Thank you soo much for all these different Serbian language videos!! I am a Daycare teacher and recently received two 2 yr olds that only speak Serbian. This will help a lot!! As all they do is cry because prob don't understand anyone, poor babies. 😔
This video was really useful! I'm a Spanish girl and my boyfriend is from Serbia. I would love to learn Serbian but it's going to take a while cause it's not easy at all haha but I love it! I love how it sounds 😍 and I loved this video. It was really short! I'm looking forward to watch more videos of you ! Thanks for your time and dedication!
1:26 dati in Serbian actually comes from the Latin word “dare”. In the third person singular (dat) “dare” gains that “t”, that became a “j” in Serbian due to a consonant shift.
Today is my first day learning Serbian. Thank you very much. I feel knowledge of Russian can be advantageous plus I was surprised to see Serbian use the same word for money as is used in Turkish. 😎👍
I think that you could add the phrase "jok" its often used in Serbian language and it could be usefull for stranger when they hear it in Serbia or any balkan country
I did mention it in my book "Zdravo Serbia"! You can use it and you will hear it sometimes, but it's a borrowing from Turkish, and this time I tried to stick to Serbian equivalents :) But you are right!
I would use ‘daj meni vodu’ it if you want to stress that it is ‘you’ who wants water, not anyone else, or stress that you want ‘water’ and not any other drink 🙂
Almost the same, "spremi" could be used for ex. lunch, "spremi ručak" (make/prepare lunch) here you can not say "pospremi", or "spremi se za školu"(get ready for the school) also you can't use "pospremi" here. "Pospremi" means "to clean up/tidy up" mostly, but "spremi" means the same, plus to prepare something.
You know, I realized that I usually use an accent from Subotica when I pronounce isolated phrases in Serbian, which is funny :D I guess I do it because I want to pronounce it as clearly and as melodic as possible (so that it sticks to your head), but it ends up sounding like an accent that I don't use in everyday life :)

Ja sam iz Grčke i pokusavam da naučim srpski! Na grčkom "ne" >ναι da znači "yes" i u početku mi je bilo teško da ih razlikujem!
Love it!
Yesss nice video , teach us more Serbian ☺️
Glad you like it!

@@MojeBlu Ma jok! Lol
A "tsk tsk tsk" from a Babushka would be raw.
I always say Ochu instead of Hochu. I guess it varies in areas.
It’s a bit informal, but you can say it 🙂
Look at that lighting! 😂
:DDD Finally I didn't f*** it up!
Also, why are you learning sql?
For my data science course 🙂
Moje blu, Pravilno je oprati SUĐE
1 Sud
5 Sudova
Mnogo SUĐA
Wonder if we can say Daj mene vodu?

"Дај ми воду" would be more appropriate to me, or "дајте ми воду" if it is intended to be an official addressing.
Spremi ili pospremi? And what is the difference?
Almost the same, "spremi" could be used for ex. lunch, "spremi ručak" (make/prepare lunch) here you can not say "pospremi", or "spremi se za školu"(get ready for the school) also you can't use "pospremi" here. It was so funny hahaah!! :D
