Hey, as long as torrenting and Kim/KissCartoon are around (and there are fans on Tumblr still talking about the show in some capacity), Time Squad isn't completely gone. It's pretty much become the definition of a cult classic, in that it didn't get any mainstream popularity when it premiered (most critics thought the show was okay, but a lot of viewers at that time were more into Sheep in the Big City, Samurai Jack, Whatever Happened to Robot Jones [before the voice change], Codename Kids Next Door, and maybe Grim and Evil/Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy), but the minute it got canceled, the more ardent fans did their part to keep the show alive.
Besides KND, Every Show That Premeired Under CCF Becames Forgotten, Obscure, & Almost Lost! ▪Sheep in the Big City (2000) ▪Whatever Happend to Robot Jones? (2000) ▪Time Squad (2001) ▪Grim & Evil (2001) ▪Evil Con Carne Season 2 (2003) WHAT HAPPUN!?
It really all those shows had dozens of millions of viewers. CCF was a HUGE success. It had more views then toonami, and DBZ had Super Bowl numbers. 70+ million viewers and CCF was above that.
actually, believe it or not, the reason time squad barely gets attention from CN is because of well, a certain episode the episode in particular made fun of the still-at-the-time-of-production president of the USA, george bush, and well, all the ridiculous and bad things that he was being called out for. (at least that's what i remember for the most part) and i guess to CN that was a huge no-no and the show fell into a cancellation slot. though, i also heard that they are still up for a reboot, but it really saddens me that time squad's obscurity is pretty high
I could see it getting a modern reboot but given the satiracal nature of history in light of a lot of new discoveries and interpretations of historical figures (particularly in the US), it'd be a lot harder to make it sit well without people questioning everything. LIke Thomas Edison didn't invent the lightbulb, he patented it and ironically his contributions actually intended to LIMIT the evolution of electricity's usage because he wanted to monopolize it all. Very hard to paint him as an honest and intelligent man when he only used his wealth for control (a lot like Elon Musk is doing today). So at best it could be an edutainment video or focus on non-controversial figures or even be a chance to leave interpretation to the audience (like the Edgar Allen Poe episode that had a real depressing ending despite the fact that they succeeded). All saying it'd be great to see it again, but I dont' think any major publisher wants to touch it with a 20 foot pole.
I used to love watching time squad a lot aww man i wished they could have done a 3rd season with 13 episodes and these a the episodes i would have to see 1 stan Lee and Steven Spielberg 2 Henry hill and naoko takeuchi 3 tim burton and roy Disney 4 George Lucas and james Cameron 5 jk Rowling and Stephen king 6 George Bush sr and William Wallace 7 adam west and wes craven 8 hans Christian andresen and the grim brother's 9 john dillinger and dr Seuss 10 bonnie and clyde and john carpenter 11 bill Clinton and captain Edward Smith 12 neil Armstrong and Christopher nolan 13 sam raimi and jessie james

@@fridaynightnicktoons6885 It's just CN deciding not to make them easily accessible
Grim and Evil turned into The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, which definitely wasn't forgotten.
Do you know why so many shows get warped out of my brain as I grow up? Forgot a crap ton of these.

If only Time squad was still around.
