I own a Z900rs in the same candy brown & orange, love the bike and looking forward to next year. It was great watching your review, I live local to you and know Bristol well. Nice to see the z close to home 👍
You’ve got great taste mate! Ah so cool to have local viewers, I was born and breed in Bristol and emigrated to Somerset for my sins 😂 glad you enjoyed the video mate. Ride safe 😎👍
Wow this new RS is so close to the original Z1 in terms of looks. Having gone through two stroke obsession (Yamaha and Suzuki's) in the mid 70's I so nearly bought a Z1 in '76 but the £1100 price tag at the time was just out of my reach. I would be sorely tempted to get one of these new RS's (especially a 2020 spec in green/yellow) but whilst the mind is willing, the wallet is still weak.
Yes Kawasaki has gone to a lot of trouble to keep this bike as close as they could to the original. A real pleasure to ride too. That Z1 would have been worth a fortune now 🤯😄
Hepco becker makes some hard bags that are amazing, plus kawi has options like centre stand and heated grips. Mine, has ended the search for bikes totally, but the road never ends, cheers!
If they fixed the radiator sticking out, short fenders, and Lplate mount locale it would be a perfect bike. I want one badly. Oh plus the candytone needs a cafe with cowl edition
Hi ya test rode this year I'm 6,4 I loved it I rode a triumph america the bike is super smooth bit of a eye.opener for me last bike I had was a gpz900 the power was amazing probley could be on my bucket list great review mate
Hi there, ah yes it’s a big difference to the gpz900. I had a gpz1100 some years ago a great bike but in comparison the Z900RS is like riding a space rocket 😂 doesn’t surprise me that this bike is on your bucket list! Glad you enjoyed the review and good to hear it’s also comfortable for someone’s as tall as you! Cheers 😎👍
Cool, I do new and second hand bike reviews for Bristol Kawasaki. There won’t be loads due to the weather over the winter I expect but should be lots more once the weather improves. Thanks again, Griz 😎
Mate finally get the opportunity to watch the review and your exactly right, what a lovely retro / naked bike and the sound is bloody awesome 😎, Great review mate 👍
Thanks for the review, I picked up a black one beginning of this year and absolutely love it. Now I’m relegated to watching other people ride until spring comes!
Lovely bike. 2 years into a three year pcp on an sv650 and I think I’ll be getting one of these next. Has anybody who owns one experienced the snatchy throttle issues at low speeds ?
I do like that style of bike. I’ll look into it a bit further. Roughly the same specs as the zx6r I believe but correct me if I’m wrong. Have you ridden the Bandit 1200? Will be nice to have a comparison? Sorry if you mention that, I’m commenting half way through the video.
Cool mate, I’m sure you’d love it. Not really the same as a Zx6r no. This has much more torque and the gearing is totally different but in my opinion would very suit someone that doesn’t have a lot of experience on two wheels as it’s a very forgiving ride. No I’ve not tried a 1200 bandit but recommend you have a test ride on the Z900RS as I doubt you’d be disappointed 😎👍
Hey thanks mate! Yep I love this bike, the styling is spot on and looks so much like the original bike, they have even matched the revs, gearing and speeds of the original bike in some gears! 😯 You have to try one, definitely a perfect riders bike 😎👌
I love this retro styled Kawasaki. It looks very much like something I would hunger for when I was much younger. Love it. The one question I might have, is it smooth? ;) Great video Griz!
Why z900 and not z1000. Or is that , going to come along in a few years time. I’m going to buy one. Just been waiting for a sp model. Was hoping for a alloy beefy swingarm like the gsx1400 and the cb1300.
It's a Z900 because kawasaki decided they wanted to make a replica. Plus I think the original Z900 was much less of a handful than the Z1000. And to fit beefed up modern day parts would defeat the object of creating a replica that's not to say it wouldn't look nice of course 😎👍
How are the mirrors in this review ride, don’t think you mentioned the vibration element at speed? Was the exhaust standard? What is wind protection like for long distance?
Hi, this bike is super smooth throughout the rev range and doubt vibration will be a issue. Yes the exhaust is standard and wind protection was pretty good considering it’s a naked bike. All the best, Griz 😎👍
Sixth Gear Motorcycles I currently have aXSR900, the mirrors are very buzzy at motorway speeds, and the wind protection is (I know it’s a naked) garbage. So I was hoping I could find some review that actually comments on those as I do quite a lot of motorway/major A road riding, but I do not like the tracer/z versions
I hear you mate, I genuinely enjoyed the Z900RS a lot & thoroughly recommend trying one out. I imagine the Z it’s going to have a lot less vibration as it’s a in line 4 four verses the 3 cylinder of the XSR900. As for wind protection you could fit a screen on either bike. Best of luck with it 😎👍
Glad you enjoyed it! Haha Im guessing your referring to the font, just for the record I was using the Snapseed app font years before TMF! He copied me!! 😧😂👍
It definitely has a cool factor mate! Yep me too 😎 Thank you, I’m not sure how many I’m going to be able to fit in over the winter due to weather restrictions but I’ll be doing my best 🥶😂👍
@@SixthGearMotorcycles Thank you for your real road riding experience ( Dude?) That's what potential buyers want to hear. There's any number of sites and YT reviews that will list disc size, fork adjustment options, blah, blah blah. Zzzzzzzzzz. I collect my 2021 model on Saturday!
Ah your welcome mate and thank you. This is my thoughts exactly! All these facts and figures and spec etc are all fair and well but like you said there's loads of other channels doing that already, my reviews are more about how it feels than what the spec is and I think that's more important when it comes to buying. Congrats on the new bike and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did riding this one. All the best, Griz 😃👍
It's the perfect bike need windshield tho for cross country on the freeway the 1000 sx is great also I know I used to run them as fast as I could go for years and they never brake down and they handle super great even in the rain. Harleys are very bad in the rain because their not balance with equal weight on the tires and Kawasaki are🧝⚡
What an excellent test ride Griz
You have put the Z900RS at the top of my list!
Thank you mate, glad you enjoyed it. It's a fabulous bike, I doubt you'd be disappointed 😎👍
Love the look of the 900, great review Griz! So pleased you got this sorted 👍👍
It’s lovely mate. Thank you! Yes super excited & looking forward to getting some more under my belt 😎👍

Your welcome mate! A fabulous bike, I bet your loving it 😎👌 ah yes, spring can’t come soon enough 😶😂
Hi , you seem a happy chap on it and thanks for the trip and no twitchy throttle control , at others seem to find . Well said .
Hi thank you, yes its a pleasure to ride. All the best 👍
Lovely bike. 2 years into a three year pcp on an sv650 and I think I’ll be getting one of these next. Has anybody who owns one experienced the snatchy throttle issues at low speeds ?
They are great bikes, I doubt you'll be disappointed. I can't say I've noticed any issues with a snatchy throttle 👍
Why are the number plates the size of a street sign? Is the dealer sticker on the tank only on the demo or customers have to buy a heat gun?
Ha that’s the uk legal size. Most change them. And no the sticker is just on the demo bike 😉👍
@@SixthGearMotorcycles nice review, regarding the number plate, is it legal to change to a smaller one ?
Thank you. The one on the bike is the legal size. Smaller plates are considered illegal 👍

Good review mate... I would be interested to know how this compares to the triumph speed twin. Have you tried it? If so what’s your opinion?
Hi, thank you! No I've not tried one yet but will be trying to get some more test rides in when the lockdown eases. All the best 😎👍
Nice review, great to hear your enthusiasm is you background sportbike, cruiser, adventure?

How did you change the traction setting on the fly? Neutral and close throttle or were you in gear?
You can freely change whenever but the new setting won’t apply until you close the throttle 👍😎
Loving my Green and yellow 2020 sweet Kawi ride no complaint here ... .. ...
I'm not surprised to hear this, they are brilliant bikes! Enjoy 😎👍
Lovely looking bike that! Would love something like that for around town as the Ducati is a bit of a chore for that😂
Yep I was really taken by it 😍 Ha it would be ideal for that mate, no more achy wrist 👌😂
Great review of riding experience, thanks.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed 😎🙏

Me too.
Excellent video. Covered all the things I'm interested in.
Ah great stuff, glad to be of use! 😃👍
That thing sounds great stock.
It sure does! 😃👍
Those were my conclusions too 30mtrs into a test ride and I left the temp insurance £500 there as a deposit
Great choice, I bet you've been smiling ever since! 😀👌
Can't understand criticism of that bike, rode everything from a honda C70 right through to a blackbird and my search is over
Would you have this or a new Triumph Scrambler?
I’ve yet to try the Triumph Scrambler but will let you know when I get to try one out 😎👍

good luck 🤩
It's very beautiful.
I was torn between this and the new honda CB1000R. Settled with the CB.
Great review mate 👍🏽
Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed 😎
The CB1000R is a lovely bike too!
egg I settled with the Z because the cb was a little out of my budget. I love the Z but that cb was calling my name, maybe one day.
Nice Video 👍👍👍

great video, moor videos from you!keep up good work, dont cange way of makeing video

Yes mate, I’m pretty sure it would be perfect for you. Best of luck if you decide to try one 😎👍
@@SixthGearMotorcycles thanks best of luck nice bike again
you ruined the bikes looks with that stupid sticker on the tank !
It's a dealerships demo bike, most dealerships do same on their demo bikes. It's taken off once no longer used as a demo bike 👍
Correct you if you're wrong? Dude do your homework before you post a public video. I'm looking for info not conjecture.
Sorry mate, whats the issue?
