...same, honestly.
I didnt renew my id ( in my country you need id for some stuff and for getting into bars and such, the same basically ) for 6 months or something because it expired and i was "being extraemily about it".
Then i finally renew it and i get the replacement paper in time while they are making you proper plastic id card. Anyway, i was "being extraemily about it" and didnt go to pick up my new id, paper expired and all.
And then, there i go with my company on team-building trip and all to seaside for few days. When we got to hotel checking we all gave id's to collogue that does that stuff ( HR lady basically, there are not many of us in company so we dont have proper HR ), when she saw my scrappy little paper for id she went a bit white and was like "you still didnt sorted that out ?".
Anyway long story short, got checked into the hotel and she suffered the embarrassment of presenting my paper on which it clearly states it is expired and all. To me it was kinda funny.
Also it is personal achievement i managed to scrape through without proper id for 6 months or so XD

You can drive with an expired license for 2 years? I know if I tried that the police would be able to smell that my license is expired.
