IMPORTANT UPDATE! At approx. 9:10 I talk about the check valve underneath the trailer. I suggest that to keep the deck from lowering on its own, you can lock the valve in place. The TPT sales rep on camera agrees with you, but unfortunately, that is incorrect and can lead to damage where the cylinder pushes on the tubing below the deck.

From Texas Pride's Engineer
If the bed is up, and the valve is closed, the cylinder pushes on the metal tubing where it's mounted and bends said tubing. The valve needs to be open when loading or unloading anything on the trailer.
I’ll have to say, that is one SEXY Trailer !!!! I love the tilt aspect of the trailer, as well as the twin cylinders that are hydraulic to lift the trailer too. Can definitely tell where Texas Pride took pride in their work ethic and skills to be above the competition in the trailer business. Way to go Texas Pride Employees and management.
I own a few trailers and move mini exs and skid steers daily. This trailer is one of the best I've seen. I use to have an old steel deck one. No maintenance, no boards to change. The tilt mechanism is one of my biggest headaches there's looks very simple and reliable.
Geez I still can’t believe how economical those trailers are. The bang for the buck, especially in this day and age, is great. The quality is better than so many others costing more.
Beautiful trailer! You mentioned adding a toolbox, you may want to look at under-bed type tool boxes. That way it would not take up any space on the flatbed portion.
The width of the main frame rails and the low deck height would make it hard to find one that fits
Build it
Maybe that’s an idea for Texas Pride to offer under bed toolboxes that fit under the fixed section of their tilt decks. Maybe go with polished doors to match the wheels. Also include binder hangers on the inside of the toolbox to organize your tie down equipment and LED lights inside the box for night work! Additionally a benefit to the box being on the side means you’re closer to what you’ll be chaining down and not fussing around under your gooseneck skinning your knuckles on the frame pulling long chains out. Nice trailer in any case. Congratulations
Can't build much suspense when the video title says what it is! lol
Beautiful trailer, as expected from TP. Between the factory tour and your purchases, TP has to love the publicity you give. I also love that the Nerd Pit manager wants you back!
Thanks for all you do, JD!
Mark Holland the nerd pit is almost done with the new website. Check out our channel “Texas Pride Trailers”! There are a bunch of walk around videos, but with in the next month or so we will have a lot more content coming!
These are the type of jacks on my Toyhauler, makes hook up so much easier. I hope that is tube and not channel the winch is mounted to. Watch what or how you load so you don’t crush the channel the lights are in.
I’ve seen several tilt trailers that use an airbag to lift the trailer.
Professional workmanship you can see off the bat.
My Nerd Herd is famous! Can't wait to start creating trailer content!!! Also stay tuned for the new texas pride website.
Hang some fabric on the walls and a couple curtains from the ceiling to reduce the echo in your filming studio.
Looks like a nice trailer. Only things i would change is, Bolt on jacks instead of welding them. More storage space for straps, chains, binders. And some mudflaps
Nice trailer! Why wouldn't they make the deck powered? They already have the pump in place for the jacks.... They're literally 2 hoses and a valve away from a powered deck.
You should check out Vbelt and sons channel about how he stores his binders. He has it figured out! That is a beautiful trailer!
Anybody notice the roller on the tilt bed for the winch. I like that.
Randy Cook Yes I noticed it right away the details make a difference.
Yes, I used to work for a compmany that build trailers and they had that on all tilt and roll back trailers.
We watched all of the tour videos. Your narration is superb. Texas Pride no doubt will pick up customers thanks to your visit. (Any company where the engineer wears a t shirt to work must be doing everything right).
Everyone should have one. The wife won't agree but everyone should still have one.
What if I need one to roll my wife onto?
Big shout-out to Texas Pride for sponsoring this video.
Love the trailer, but in my opinion, it's time to move away from those electric drum brakes, time to move to electric over hydraulic discs
Kevin Barry Thanks 😊
As soon as he said "we are trying to build suspense"
My thoughts - why did not i liked the video yet!!!
Nice trailer.. Would have loved to see the lights powered up..
Demo ranch definitely likes his trailer
Suggest they hang some fabric on the walls and a couple curtains from the ceiling to reduce the echo.
I have been using a king pin insert in gooseneck trailers for 6 years. Your capacity increases with a king pin and no safety’s chains required vs gooseneck ball requiring chains. Before I get the “not required chains in my state” if you haul commercial it is DOT mandatory. Did anyone know that You can’t pull doubles in Canada with 2 - 2 5/16” balls. One has to be a king pin. I Have CDL and pull doubles every week with an F450
While that is a great trailer. I'm on pins and needles, in suspense, for the new 5er. Whens the big reveal????
I wish more companies would be bring back production to the USA I think our economy would benefit from it.
npfd568rc too expensive
Nope. Things will be more expensive.
I wish they would build Travel trailer. Great looking trailers
So glad to see this actually. I was just looking at this exact trailer on there website yesterday. Gonna have to get one eventually. Can't wait to see you use it.
Boy would that be handy on the farm🤙🏽 great content as usual
Very nice trailer , the only thing I would change is the color!
Nice trailer! Only thing i would pick at is the mounting location of the LED lights on the goose neck. I would prefer they be protected inside the frame. But then i also drag through brush and tight quarters. Another add on might be decking the top of the neck. While you wouldn't want a large amount of weight there, it could be utilized. We decked the top of ours and then changed it to the bottom of the neck frame. great catch all. Moved spare to angle part of goose neck. Looking at mounting spare under front of the trailer.
Every body has bought a trailer and then realized an alternate or add on after the fact.
Is the hydo pump connected to the bed cylinder? Is that to elevate when loaded?
Really nice trailer👍🏽🙂. Thanks for the walk around.
I made the mistake of buying a Texas Pride three car wedge in 2018 trailer was nothing but a nightmare customer service was even worse. I really trust this channel I’ve been on here to view a lot of content I’m really confused on why you’d be promoting Texas Pride...
Good idea for the 5th wheel adapter. I'm not so sure I like the winch so high.
So the cable clears the ramp when tilted up.
I wont argue, but I disagree. Perhaps make the winch be able to rise up and lower?
You can always use a snatch block to divert the line lower but ours is mounted that high on our dove tail with removable ramps and it's perfect. With materials or disabled vehicles it helps lift up and pull to put less strain on everything when loading.
@@mattr2115 good idea
Good point. Straight pull up the tilt. And maybe since the front is used for pallets and loaded material it clears that.
I need a bumper pull with that exact specc
You allready have a hydraulic power pack why not have a splitter so you could have power tilt. Move the valve and then have your power jacks, seems like a stupid idea to have the gravity tilt. My power tilt car hauler allows me to pick up all 4 tires just by tilting it all the way up, I’ve changed spare tires without a jack, I also scrap cars so I can drive a car just on the back and then drop the deck it picks the front of a car off the ground 2 feet and there is tons of room to slide under and cut the cat out or whatever. So many benefits to power tilt
Both the trailers you specd are super nice and I’d copy 100%
Nice thought with the gooseneck
That's a pretty sweet trailer, but I question how short the tilt is for longer wheels base tractors trucks etc.
It's the equivalent of 9ft ramps
@@BTBRVReviews But the ramps terminate on a solid deck. Whereas after your ramp, there is air. He was referring to the length, not angle. Fair question.
It's a little boy trailer anyway - only rated to 12k. No CDL nor does he strike me as the guy to haul anything around larger than a riding lawn mower. Trailer is useless for any real work. Too short.
@@yogi6917 I think you ticked engineer boy off and he took his marbles and went away.
Yeah it is very light duty... mostly for towing cars imo.
The winch will bend the rail before you know it. The only thing I would like to see is more imbedded rings to anchor chains to when binding down equipment. The binders need to be blinded to anything but the guard on the outside edges
I really like this trailer, I could use I like it to haul my Commanders on to go to different places to ride and video for my channel. I'd love to see a company build a trailer like this but with some living quarters in the front and a double deck on the back high enough for my tallest Commander to go under and strong enough on top to hold a couple quads and then once stopped turn it into roof and a place to get on top to watch other stuff
Looks super heavy duty
3.5k lbs
Love the trailer but power coating is always better than paint. If your powder coat is flaking off it was not done right
How about a built-in tool -accessory box mounted between the posts of the hitch?
Dude my truck would look good on that trailer with you truck pulling it!
Bring it on!
Yes It's A Great Trailer & I Would Love To Have One Of Them
Thank You All For Liking My Comments On The Trucks & RV & Trailers
Again Thank You All For Liking My Comments On This Teailer
So my guess now is the 5th wheel is going into the 20K+ range if you can't use a Goosebox, also I guess you have a need for all these trailers??
If you are in the market for a rv 5th wheel check out the Reese Goose Box 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Air Ride Coupler Adapter. I love mine and it pulls better. Best of all no bulky heavy hitch to move when you want to use your bed.
Yes sir. I've partnered with Reese in previous videos and installed both the 1st and 2nd Gen Gooseboxes.
@@BTBRVReviews Didn't you do a video on the goosebox?
Awesome trailer. BTW is it me or does Devon sound like Stone Cold Steve Austin?
Trailer goals
That’s the trailer I need
First thing I would do is take it down to line x and have the whole deck and fenders done in liner
If he did that he won't have a slipper slide when it gets wet or muddy.
I love my steel deck. It's not slippery compared to wet wood.
Heavy duty winch would be handy for wrecked car hauler
So .... where do you mount the license plate? Awsome trailer.
so is there a rubber of closed cell foam gasket across the front of the hydraulic pump box door... so road splash does not just hit the front of the box.. blow upward and fill that box with water when it rains or a wet street it driven on.
I will stick with my old trailor looks like a finger smasher
I bet this is a dumb question, but why solar panel? Just to keep the trailer batteries charged when not hooked up to the truck?
I think it’s time to admit it....you have a trailer addiction!
I could use a trailer just like that nice spec !
Love it, how much?
Love it!!! Cost?
Looking at a Texas Pride trailer i am curious how the paint is holding up?
Nice trailer .
I love your new trailer
I prefer wood over steel. Steel gets to slick
Kept waiting for him to slip you the envelope full of cash. ;)
Me too :)
You are doing all this wonderful advertising for Texas Pride, why not bring your dumpster back to them so that they can replace your dumpster tongue Jack with a heavy duty hydraulic version. That would be cool to see and obviously good RUclips video material.
I inquired about that. They said not possible on a gravity down trailer. It requires an entirely different pump system.
Texas Pride cut out the latch for the chain box out with a torch, then welded the latch in place with too much heat, melting the latch, making the latch real sloppy. Otherwise my gooseneck is nice.
Great design.
Really nice trailer
How much for this particular trailer?
Thank you , from Pierson, Florida
Did they hide the rear conspicuously tape underneath the deck?
Nice trailer by the way.
Weird question… I understand why and how you built a 20k trailer and had it GVWR stamped for 12k.
My question is in the future, for some reason if you needed to, could you up-rate the GVWR back to 20k? And how would you do that?
I’d want torsion axels
Lol, wow that is great I love it, it match my truck, lol, man I just love your video.
Its a nice trailer but I don't like the steel deck . It's dangerous if you happen to want to use the trailer for wrecked vehicle . Aluminum would be better it want cause a spark .
Can you send info on this trailer and price, trailer is awesome!
Good afternoon. Why not a deck on the neck? I ask because of your statement of First Response help. It's added cost, but it allows for more cargo/equipment to be hauled pending the situation and as well you could put a toolbox or Jobsite box up there as well ie 48x24 or 48x30. Very nice trailer though. Be safe.
True. Didn't think about that
Not hating JD. Maybe talk to Devon about it down the road..? Thanks for what you do. Be safe.
Might be time to get your CDL.....you strike as a well educated individual that should be more than capable of passing the test.
If you get the chance do a video on there 30K triple axle dump....
CDL comes with it's good and bad.
Class A Non CDL is what most people with big trucks and trailers end up needing. To be sure, talk to your local enforcement agencies for more "legit" advice, too much hearsay.
In you Texas pride factory tour during the paint part. They said the use caulk to fill the seams. Is that just for cost savings vs fully welding all of the seams?
Also if you already have the hydraulic system for the front jacks why don't they do a hydraulic powered tilt bed?
It's not feasible to weld all the seams completely since the weld can also house areas for water to get trapped.
WICKED !!!
I have to say that I prefer pulling with the goose ball but I do like that you have the option for the 5th wheel hitch. As the guy who special ordered that very same option on my RV I really like that you have that same option. Howver, I hope you continue to use the goose ball hitch on your new RV. Looking forward to seeing the reveal of that one.
Question, though, I am not seeing a bracket for the license plate. Just wondering where it would attach without getting hung up on stuff?
Great video!!!
Pat
On the fender
Love it
Is there a shut off switch for your load lights? Seems like someone could switch your lights on when nobody around and kill your battery
I am installing a disconnect
Nice 👍🏻
I now want I getting
There is air in the hyd circuit.
Sorry I would have gone with a hydraulic tilt deck from pj trailers
For $6,000 more
@@BTBRVReviews ok I guess
16 doesn’t seem all that much for this .. I would definitely have a tool box but I would not mount it to the deck and lose space seems like they could put one on top you would not be affecting anything it’s usable space not be used ... second do they have cameras if so I would invest in one ... one other thing o did not see tie down ports on the actual deck that would be very helpful for motor Cycle’s strapping them down ... just some thoughts ...
Why did you not go with a deck over with a 102" trailer? Fenders sticking up sucks even drive overs. and down rating??? That depends how you register the power unit not the gvw of the trailer
Are you starting a hot shot business with all these trailers??
Is there any way to use ramps on this trailer if you have to load a truck/item with a long wheelbase? Down the road I want to purchase a trailer and would really like to have a tilt deck. I'm just concerned with running onto a situation of loading something with a longer wheelbase than the tilt deck portion.
You could just would use the lockout at a shallower angle and use ramps
You don’t have to answer but just curious what the price tag on something similar to this would be
Between $9k-$15k depending on options. I say the price at the end.
Tool box you need a spare wheel and tire maybe just a thought
Spare tire and wheel are clearly visible on top of the gooseneck.
Are the tilt trailers better for loading a farm tractor?
They can be since they simplify the process and don't require ramps. Plus the approach angle is shallower.
Get side/skirt boxes. Won't take up any room on the fixed deck area
Agreed, but because it's a lowboy the boxes might be too close to the ground.
@@BTBRVReviews I've seen some pretty thin boxes, might be worth a look. It's only holding chains and straps
How much set up like that?
Where does the tag go on it.
slickric41 oops lol. Turn it sideways and glue it to a fender ?
What would you recommend for a 26/28ft enclosed Gooseneck Trailer
Probably ATC would be my first choice
I have a 28 ft enclosed goose neck from Cargo Pro. 14000 lb total weight. I’ll be getting a fifth wheel adapter for it in the future. I have yet to put my wench in place. Just under $17g
You did not say what type of braking system you have, I hope it is hydraulic disc!?
They are electric drum.
@@BTBRVReviews Sad to read!
@@tombarker4478 disc brakes are very very rare on these types of trailer under a 10k axle. 10k axles and larger weight significantly more and would have reduced my cargo capacity quite a bit.
How .uch was that trailer?
Not sure it is as tough, as it is great looking.....will the rear recessed taillights get crushed by a heavy load up ! Can that hydraulic system holding up the tilt, support the maximum load of trailer ? Damm, buyer knows too much......talks too much. 😏
At 12k GVWR. How much capacity is left for a load?
About 7k. 5k trailer
Big Truck Big RV
👍 A lot lighter than it looks.
