Hello! I've been trying to set up a Minecraft server with mods using ZeroTier so that I can play with my friends. I encountered an issue where my friends are unable to join the server. They keep getting the "connection timed out, no further information" error, even when I tried setting up a vanilla server without any mods. I can connect with the pc that I set up the server. It's strange because they were able to connect to my ZeroTier network and used the same link that I used to join the Minecraft server. Have you faced a similar problem and or found a solution? I would appreciate any assistance you can provide!

It's a different message than when we tried to get the server to work with different methods so we think we're onto something but we seem not to be there yet. Do you know of any reason this could be happening?

@@Rosa-xg8tb another thing is that zero tier indeed asks for access through the firewall if some clicked cancel on accident that could be the issue. You could try to reinstall zero tier and see if you get the popup then.

I don't know of any special firewalls I could've downloaded or anything else. I'm currently do a clean install after uninstalling everything from zerotier and seeing if that works since I had zerotier issues in the past. If this still happens I'll let you know but I've tried most online guides I found on the issue. Also I was getting the node ID unknown error so I don't know what is at fault at this point

@@r11b22 i have bedrock server running and try to connect with the port 19132 dont work the default port for bedrock is 19132 and bedrock dont automatically selects the port so thats the issue are u telling to put "24" in the port box if yes please reply sorry that i replyed late i was busy with school

Yes I'm Dutch You don't need to change the default port. I try to explain things best I can but sometime poeple that use something a lot forget that straightforward things aren't straightforward for people who don't use it a lot. I answered all your questions in your other comment.
@@alien6747 the server uses the CPU and ram of your pc to run itself so from the moment you close down your pc the CPU stops working and the server cant do anything anymore. if you would want it to be 24/7 you could try and turn of all screens and turn on power saving mode when you are done using it. but then it would still consume electricity
maybe do an updated tutorial from 2 different computers, i feel like you've been skipping some steps my understanding: both need zerotier free one creates a network the other joins server.propperties has no ip specified, but how about port number ?? what do i put as ip ?? what does my friend put as ip
no. this is only for playing with friends if you want to have a server that anyone can play on then you will need to port forward. except for if you let everyone join your zero tier network. but that is a bit tedious to do for all the player that want to play

Zero tier will be more like a Common access point. The server will still run on your pc. The IP will be from Zero tier

@@BlackBullet0 you will connect to the zero tier server. But they have a lot of different locations so ping shouldn't be that big of a problem.

This is of course a very vague error so I will need some more info. Do you have any experience using the command line (assuming u are on Windows)

It could also be that you have a strange firewall or something that blocked zero tier
can you put the ip in if you want and can it be anything?
Then you wil need to check your name in the joined ip's and use that one

try changing the ip in the server.config to the zero tier ip
