@@StitchedTogetherPictures Umm Andy there’s A Leprechaun vs Candyman Crossover Movie That Almost Happened and No I am Not Joking Seriously Look it up I ran into it on the internet
You know what's the funny part about this movie? They actually got the Leprechaun right... Like no joke, as a guy who studies the Occult and Supernatural (even conjured spirits like Angels, Demons, and Gods), Leprechauns and Fairies are not kid friendly. Leprechauns straight up kill or abduct you, because you either followed the end of the rainbow and want their gold or you just happen to take a little stroll through the Irish woods or somewhere in Mobile Alabama. They do use magic and such, mainly to drive you nuts and get you lost in the woods Blaire witch style! Fairies on the other hand, they pretty much curse you just because you disturb their home. In short, stay out of the fucking woods! Happy Late St. Patrick's Day, m'lads!
I'm so glad you reviewed this one. Just like you said, this was one of my introductions to horror and sits right beside Chucky, Jason, and Freddy. Honestly? This one was probably even before Jason or Freddy. Maniac Cop is another one I remember vividly from back in the 90's. Keep it up! You're videos are my go-to.
St Patty's day is important to me because it was my Mom's birthday, the leprechaun franchise alway had a place in my heart, especially the corny puns. Thanks again Andy's for the awesome content! Happy belated st. Patty's Day!
Man, I still remember the time you were traumatized by the 2014 remake. Glad you're reviewing the original movie. I hope you do more like "Boots to Pre-Reboots" or something.

As much as I adore 'Leprechaun 2' and it's the only one I need in the franchise, I still do like this one too--Warwick Davis, Chubby from 'Teen Wolf', and Walter from 'Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead';) That requel completely blew it without Warwick as far as I'm concerned... And speaking of 'MAC and Me', Good Andy had better be coming at me with a review of it;)
Always an amazing review! I first saw this when I was ten, always thought Ozzie was Francis who lost all his money as payback for stealing peewees bike. Disgraced he had to change his name lol
Thank you Andy and happy St. Patrick’s day. I remember watching your video on the reboot of Leprechaun. And interesting on how he became Wicket because of his grandma fun fact.
I’ll always have a soft spot for this film. In 8th grade, I rented it to watch the first night I spent home alone and was laughing about it on the phone after viewing. Then my cat pushed open my bedroom door but because a chair was blocking her from my sight, I had a knee-jerk reaction and screamed, “Aaaahh! It’s the leprechaun!” Decades later, the friends I was on the phone with still make fun of me for that.
Top of the morning to ye, Andys! I went to a midnight screening of this absolutely SLOSHED on Guiness only last week - best way to watch it, btw. I feel like this movie really does deserve cult status and maybe even more respect. It has an unconventional monster, pretty good effects and gore, creative kills, decent balance between comedy and scares, and all the surprisingly likeable (despite being sorta one dimensional) protags live! Tis a fine thing indeed.
I was showing all the Chucky movies to my girlfriend (she loved it, even though she's not a horror person), so a fkn OG leprechaun review hits the sweet spot so damn hard

Funny thing, I think your Leprechaun: Origins was the first review I saw you made, and was instantly hooked with your comedy and style in reviewing horror films and reboots. Oh by the way this might be an interesting Boot To Reboots episode, but I discovered that there is a 2021 Japanese Remake of the 1997 classic film CUBE. I have such fond memories of this movie. My mom was a big horror fan and was so excited for this movie that the manager at the movie store we used gave her the poster for free because they didn't have any to sell for some reason. It was far from my introduction to horror, but it was up there and probably more palatable for a young child than other horror movies we watched together.

Couldn't have made a better choice for the timing! My favorite reviewer doing one of my favorite movies? Gotta love it. There's something about the movie that is so cliche and absolutely formulaic but at the same time Warwick Davis brings an identity to what certainly could have been a much worse movie that puts it on par with the greats. You can tell he has a blast with the character and it really is infectious. Jennifer Aniston being opposite Warwick Davis in retrospect is also delightful and there's a certain level of enjoyment watching the performance from the lens of understanding she did -not- look at this movie fondly afterwards.

I feel the same way with the original 2 Wishmaster films, which I honestly prefer more due to Andrew Divoff's performance as The Djinn. his performance and Keith David as Spawn is where my demonic voice originally came from. honestly, I wouldn't mind a proper modern 3rd sequel to Wishmatser as long as A) they bring back Andrew Divoff to play the role which he's still interested in, B) they hire Astron 6 to do the practical/make-up/gore effects, and C) if A24 Films releases it in theaters. that way, we can wash the bad taste of 3 & 4 out of our mouths. funny enough, there was a fan made trailer that was posted many years ago of Leprechaun Vs Wishmaster. if you ever get the chance Andy, please do a review of the original Wishmaster. one of the most under rated cult classics from the 90's, and one of my personal favorite horror films. ^-^

Or, maybe the Fact that Warwick Davis doesn't play Cricket, despite being Christened Wicket is worthy of note.
Andy, I don't know whether it's due to your love of the film or your continous improvement of your craft but the jokes here were some of the best yet!
ozzie is such a sweetheart. he deserves his own movie
This is such an underrated channel. I enjoy all the reviews you do andy! When ya gonna do maniac cop?
This is such a goofy movie and I love it. Great video Andy and hope you're doing well! ❤️

I was so excited seeing this. The movie is goofy, but so iconic.

@@StitchedTogetherPictures Keep up the amazing work. 🦖
It's 6am and the part where it shows Ronald mcdonald and it days "Jennifer aniston?" I lost it and laughed so hard. I had to rewind about 5 mins because I missed that. Great way to start my Monday
Daddy needed this
Not a _great_ film, but a guilty pleasure. Did make me want there to be a slasher film about the Easter Bunny at one point.
I’m sure there is one. It feels like every holiday has a horror movie.
@@StitchedTogetherPictures sure does!!
I hated the movie Leprechaun. I almost wasn't going to watch this, but Andy is so good at what he does, it made me really enjoy this movie. I still won't watch Leprechaun, but Andy, keep doing what you're doing. Nailin' it.
