I can’t hear this without “It takes two to make a thing go right…” ringing around my head.

when I was young and clueless - pre-internet, let's say - I called this the 'yeadap" break cause of the sped up vocal and hearing so many early tech step songs with that 'yeadap, yea, yeadup...' looping through.
I've been enjoying this series, thanks Ned. Might even find myself dusting off ol ableton cause youve reminded me the simple fun of chopping some drums.

Lmao you're not alone! Everyone had a version of the sound in their head before someone showed us it was Think 😂😂😂. I used to hear "rattle"

Think > Amen. The snare alone is enough to enhance some other breaks with flavor. The iconic “YEAH” and “WOO” instant vibe.

I don’t know. I think the think tambourine is up there with the 303 squelch and 808 kick thud (and probably the amen) - it makes every song better.

Was listening to Mental Power - Deep Soul the other day (I think it might be my number 1 Jungle tune ever… maybe) and I’m hearing what I think is the Think break. However, there is a vocal sample that appears in this tune and tons of others, it sounds like a guy saying “wah” any ideas? 😢
