  • This Creo Parametric tutorial shows how to use Flexible Modeling in conjunction with Multibody Modeling. In this particular situation, Multibody is used ti split imported geometry. Then FMX is used to rotate and remove geometry as necessary. Multibody Merge is then used to create a single body again.

As a beginner on Creo, I find this video very well explained, extremely useful and I really appreciate what we can do with the combination of both Multibody Modeling and Flexible Modeling. Thank you so much.

The tangency between the models went to space!
In a real project this resource would hardly be used, there are much simpler software that perform this task in a primordial way and you don't even have to separate the solid.
The second feature where you join bodies with projections is also far from the best, but if that's what the software has to offer, patience.
The comment posted here is about "the resources in question", the didactics, the knowledge and the beautiful work done on this channel are not being discussed, congratulations on the posts!

Sometimes people take the examples in the videos too literally and miss the point of the demonstration. In this particular video, it's "here are some tools that you can use to combine Flexible Modeling with Multibody." Sometimes people miss the forest for the trees.

I find it really helpful especially the remove command for joining the gap.. I was taking a longer path for doing the same thing which remove done in one shot

i was doing this over 20 years ago in CoCreate Onespace Designer. PTC bought that company and the product is known as Creo Elements Direct. I now use Design Spark Mechanical ( Cut down mini version of Ansys Spaceclaim ).

I appreciate that PTC continues to evolve. They invented feature based parametric modeling, then a decade ago incorporated direct modeling, and now have Multibody Modeling. This is in addition to advances like real-time simulation and generative design.

I want to model the handle of a an electric screw driver. I find it very difficult to outer the handle ouster surface curves and different cross sections etc..What do u suggest me to use flexible?

Really cool one today, unfortunately, I kept trying to grab the screen to rotate the model.

Put the mouse cursor at the point you want the center of the spin > press Alt+middle mouse. Also if you are in a Ass, holding the Alt key will highlight the part again press Alt and middle mouse to rotate

@@RnioBB Apologies, I meant trying to spin the model in this YT video.

Unfortunately I use Creo 5.0, is there a function similar to this for Creo 5.0? Or do I have to model everything on my own with the different Datum planes?

      (1) No. (2) I don't understand the part about datum planes.
