Thanks Will. I was in Geneva last weekend and really enjoyed it. This video was genuinely really useful to me.
I think the public transport system runs fantastic there. All the routes were frequent and punctual and I was able to do so much because of it. The day ticket is definitely value for money, I would’ve paid that just for the boat journey alone.
    Keep up the great videos!

As a Swiss and someone who loves the city of London and England in general I can understand finding the London public transport better than the one in a (compared to London rather small) swiss city. Swiss public transport is better than public transport in most of England, but London has world class public transport that connects the whole city seemlessly. But nevertheless even compared to London, public transport in Switzerland will always feel more refined.

It was interesting hearing other people's opinion on the transport. When I stayed in hotels in Geneva I was given a travel pass which would last for the duration of the visit. The pass could be used on any form of transport. I don't know if other Swiss cities supply free tourist travel passes as I would like to go Zurich one day and the pass is a big help in the way to travel, plus it saves a lot of money.

@@pranavadevanuri7725 We stayed at the drake Longchamp one bus stop from the main train station and 5 minutes walk from Lake Geneva. It was a basic hotel. The 2nd hotel was the Eden near to the Botanic gardens which was in a quiet and cleaner area and 5 minute bus ride from the lake. Geneve hotels give you a free travel pass for the duration of your time there. You can use it on all forms of transport except taxis you can even use it on the yellow lake taxis. You should go up the cable car to Mont Saleve. The view is spectacular. Enjoy yourself and God luck.

Poor comment. And imho Zurich public transport system is better, even Basel.
But totally missing is information on complimentary "Geneva Transport Card" available for Geneva hotel and other official accommodation guests - they do not need to buy a ticket for zone 10, that is more than just the city but the canton.
By the way: a complimentary public transport card is available to guests in cities like Geneva, Basel, Bern, Montreux-Vevey (and more places in Switzerland) for free local or even regional public transport travel
