I note no shortage of passengers using the train service to Hayling Island. Good to see the BR Southern Region station colours etc. The 1960s were the final years when British Railways was truly BRITISH RAILWAYS.
The original plan specified a bridge ,cheapskates put a crossing in and due to 4 trains per hour at summer peak times and of course a toll bridge a little further on caused chaos.Instead of fixing it they scrapped it.Another poor choice.

In the film just sfter the viaduct you can see the signal post and and its still there today.
I've never been on the hayling hills line it's a shame the line wont be put back together and the line would be running again
The Langstone railway crossing caused huge traffic jams at the weekends and during the week. much chafing at the bit!
