters.
We have two be objective and put ourselves in the shoes of our All Black brothers and consider how we would have reacted if our captain suffered a similar fate.
On the day both teams would have been deserved winners, but that final is a thing of the past and all that matters is the current moment.
I believe New Zealand rugby made an excellent decision to basically cut off the old regime of influential figures such as Sir Hansen etc.
Even if the appointment of Razor doesn't keep the status quo, and by that I mean, a winning percentage of 90% plus from the AB's as we have been accustomed to over the past 30 odd years, New Zealand rugby will ultimately be in a healthier position as it is clear that the old dinosaurs is entitled and has a limiting and dictatorial way of doing things and it looks like the modern game calls for a more evolved approach.
Razor would never spew such garbage and poison the climate for the fans and the players and that is why he is at the helm, and not those old (brilliant in their time but found lacking in current times) dinosaurs.
The current state of the game is such a blessing and for me it is so much better than the past since any of them top teams can turn up on a day and do a number on the other team. Clinging to the past can easily create a false superiority complex that ultimately will be detrimental, so I say this:
Sit down, Hansen. No one asked your opinion because the only opinion that matters is the opinion of Razor.

As much as I respect Steve Hansen for his accomplishments, I don’t think those comments were necessary. Scott Robertson is doing great things and deserves recognition for his efforts-I'm confident he’ll lead the All Blacks to big things next year. Hansen has a loser mentality. Cane executed dangerous tackle on Jesse which is red card in terms of Rugby rules. There was an aerial tackle rules transgression before Smith's try that was shown in TMO replay. All Blacks awarded penalty that could have won them World Cup but missed it. Kolbe was punished and another last minutes penalty for All Blacks awarded and it was missed, Du Pond and some coaching staff blamed the referee after quarter finall loss but they couldn't point out where the referee was wrong. They're trained in the rules of Rugby and assisted by trained TMO Officials. So they understand Rugby ruled better than we do. Let's be happy when we win and stop being bad losers.
