@ I've been throwing romans longer than Zoomer Historian has had a RUclips account. Also, no Nazi is mad over being called a bad word on the internet. Our beliefs are literally illegal in half of Europe, you think you can hurt our feelings?
@@boxylemons7961 you dont need an education to know jewels = bad. its moreso philosophy and logic 101 but i know stinking redditors like you dont particularly like those two things
Soviets should have something similar for sure. For example, Yagoda/Yezhov/Beria can be internal ministers whereas you have to choose between Molotov and Litvinov for foreign minister.
I like their Stalin system tbh, but it sure doesn't feel as fleshed out as what they did for Germany. Kinda happens after every major dlc. I think they took the paranoia system from Decisive campaigns: Barbarossa. Although that game doesn't look visually pleasing, it sure does a great job with forcing the player to make tough decisions as Germany.
Yeah, NKVD directors should be baked into national spirits instead of as advisors. Also it kinda wild that, technically, German historical rework have 6 political advisors instead of 3 of other nations, even when compared to their alt focus trees. I wish that the inner circle mechanic shouldn't as easy to pick as it is, but then again a lot of players have already complained that the current rework are "overcomplicated".
From my experience, the inner circle is largely about tradeoffs. Todt is a super strong pick, yet the research bonus and PP gains of Hess are also quite powerful. All things considered, it's about a 6 months difference between your first and second pick, so if you go with Hess & Todt in whatever order, you won't do too bad. I largely made this video as I saw multiple guides recommending Bormann, a few youtubers even said that Hess will eventually fly off, which is not true if you pick him. I can see how a meta can form in multi, but the system is quite diverse and allows for some unusual single player strategies.
Yep and in fact this lets you have both Todt and Speer at the same time as Speer fills the last spot and you can keep both until you need to pick your last guy which can wait until you are coming off building civs in mid-late 1937.
in my opinion it is relly stupid that Himmler is in the game represented as someone who is good at keeping resistance down. His brutal methods propably had the contrary effect.
Dude HOI4's understanding of resistance is so utterly insane it hurts my brain. Syria had a revolt during the game's timeline but starts at 0 resistance and 70 compliance. Vietnam had a whole lot of resistance going on at this point. Egypt, India and so, so many more were all so much more crazy than HOI4 is willing to get into.
@@Estoph11The fact that British Malaya, British Raj, DEI, and South Africa had all territories as cores is infuriating. Can't vouch for the other countries but I'm sure that DEI had a lot of internal resistance as 1930s approaching.
that's probably the point of the editable SS devisions is so you can have insanely expensive devisions fielded instantly and fully supplied. kind of like the American civil war Militias in Kaiserreich, you can edit the template to make them 30 width heavy tank devisions and they will spawn fully supplied and trained.
especially majors, many of the Minor countries have more expansive focus trees than the UK, Japan, USA, and France. heck Austria has a huge focus tree and they get Anschlussed by Germany in 1938. Paradox should really focus on fixing old trees instead of giving the Congo a focus tree. what's next 200 focus Liberia tree while neglecting Japan and the USA.
There's character bonuses and permanent bonuses. Most of the 'auto' focuses will also gives the latter which means you can juggle the inner circle for stacking bonuses in early and mid game. This would maximize your inner circle bonuses in the late game while keeping those who have the most useful character bonuses active in the circle.
I’m big on Hess to get the PP flowing, then Todd then Goebbles. Only downside of this is you need to wait a little longer for war eco but at that point youre still building infrastructure and civs so its not a huge deal
Good video, but you could have mentioned the fact that all the economic inner circle members all used slave labor and getting an abstract buff to construction and production with no downside feels kinda weird
There's a lot more that I could have mentioned, you're right. Yet it turned out to be longer than expected, so I had to cut some stuff out. I mentioned the documentary that the mechanic is likely based on and I hope people who want to know more about the subject will check it out, as it was quite different to most other ww2 series I've seen.
For the Economy I prefer to first take Todt and then switch him out for Speer, that way you get both the 3 mills from Todt aswell as the 2 Civs from Speer. Todt first because he gives some Civs Construction Boost. His industrial Concern is nice, but Speers 10% Output just beats everything. People always forget that what matters in the end is the output of the Mills and not the overall amount. And even if its the same amount of output, you want to go the way that uses less Mills as that also uses less ressources.
20% mil construction speed and +1 slot in high infrastructure provinces is better than 10% factory output my man. Going Speer > Hess > todt is hands down the best. Gets you the most factories and is the go to for MP.
Yep, from I remember. They are basically the successors of the SA. Which the Wehrmacht saw is just a ragtag die hard Militias. And it is the same towards the end of the war.
I always do Hess -> (Todt into Goering) and by the time the third slot is available I'm pretty much indifferent to picking between the limpy letch or the chicken farmer although I feel bad not unlocking Sepp Dietrich via the chicken farmer because he was such a good general in the old German Tree.
Will give them a look, thanks for your feedback and I'm glad you liked it. PS: did you join as a free member? I see them as not found when I try to download them without joining. I'm new to Patreon and I didn't find a way to make it free without the platform requesting a trial.
I feel like Paradox went a little to hard on making the Nazis look cool in this DLC, even in the trailer where they had this big talk about "German Science" and the image of Hitler standing in front of a nuclear bomb. It just seems like they made these images and focuses to seem heroic or epic without thinking WHO they are making seem heroic or epic. (just my two cents)
Crazy how they did the same thing to USSR but I doubt you cared at all about that. Hoi4 is a war game not a political one, politics should be kept at a minimum
@ actually I feel like the USSR is treated rather fairly, you have the purges, Stalins Paranoia, and the propaganda. It makes sense to portray the Soviets how they do because it represents Stalins cult of personality while also showing how unhinged he was with the paranoia system. Hitler is given no bad traits or decisions unless you count the MEFO bills but even Conrad adanour can still have those. Hitler and his inner circle are treated like these heroic figures and given no bad qualities. The holocaust and their persecution isn’t even mentioned. Stalin at least has the paranoia system and the great purges representing the millions of people he had killed.
@audrius337 the ussr was not glorified, but to the other thing you sre wrong even if it was a cod game, the naz1s sholdn´t be glorified or even humanised, they aren´t humans, they are monster
Yeah, I kind of struggle with that. Hoi4 depicts the war in a very gamey way. And the implications of the horrors are often ignored. I only played Germany once, and I do not recall a single mention of the Holocaust
@SeanMendicino-n3d nope! Paradox won't touch the holocaust with a 10 foot pole. Consistent in some ways with rheir refusal to depict prisoners of war, strategic bombing innocents killed, any sort of civilian casulties and the like. On the other hand the Holocaust amounted to about 1/6th of all people killed in the war.

@LeroxYT The DLCs generally just overcomplicate a game that is already overcomplicated without adding any more realistic aspects. The complexity of HoI3 and Darkest Hour did not make the game less realistic. HoI4 has become a totally anti-historical reddit-tier shitshow. The less they tried to analyze and explain ideologies and governments, the better. Focus tress as a concept were already bad enough to begin with. The only good things to come out of the DLCs have been railways and AI advancements. The espionage and political stuff has been borderline unplayable.
@EricNapoli-z3d hoi4 is more popular than ever right now because it isnt 100% historically accurate with everything, it doesnt have concentration camps or anything like that, like cmon dude if you want realism so much then get the Black ice pain but that shouldnt be in the main game and i dont think it really overcomplifies it really, the dlc is just a rework of several focus trees and some new special mechanics for special techs, that isnt that much more complicated.
