As a 60 year old with very dry skin, I am interested in trying the foundation once I work my way through at least one that I already have. I did buy the miracle balm in bronze and I do like it. Def a learning curve in how to use it. I don’t think I would be interested in the powder bronzes. It seems to me that maybe she is trying to make a product for those that don’t use a lot of cream products, especially her very balmy products.
I got the Dusty Rose bronzer and the first time, it was like I sat out in the sun and feel asleep with no sunscreen. So absolutely a color I turn when I get sunburned, but holy moly, very easy to overdo.
Most bronzer looks too orange. I don’t tan. I don’t have a summer vs winter shade. I’m always the same color. I wear sunscreen constantly or I’ll turn pink the red. This has been the only bronzer that gives me the color I would get with a bit of sun.
@@Bekindtopeople No wonder. I’ve got an ancient Revlon cream bronzer product that is the most perfect “my shade when I’ve got sun” and it has a very pinkish nude undertone. Of course it’s been discontinued forever. Have literally carried it around Sephora like a lost puppy trying to find something similar. It’s almost empty, but I only need a smidge so it’s lasted YEARS (I probably shouldn’t still use, but do without ill effects fortunately). It’s great as one of those blush/bronze products that works in place of both when doing a natural look.
it’s nice to finally see some positivity toward jones road :) i know it’s not for everyone but most of your opinions are how i feel. especially what you said about the face pencil and popping it out in the car, that’s me all the time!
Jones Road is selling a bronzer brush, that I think really informs the intention of the bronzer. The brush is massive, slightly pinched, full but fluffy with a flatter face that rounds out to the edges. In demonstrations, it's used to drape the perimeters of the face and neck with a light even glaze of the bronzer color. Honestly the brush is more interesting than the bronzer (to me) because the Alamar fair face trio is still my go to.
Since you brought it up: what's the deal with car mirrors, that they're so revealing? Are they just higher resolution? Is there such a thing as resolution in mirrors?
Thank you Kackie for filling us in on Pisces. I'm also a fire sign and have just been going through it in the not best way. It's great hearing an explanation for why
Can you do a roundup of all the blushes/bronzers that are a similar shade to the Jones Road dusty rose? I NEED this color on my cheeks asap but the Jones Road has ingredients my skin doesn’t like 😢
So my favorite combination of bronzer/ blush right now is the Jones Road bronzer in dusty rose as an actual bronzer and then I use the Bobbi Brown bronzer in Antigua as a blush. I’m super fair-skinned with red undertones.
I bought the Jones road WTF after watching HLPs video and I’ve never been more obsessed with a complexion product. I’ve never found a foundation or cc cream type thing that doesn’t cling to texture. Yeah it’s light coverage but mixed with some green color corrector is evens out redness and combined with Kosas concealer *chefs kiss! I’m so happy, I put it on the other day just to walk around my flat… p.s. can you do a this or that with MAKE mimetic bronzer and Haus labs bronzer? ❤
Great video! But now I'm debating between Jones Road Miracle Balm and SNY blushes, Jones road mascara and Ami Cole mascara, and the Jones WTF or Salt New York Sneaky Balm. I only have one face, but want them all!
My Jones Road mascara gets better with time. I think the drier it gets the better my lashes look. I’m also the type of person that intentionally removes extra mascara off the wand with the tissue paper because I believe that most mascaras benefit with as little product on the wand. However the JR mascara is soooooo good at applying the mascara that I never had to do that.
I like how you mention several brands here! I learned about 2 news make up brands thanks to you. Love your review of Jones Road Beauty! Would love to see you with a toned down "color" on your face. Not just peachy coral bronze y tones (you look gorgeous in those tones)! love your reviews and sense of humor!
You must be a mind reader, I was really curious about their pink bronzer. It's an interesting choice! (still watching your video rn so I'm sure I'll have more thoughts after). I did also just buy my first bottle of mac radiant face and body- and I was recently interested in Jones Road but it seems like if I have one, the other would be a little redundant. Also you influenced the crap out of me and I ended up getting the 5 color Hindash Matte set. It didn't come with boy tears but... it looks so beautiful in your videos I might have to cave and get it too.
Get the Boy Tears; you will not regret it. I too got the 5 color Hindash set, and I have never felt sophisticated and beautiful in my life. It's like having Hindash there to do my makeup. 😍
@@ojaigirl I would have thrown it in my cart but I thought boy tears was in the set and didn’t realize it wasn’t until after the fact 😂 I’m excited to use it tomorrow for the first time. Good to hear about boy tears ❤ I’ll be planning my acquisition of it soon 😂
The Bobbi brown regular line that she sold has 2 pinky illuminating bronzers Antigua and Maui. You may want to give them a swatch when in a major store with a BB counter.
I am fair-skinned and I bought the BB Antigua bronzer and I love it. It's not very saturated (unlike the Jones Road one) and it just looks like a very mild sunburn on my skin or simply a soft flush.

I love the Miracle Balm as a blusher….so I’m soooo confused/intrigued about a powder product. Literally no powders touch my face the days when I wear miracle balm😅
I adore the Dusty Rose bronzer. It's very much a "long day out in the sun" color for me, especially if i use too much, haha. I also adore the What The Foundation, and I really like using a powder cheek over it. I find that adding a balmy miracle balm over the balmy foundation is just too balmy, but with the balmy foundation then my dry skin doesn't mind a powder cheek.
What The Foundation is almost exactly the same product from Bobbi Brown that was discontinued. People lost their minds over that. Myself included. Glad she put out something very similar for this dry, sensitive and rosacea prone face.
Definitely don't be sorry about peach 🍑 - it looks great on you. This was an interesting makeup tutorial. I did not think it would all work together - yet here we are!
Literally every makeup brand looks great on your skin! Your skin is perfect! I am in my 40’s and currently loving Seint, but this brand looks very interesting to me!
I have the pink blush/bronzer that BB created when she was still with BB. I think the name is Antigua. I am very fair and I love it. This is the perfect bronzers for me. Re: miracle balm, they are nice, but I don’t believe they were ever intended to be blushes.
Hi Kackie, I love your videos…I make my daughter laugh because I am always talking back to you on the screen. Regarding the rash on your finger…it’s called ring rash and it happens when product, soap and skin cells get stuck under your rings. Dusty Rose reminds me of the vibe I get (and use) from the Hourglass “Mood Exposure” blush. I’ve a l w a y s used that product as a “blonzer” for me. It’s like a warm-ish mauve and mimics how I, personally, would “tan” [if I did tan]. Thanks for the video. I’m totally tempted to try the wtf! ❤️

i’m so glad I watched this before I pulled the trigger. I’ve been wrestling for weeks now on whether or not to buy the dusty rose Jones Road bronzer. I’m really pale and once upon a time many decades ago, I fell in love with a Mac blush I used as a bronzer and can’t remember what shade it was. More likely than not, It’s definitely discontinued as it was so long ago, all the Mac products I love always get d/c. thank you for this review and saving me some bucks… I love this and all of your content 🖤
Oh Pisces session might explain some things going on in our world too… and all the emotions my 4 year old is going through this last week or so… the daily tantrums and flip a switch to crying of it all. Appreciate you, thank you for the reviews as always!
I actually loved the bronzer on my fair skin. Actually the first bronzer that has ever looked good on my fair cool skin. The miracle balm in flushed I am still trying to figure out.
Love coming to this channel to be grossed out by descriptions like the WTF being soupy with chunks, but that is also exactly the phrasing I need to know when purchasing a complexion product
Thank you for the Flavedo & Albedo coupon code! Do you have one for Jones Road? I have been contemplating trying them for a while, but I have been holding off because of so many mixed reviews, and at $85 for free shipping, it has been much easier for me to shop elsewhere. One of these days I will try Jones Road, maybe Black Friday. I will say it does look lovely on you and OMG rose quartz earrings with the gold tones are absolutely stunning on you! I love this whole look you put together, quite possibly my favorite so far.
I wear the powder bronzer and miracle balm together. But I don't wear a base, I just wait for my sunscreen to dry. I do bronzer 1st and then MB 2nd slightly over it. I found my merit brush works really well to apply the MB.
I think the main reason there are some differences between the miracle balms depending on what colour you choose I believe has a lot to do with what different types of pigments that are being used to color the balm. I mean the balm is pretty much castor oil with some other oils and a wax. And that is probably exactly the same in all of them. But there will be a difference if you add a coloured pigment to the mix or if you add some mica and glitters like in the shade that Hanna Louise Poston finds to be different from the others. As that has no real coloured pigment that may make the product less goopy if that makes sense. Since the formula is aspiring on being clean and natural they will not bother making adjustments in the formula to make the different shades appear more similar… but it’s just an educated guess… I find it is only the one called magic hour and the untainted one that differs in feel and are softer, while all the others are fairly similar. On the powder bronzers i thing the main reason is to reach an older bobbi brown fan base as one of the all time most popular Bobbi brown cosmetics products has always been her powder bronzers. So I guess she just wants a chance to capitalise on that. And with them bronzers and her other powder makeup products like the eye shadows and the very classic eye liners she can sort of reach many of her old customers I think… while the balm products are still finding their way to their future fan base… the colours are almost identical to her old school powder bronzers and I think she was one of the first brands who truly tried to cater for different skin tones with her bronzers too. And particularly then for very pale women on whom most bronzers are either too yellow or too orange… but again just an educated guess…
My dog is usually pretty good about not responding to TV dogs but as you were ruff-ing with your dog he gave a little growly half-bark without even getting up from his snoozing position.
Speaking as a Cancer sun who attempted a marriage with an Aries once upon a time, I am not surprised that Pisces dampness is bringing you down a bit. Fire and water do not get along very well unless the ratios of other elements are just right. Keep the warm colors around you, and candles, and full spectrum lights, and light a fire if you can. East coast winters are dark, and springs are damp.
Is What The foundation good if you get oily throughout the day? I have the rose bronzer and like it but feel it's a little too powdery but maybe that's to counteract the sticky of the balm which I absolutely hated and returned. Felt like Vaseline.
Did you say the kosas lip balm the sportmax? Was the next best lip balm to the og agave lip mask? My 2015 tube is starting to shake even my truest hopes that it's still ok to use 😭
Jones road moisturizer and foundation have saved my dry ass skin this winter. 29 definitely took my try skin to very dry and my routine was just not robust enough. No moisturizer/foundation combo made it to the end of the day without looking like the fucking crackle nail polish from my teen years. End of day with Jones road, I look worlds better.
I got Light Tan and I really like it but I was super disappointed to see how little product is in it. I swear I can already see the rings in the pan and saw them before I even used it. Most bronzers are 7-9g and this is only 5.7 😢
@@joyds4688 Ah, that’s so disappointing! Otherwise it’s a beautiful bronzer. I also feel like because it’s more sheer and buildable you’d definitely go through it faster than a normal one too.
this is just personal preference but I do like the natural looking skin with the more "glam" (at least in comparison) eyes and blush/bronzer. I understand liking having one aesthetic/vibe, but it's so pretty to me when people mix them together.
I have the Dusty Rose bronzer and I use it as a blush. On me it looks like the old Benefit Dallas blush (no shimmer) and this was my Holy Grail blush for years. It does have a tremenous amount of kickup but love it any way. I don't wear it with WTFoundation....
Great review, and spot on about the bronzer in the dusty rose! I do love the color tho, but I wanted to try the mascara but I have oilier eyelids and was wondering if it leaves the dreaded dots on the lids lol
I think Tom Ford Terra is the best pink based bronzer for the fair skin while Gucci 01 is a bit darker for my skin tone (I think it would suit more to someone with light medium skin tone). From what I see online Jones Road shade is a straight up muted dusty rose blush.
Apricot/Peach colors love you. No reason to fight it. I was born with Sun, Mercury, and Jupiter in Pisces and I'm so sorry because yeah...the Pisces energy can be...yeah. I find channeling it into art or something creative helps. And escapism for when the feelings are really just too much (though I need to be wary of over-escaping lol)
Learning question: is the blush made to work with very dark skin such that the roses color and pigment will show up? I’m medium Caucasian so I’m still learning about formulations that are more inclusive. ❤️
I've seen & heard numerous people describe their wtf as having tiny balls of pigment dispersed throughout the product. Supposedly they can be more pronounced or apparent dependent upon temperature & humidity?
Nooooo.... lol years ago I accidentally made something very much like that formula, in a color like Miami Beach, and everyone assured me that was the weirdest thing they'd ever heard of. It was juicy but more occlusive and looked so good. I made it to wear in extreme cold, when you need skin protectants, but turns out you do not need blush at -40°, and, in reality, I had no resources to really make it something, but of all the products that have come out, I never expected to see a commercial dupe of my face balm project.
Is it okay to say that I liked your makeup before you added the eye makeup? I thought it looked so pretty (full disclosure, I rarely wear eye makeup). I really like the Jones Road pencil and Miracle Balm so am now extra curious about the bronzer. I am medium with a cool undertone so it is incredibly hard for me to find bronzers. Thank you!
I'm only half way in and I feel traumatized. Globs in the foundation. The powder blush/bronzers. BUT, I enjoy seeing rose quartz ear plugs back. I'm still wondering what fish is wearing that one rose quartz ear plug. 🤔 >>Reached the end and I feel better now. 😊
Hahahahahaha Lisa hahahahahaha yeah my rose quartz ones don't match and that's why. I love that you remember that *personal attack* I endured from the Atlantic Ocean 😂
Now what the heck is the deal? If I were to use that many eyeshadows, and liner products, on MY eyelids, I would look like I was going full glam, or it would look like a muddy mess. I always try to add different shades to tweak my look, but it ends up a mess. Wtf? Whyyy 😩

Oh Pisces session might explain some things going on in our world too… and all the emotions my 4 year old is going through this last week or so… the daily tantrums and flip a switch to crying of it all. Appreciate you, thank you for the reviews as always!
Your Jones Rd Dusty Rose looks so much warmer on camera than mine looks in person. It’s more cool than warm.
I actually loved the bronzer on my fair skin. Actually the first bronzer that has ever looked good on my fair cool skin. The miracle balm in flushed I am still trying to figure out.
Hola! Love your energy! Since the dusty pink is sooo pigmenter, do you know a dype?
Ray is still available in some places! I bought mine in December. Nordstrom had it last I checked.
Since the formula is aspiring on being clean and natural they will not bother making adjustments in the formula to make the different shades appear more similar… but it’s just an educated guess…
I find it is only the one called magic hour and the untainted one that differs in feel and are softer, while all the others are fairly similar.
Your eyes looks STUNNING with this makeup
My dog is usually pretty good about not responding to TV dogs but as you were ruff-ing with your dog he gave a little growly half-bark without even getting up from his snoozing position.
It's a some bones day 😅
This is the explanation we all need - WTF indeed!
I laughed way too hard when you started barking. I just…I needed that today 😂
I feel personally attacked on my very Pisces birthday because as a Pisces this is clearly about me 😅
Did you say the kosas lip balm the sportmax? Was the next best lip balm to the og agave lip mask? My 2015 tube is starting to shake even my truest hopes that it's still ok to use 😭
Jones road moisturizer and foundation have saved my dry ass skin this winter. 29 definitely took my try skin to very dry and my routine was just not robust enough. No moisturizer/foundation combo made it to the end of the day without looking like the fucking crackle nail polish from my teen years.
End of day with Jones road, I look worlds better.
Cool bronze is maybe my fave eyeshadow of all time.
I got Light Tan and I really like it but I was super disappointed to see how little product is in it. I swear I can already see the rings in the pan and saw them before I even used it. Most bronzers are 7-9g and this is only 5.7 😢
I agree. I've had mine for 4 weeks and have already hit pan. I don't use a lot nor wear makeup everyday
@@joyds4688 Ah, that’s so disappointing! Otherwise it’s a beautiful bronzer. I also feel like because it’s more sheer and buildable you’d definitely go through it faster than a normal one too.
Its the detailed comparative reviews on products for me
Thank you! I’m dying to see a compare / contrast of the Miami Beach and the revolution thingy.
this is just personal preference but I do like the natural looking skin with the more "glam" (at least in comparison) eyes and blush/bronzer.
“Passenger side flip-down mirror of truth” 😂😂I almost spit out my lunch.
I don't have much to say except that Pisces is KILLING me, man. I feel you. It's so roughhhh
Bobbi Brown said in her masterclass that the fairest skin-tones look orange with bronzer and they need a bronzer with a little “pinkie” in it.
What a great look, the peach tones definitely love you back!
Great review, and spot on about the bronzer in the dusty rose! I do love the color tho, but I wanted to try the mascara but I have oilier eyelids and was wondering if it leaves the dreaded dots on the lids lol
I don't have oily eyelids so I wonder if someone else might chime in? My sister swears by it though and she does have oily skin.
Thank you☺️
Love WTF foundation, so good! :) I'm almost ready for more Jones Road stuff. ❤️
So, the inconsistency of the formula, between shades, is the constant in this brand
You can use the miracle bomb over the powder bronzer.
I think Tom Ford Terra is the best pink based bronzer for the fair skin while Gucci 01 is a bit darker for my skin tone (I think it would suit more to someone with light medium skin tone). From what I see online Jones Road shade is a straight up muted dusty rose blush.
Just found you. Very entertaining makeup tutorial and makeup descriptions too:)
Can you rec a bronzer that would would with Jones Road?
If your WTF has chunks, please contact JRB customer service, it’s not supposed to have chunks!
Oh, and your complexion is FLAWLESS here 🎉
I spat my tea out at “Jones that road” thanks
😂
Is it okay to say that I liked your makeup before you added the eye makeup? I thought it looked so pretty (full disclosure, I rarely wear eye makeup). I really like the Jones Road pencil and Miracle Balm so am now extra curious about the bronzer. I am medium with a cool undertone so it is incredibly hard for me to find bronzers. Thank you!
After watching this, I am going to skip the bronzer and try Miracle Balm in Magic Hour - you have inspired me!
Do you know if all the “blush” colors of Miracle Balm have shimmer??
Some do and some don’t. You have to read all the shade descriptions on the site. I think magic hour has sparkles in it but I can’t remember the others
@@ChrisLauren Thanks!
Is this chasing the Boom Stick?
Don’t worry Kackie! Mars is FINALLY moving out of our 12th house soon! And then hopefully we can feel less messy? 😂 Love, a fellow Cancer rising
Love your necklaces...Info?
How strange. I have porcelain too and really like it. But I haven't had any texture issues with it so far. No chunks, no icky separation, nothing. 🙃
Whoa, those bronzers are gorgeous on you, Kackie!
Ive been waiting for this review!
pisces energy has me thriving idk?
I'm only half way in and I feel traumatized. Globs in the foundation. The powder blush/bronzers. BUT, I enjoy seeing rose quartz ear plugs back. I'm still wondering what fish is wearing that one rose quartz ear plug. 🤔 >>Reached the end and I feel better now. 😊
Hahahahahaha Lisa hahahahahaha yeah my rose quartz ones don't match and that's why. I love that you remember that *personal attack* I endured from the Atlantic Ocean 😂
Oh Kackie how dare you 😛 As a fellow Aries , ( Gemini moon here) March is our friend!
Quick hit: Sneaky Balm + JR Face Pencil.
Welcome back, GenSee Flaccid Doefoot!
0:42 okay Moira Rose
YESS
Now what the heck is the deal? If I were to use that many eyeshadows, and liner products, on MY eyelids, I would look like I was going full glam, or it would look like a muddy mess. I always try to add different shades to tweak my look, but it ends up a mess. Wtf? Whyyy 😩
I thought the bronzers had waaaaay too much kickback. :-(
