Oud Minerale is a fragrance I was not sure what to expect. A highly grey scent with a good oud or an aquatic. I got the latter with minimal oud. On an aquatic take it's one of the best, as an Oud scent... well forget about it. Overall a solid release from the house of TF.

Bought it when it came out. That salty opening is amazing. When I smell this I see a foggy, misty day on an upper California beach, littered with driftwood and rocks. I love this fragrance. I took it with me to France, so now it reminds me of the Côté d’azur too.
I love Oud Minerale. Makes me think of splitting large blocks of granite at the edge of a salty and foamy sea.

I've always said this one is essentially Bvlgari Aqva Oud, love that realistic sea air and salty breeze up top! Will definitely have to give Sel Marin another look now, I wasn't impressed initially... For me, I actually do get a fair bit of oud mostly in the drydown, but it's definitely not in your face, rather more of a subtle smokiness in the background that I think is more of an incense/oud combo. Also interesting how different peoples' skin project fragrances differently. For me, I get 12+ hours of longevity with strong projection! Also, I think this one reminds me more of a desolate foggy/misty Pacific Northwest beach in the Oregon/Washington part of the US when it's 50F outside, rather than a warm sunny beach in California. Definitely a sleeper in the lineup IMO!
I now only buy fragrances that I love and this is one of them.
Oud Minerale is in my Top 5 of the Tom Ford Private Collection.
i have a bottle of it, i loved costa azzura, but i was like..hmm hows oud minerale smell... i smelled the bottle and just bought it then and there after praying it on my arm hahaha! i got in on a crazy 40% discount.. i regret not buying the 100ml. definttley full bottle worthy, awesome aquatic blind buy if you ask me. smells like the medditeranean sea! salty and dark and flinty. i love mineral smells so, this one is just perfection in an aquatic, id say there are very few aquatics worth purchasing right now, only one other from ANFAS, but aside from that.. id get this as its more readily available id say.

But I am going noseblind to it and my sample used to make me full on euphoric but since Ive got a bottle it's not the same (same formulation and it's real) the bottle made me euphoric and was gorgeous for a week but now I think I've used it too much and I'm going noseblind!

Yup, if you dig Sel you're gonna equally dig this offering. I do so, I do. lol Haven't pulled the trigger on a bottle yet but it's definitely on my radar. Like you Mark, Im not a huge lover of aquatics....even citrus bangers fall a bit short of my buy button BUT....I do enjoy them when they offer something off the beaten path and interesting ala OM or on example of a citrus type fragrance, hmmmm maybe Orangestar from Tauer. Too linear for me but probably the best execution of the creative direction of a cold rocky beach.

I've smelled this briefly and it did kind of reminded me of House of Matriarch's Orca. I need to ask for a sample to test a few times properly.
Tom ford is my favourite house. But I haven't tried this one yet. But on your review on it. Sounds I won't be disappointed.

This and aqua Di sale are amazing. Sel marin is tame in comparison I wear this and it’s a fucking cold North Sea storm. Bracing
Have to agree! Like this one a lot! If you are looking for something that's aquatic but not in the traditional sense with a heavy woody backbone you should give 40 Knots from Xerjoff a look! I'm sure you've tried it already though! :)
40 Knotts is very unique. I haven't worn it enough to come to a conclusion, but, I like it so far. I wasn't expecting the scent profile it has.
I equally enjoy Oud Minerale on a rainy day as well. The green sea vegetation notes really come out in fog and rain and in a city like San Franciso it falls right into place. I prefer Oud Minerale to Sel Marine but this video has peaked my interest in the ladder scent so I'm going to give it a few wearings again.
I discovered a real salty aquatic gem mancera wave musk it is like bvlgari aqva but it has a unique black currant note thrown in there to make it spring appropriate
Oud Minerale (Spring/Summer afternoons-early evenings, especially for outdoor activities), Tom Ford Tuscan Leather (evening), Creed GIT (whenever and wherever), and maybe surprisingly Terre D'Hermes (anywhere and everywhere except hot summer days) are my go to scents.
I'm gonna disagree on his take. This one is a hint of Oud combined with driftwood, sand and something else. Smells like a yacht party after a day of sailing anchored by a forested island.
Rob, Nice job on the graphics. Major props they really work well through the video. Lot of work masking out some of those notes, but looked fantastic.
Tom Ford is one of my favorite fragrance...
I like it it’s very unique last long and I got a full bottle of it. The more I wear it the more it grew on me
Nothing pairs better with a linen suit and an early evening in the summer.
This reminds me of a mashup between Sel Marin and Bulgaria Aqva also. However, I like each of those a bit better than Oud Minerale by itself. Good fragrance though.

Hmm.. strange... I've heared about the saltiness and algae a lot regarding this fragrance, but I couldn't pick up any of it. It is a pleasent scent though. If you like this fragrance you should try profumum roma acqua di sale..... I adore it.. I could bath in it... :D

So, so, so underrated (and apparently now discontinued?).
It’s back at Ulta as part of his resort collection. I haven’t compared it yet to the original but pretty excited it’s back in some form.

No Oud? No-Good.
Sel MArin has NO longevity whatsoever- TF PB's generally have huge longevity.
But ofc Robes would like something like this xD
TF is 1 of the most overrated houses ever for me; will never understand the crazy love for them yet Oud Wood smells like mothballs to me, plus all his other scents are just so, disappointing. Not a patch on Bodeacia. But, that's what makes variety I guess =)
not a big fan of aquatic notes. to my nose it always smell like fishy and eggy.
Smelling it feels detoxifying
