omg I was just scrolling through my subscriber list and I found you and you are the person that taught me how to play a valheim, I followed you back when you were like 1000 followers❤
Glad I could help
Thats interesting, had no idea that was possible. I only know that for a similar effect, mobs can be trapped by floor and stair build pieces. As in, their AI doesnt allow them to attack these build pieces on purpose. Even the weak wooden ones. They will attack walls, beams, columns, roofs... but not floors and stairs.
Pretty cool, you could get creative and make an enclosure entirely composed of floors or stairs stacked on top of oneanother, put a hostile creature inside, and it wont be able to escape because it cant jump or climb over the obstacles you put. Its as if floors and stairs are treated as natural prefabs and ignored by their combat AI (monsters generally dont attack at rocks and trees, for example)
That definitely sounds similar, its like the mobs get stuck "thinking" about their path, and they never come to the end of the thought !
a few months ago I did a "dark magician castle" build in creative mode and I successfully spawned and trapped in such cages a cultist and a rancid remains. I though they got stuck because they are not meant to interact with most of the building peaces since they these mobs are found only in dungeons.
Thats similar to how I found out about this! I was building a wall for Captain Crumbs building challenge, and I put goblins in a cage. I noticed the goblins stopped behaving as soon as I placed the final cage peice. I also was able to do it with cultists and fenring as well, just like you mention. However, Ulvs and wolves, for some reason, always attack
@@JPValheim maybe the mobs need to be a certain size to get stuck in a small confined space. Now I want to do some testing with various monsters and the 1x1 meter cage panel.
Let me know what you learn from your testing
That is really interesting! I have to try with a troll now.
Good luck! I struggled to get the troll contained but I only tried for a little jaja
Try with Ragnar first 😁
@@jarlaxlegaming81 🤣🤣🤣 Easy - just pop Deep Blue in there and Ragnar be there within seconds!
Genius no matter you got there. My guess is because the Goblins need to run a path around you before attacking. It can't move, so it can't get to the attack part of it's attack.
They can attack without running, as they attack if you are on top of them.
I thought that too but they can attack me if im in the cage stuck with them jajaja they dont need to move to attack, they just keep wailing on me if i stay inside
💁, all well it was just a theory. Anyways I'm doing it.
