Loved Harry since his tv debut. Interviewing with Johnny Carson, Cheers, Night Court, Dave's World, HBO, Showtime, magic shows, and stand-ups. RIP, Harry, Harry the Hat, Judge Stone, Dave, and thanx so very much, gentle man, for the magic and memories.
His SNL appearances were between 1981-1985. Love in this how he did the Penn and Teller fake 'let you in on the secret' act lol. Brilliant. Sad to learn he used a stooge/confederate re the $5 bill and huge red X but hey.
God, I loved him so much. ❤️🤣 Night Court was my jam when I was a kid. The great thing about Harry was that he played Harry Stone so well that you really forgot that you were watching an actor play a part. He is so funny here. 🤣❤️ May he RIP. This aint Saturday Night RIp Off. 🤣 6:29 🤣 The audience just losing it when he said that 🤣 Is this your first day with your new hands? 🤣🤣 He was such a treasure. ❤️❤️❤️
He kept the deliciously American razzmatazz of the old fashioned con-man and mixed it with high quality hand magic. Never forget though, he was the real thing, he has been in jail for his Cheers-type flim-flam. I smile just looking at him.
Time flies. I was in 7th grade in 1981. Loved the original Night Court. Here, Harry probably had no clue yet that he would be part of that show that would become a classic. Not sure how well the new Night Court is going to do, but I wish it luck.
Hung out with him at his magic shop in 2005 after hurricane Katrina. He gave me a $500 magic trick for free. He's also super tall. He told me Bull from nightcourt had to stand on a chair to look a lot taller than Harry. He was 6'4 or 6'5 and a super nice guy! RIP!🙏🙏🙏
Harry the Hat wasn’t just a character on “Cheers.” He was a persona of Harry Anderson, himself. Harry the Hat was born out of Harry Anderson’s need to make ends meet. He saw the street hustlers who would shake people down and have to make a quick exit when people who were parted with their money became hostile. He took that concept and turned it into more of a street performance act so he could make money while leaving his audience feeling ok that they just got hustled. He used his prestidigitation skills to take this act into clubs and onto street corners all over the country, and that’s how he ended up with a recurring guest role on “Cheers.” He would be in magic show lineups as well. I remember when the Disney Channel was a premium channel like HBO or Showtime. They had a variety show that featured him and other celebrities, like Alan Thicke. It was a fun watch for the family.
He is amazing, I must have watched it a dozen times……and not once did I see him drop his trousers while doing the trick, not only is the hand quicker than the eye, so too is the trousers!…….or am I just a little slow?
A brilliant performer. Why oh why did he star in that TV movie remake of Harvey and why did he listen to the director's insistence that he play Edward P. Dowd as a simpleton? Spielberg once approached Tom Hanks to star in a remake of Harvey and Hanks was horrified at the suggestion of even trying to follow in the footsteps of Jimmy Stewart.
If I'm not mistaken, Mr. Anderson ran a magic shop in New Orleans after that series ended. Did occasional stage shows through the years. Still hurts to hear about his death. I grew up watching NIGHT COURT wishing I could transport myself into that crazy world. Always envied the kid Leon. Got to work with all those great actors. God speed, Harry. Good luck tricking God into a game of 3-card monte!
oh boo hoo, how dare you get free entertainment and have to watch a ad that supports them to bring you more, how fucking dare them. your mom wanted me to tell you to pause your xbox and come up to eat your hot pockets and that she is headed to the store now to get your white claw. what a baby Brittany crying about a ad, shut the hell up.
You are seriously complaining about maybe 30seconds out of your life? (If RUclips was a Bag of Nixon’s and gave you one long ad) This is broadcast tv where un-skip-able commercial breaks last 2 to 4 minutes at a time, and “1 Hour long” shows were only 44min maximum. RUclips has spoiled everyone.
A class act. I used to watch that whole Thursday night lineup with my mom. R.i.p. Great memories.
I miss Harry so much! Night Court was a perfect sitcom, with the added bonus of having a lot of heart.
that was very late in his career, his early standup, snl and cheers performances put him on the map.
One show I couldn't miss...Night Court. This guy was hilarious!!!
I'm looking forward to seeing Bernadette from The Big Bang Theory play Judge Stone's daughter on the new Night Court
@@markjacobs3337 Me too. I'm hoping and praying her mom is Christine. I shipped them so hard!

Right now Harry is standing before God with a deck and saying, "Pick a card, any card."
he was a brilliant comedian and magician , one of the best, this appearance led to him gwtting the role of Harry on Cheers
RIP Harry Anderson, nuestro honorable juez Harold T. Stone.
Man, what are the odds he’d pick his wife, Leslie Pollack, out of the audience?!
Weird how magicians always do that.
I was wondering if there was a stooge, , after the red X was on two bills. Nicely done, tho
Really?? I didn't know that.
I was wondering if that was her, but I wasn't 100% sure.
That's not her.

His comedic timing is 💯
This guys good. I watched it over again. I didn’t c his pants drop at all!
You’re a wizard, Harry. 😀

Harry was cool 😎
Wonderful use of a magician's thumb tip! And, the "volunteer" was a shill. Still a great act as always. RIP Harry.
Pretty sure that's his wife, or someone who bears a striking resemblance to his wife at the time.
That's the hat guy of cheers
Harry the Hat. He made the most out of his guest appearances on Cheers.
Also Judge Harry on Night Court. :-)

Ritchie Toizer
He sucked in cheers too

Hmmmmmm
He didn't actually do it. He was joking. 🤦🏽♀️
S. N. L. Harry Anderson - Great stuff!!😂
RIP Harry, you are missed.
😂 too funny, he was a BFD 💕👍
A legend … too many gone too soon.
Camel grappler got me. :D
I'm Harry, but aren't we all!
6:29 - And so text speak was born. BFD.
I like to watch night Court 🌹😘
He cheats, he used real magic.
Good stuff.
The Night Court reboot is premiering Jan 17, 2023. NBC just announced. :D

Did he go back to touring with his magic act after his second show Dave’s world ended?

Unless that woman is accomplice, this would fool FU trophy Penn & teller
It was his wife.
yeah, its pretty evident the Xs are not exact matches on each subsequent bill - the only explanation is she is a stooge
BFD is from Junior high school!?!?!??!?
God, it's weird seeing the old style bills.
How the holy hell did he pull off the trick???
😘🌹🌹
He is doing magic tricks in Hell
No. 2 reasons. One hell isn't real and two even if it was he became a Christian the last few years of his life
Look at her nose.
Snl is bs,15 seconds ad,get ur money snl, pathetic
uBlock Origin ad blocker, FTW

Fake left thumb and the bill in the cigg box had a different x.
