Thank Christ a video that puts the notation on screen. All these other worthless channels posting combos with 0 notation making me take extra time to figure out which buttons they're using in the combos. I'm fairly new to Tekken and Drag so it's a real chore when you're not familiar with all his moves.
If you're new to the game you should be focusing on learning the moves of the character and the fundamentals of the game not learning crazy combos most videos that don't show notation are optimized and if you are brand new to tekken you really should not be trying to learn super optimazed wall carry rage art heat dash combos especially if you literally don't even know your own moves. Glad a newer players like you found RyzingSol tho I think its the perfect channel for beginner to intermediate players to learn different characters and just start playing the game.
A small tip, each button represents a limb 1 is left hand, 2 is right hand, 3 is left foot, 4 is right foot. You *might* be able to guess some of the moves. Obviously having all the notations helps immensely but that rule of thumb will also help you identify other enemies moves to have an easier time labbing
@@mezaoh3140 I'm not brand new. I played a few hundred hours of Tekken 7 in 2019-2020. Each character has like 150 moves it's just nice when they put notation on the combos.
@@junkyryan138 even for more advanced players why would you ever not want notation? Even if they don't want to lay it over the screen they could at least put the notation in the description. Why would I want to follow lazy content creators that don't do the bare minimum? Every other series notates their combos in the videos.
@@saiter6010 you have to do a running 4 (circle on pad) when your opponent's back is planted on a wall and sliding down. A quick way to get the feel of it in practice is choose to reset at the wall, use down forward 2 to launch them up onto the wall, and then do the running 4 as they are sliding down. You can then follow up with down + 3, 2, 1+2 if the opponent is still backplanted high enough on the wall.
I'm new to tekken and I don't care THAT much about optimized combos, but when I saw that dragunov wall kick grab animation I felt obligated to learn how to do that more often, it's the coolest shit ever. I'm dropping a lot of combos bacause of this but when I finally hit the kick I feel like it was all worth it.
For first wall carry combo, the 4, 1 after 1 seems to be character dependent. An alternative I've found that works is using F+4, 4 instead of 4, 1. You can do the rest of the combo from there.
I was just practising these combos when I noticed something. Some of the combos end with 2 and others end with 1+2. 1+2 seems to deal 1 more damage in all of these cases. is there a reason to end combos with 2 only? I'm talking about the combo's with a df input at the end like the combos at 0:150:30 and 1:28 for example
There's also 68 damage combo from DB3 without Heat, but it requires to cancel sneak: DB3 > QCF3+4 > 4, 4 > DF1, 4 > UP x Neutral (crouch cancel) > 3, 1 into sneak 1+2 Instead of QCF3+4 you can use DF3+4 for 67 damage
They did change some of dragunov's timing in the previous patch notes. I'm also having trouble linking the jab into 4,1 so as of now i'm on the side of this combo no longer works.
For your non-heat combos you can use the same heat combo (cancel crouch dash after wc 1 4 then 32df2) into df3+4 then b3. It gives the most damage and kinda unifies all the combos into one
His combos are hard to learn, but if you master them, you'll understand why Dragunov is broken and you'll certainly kick butts with him. I certainly am learning too.
Thx for the video, really helpful. But the df2 wall carry combo at 2:04 doesn't seem to work on some characters such as Devil Jin and Reina, the 4,1 just doesn't hit them or require insane execution?
Could be a lost combo because of patch 1.05. Maybe you didn’t do it right, but if you did it’s a lost combo. The video is from 5 months ago so I think this is where dragunov was still OP asf. The combo’s will probably do less damage
Beautiful my man ryzing sol helped me in tekken 7 now will help me in tekken 8 my go to combo guide whenever i need one of any character specially sergi love u and god bless and thank u for making our lives easy ❤ my u help us more in Tekken 8
I am very new to tekken(this is my first tekken ever), so far im really having fun with dragunov with some pretty basic combos but thats fine, what is like a basic strategy i should go for? Thanks in advance, im pretty familiar with notations so anybody who wants to help me can feel free to use it.
Since this is a comment on a combo video, I guess I should say to not get too crazy trying to launch people because you want to score that big damage. Drag's most common launchers are kind of easy to block and are punishable. Dragunov works best on pressuring a standing opponent, forcing them to guess a lot and damaging them little by little.
I'm not even such a high level player myself, but I can offer you some advice as a Dragunov main since Tekken 6. First off, you should keep in mind his jab (1) is key to your offense, so as a rule of thumb for now (you can improve on this concept later with practice and noticing what works and what doesn't): everything you think of doing on attack, jab first. From personal experience, what I can say works best after you jab: Jab, df+1 (you can keep your offense with another jab after the df+1) Jab, d+2 Jab, any command throw (f+1+4, f+2+3 or uf+1+2) Jab, b+4,2,1, jab, b+4,2,1, jab, and so on (super cheesy, the opponent can duck the last hit from b+4,2,1 but trust me, few people know that) Also, spam d+2 like crazy. Try learning crouch cancelling so you can chain d+2 after d+2 and mix it up with something like a WS4 after the d+2 just so you don't get too predictable. Three of his new moves are crazy good, use them to keep pressuring: db+3+4 (don't get discouraged about it being super unsafe on Block, few to none people even know how to block it, even fewer how to properly punish); qcf+4 (a lot of plus frames); and FC df+1,4 (another good low) You should also consider training your instant running inputs and then move to the next level, which is knowing when and how to use iWR2, another very important move. Hope this helps.
How do I get the QCF 3+4 after while running 2 no matter what I do I’m only getting a forward 3 input even tho command display shows me doing the qcf motion
Adding to this, how come mine does 44 damage when the video shows 50?@@StragglyBillie Edit: Ah, blue spark last two forward inputs +2 done within 8 frames, basically, as fast as you can

Hey nice video it helped me a bunch as a new fg player and new on arcade stick. I am having issues tho with the first wall carry, I cant seem to get 41 to connect after the 1, what gives?
To anyone who has this issue, it seems to be a character dependent combo. I can execute this easy against Xiaoyu, so there must be some character hitboxes at play. An alternative I've found is instead of doing 41 after the 1, replace 1 with F+4, 4. You can do the rest of the combo easy from there.
On the first wall carry combo I keep dropping the 3,1 part either i miss completly or only land the 3 is there anything i can do to land both those hits?

So glad that max damage combos didn't require crouch cancel😂
max damage does require cancels from what I’ve seen
If you learned it in tekken 7 you’ll be better off for wall carry combos which seems to be better because of the wr 4 bound at wall
You're better off learning them so you can have a lot of damage at the wall
