Polo Vivo is nice i once did 700 kilos driving 160 to 180 and when I got to the destination I was a true polo driver the light was on and I had to say put R50 93 dah
I drive a 2019 Polo TSi DSG and on recent trip to Gariep Dam and back to CT I got 17.7 km / l always keeping at speed limit. Going through towns at 60 etc. But your figures r truly impressive. I don't have cruise control. I had two 1.6 Polos before but never got close to your figures, so it is inspiring.
Natural aspiration for the fucking win. Such an underrated engine this 1600. It's so light on fuel. If you really stretched it I bet you could get 1000km on a tank with aircon.
@@AnythingEverythingReviewsI was about to ask if you got the same results on your way back. There's a notion at that when we travel from Mpumalanga to Kzn Newcastle it's down wards but when we go travel to Mp it's Upwards hence we spend more on fuel when we travel to Mpumalanga😂😂😂but today I have realized that my family members are too ambitious on the throttle😂😂😂😂. Thank you BUTI
@sandisomazibuko86 😅 they're just too ambitious, because if you check on the video for the return trip, I did highlight the issue of driving up, but it didn't make much of a difference. Still made it with 1 tank both trips.
This video you have done has educated a whole lot of South Africans about fuel efficiency and sticking to the script. SIYABONGA MFOWETHU INKOSI IKUBUSISE.
Thanks bhuti for such a video . Cause I been wondering how far I can go with a Polo 1.4 sedan comfortline 2020. Which means it can do much better. Since you drive 1.6i . Volkswagen should credit your video. You did what they supposed to advertise & show customers what a polo can do. For fuel consumption. Thanks sir for your time and making this video. Glad that u even travel safe to your destination.
Thank you so much for this informative content, my brother 🙏 And to add on that, i personally prefer using Shell petrol and it always gives me more range compared to other petrol brands, CLP/CLS 👌
This video taught me the art of patience. I am one impatient person who drives long distance, and i am talking about the longest distance from Pretoria to Lephalale and Pta to Phalaborwa and Sekhukhune. 800kms? I would die😢
That's good to hear 😊. Honestly even when one drives fast, you'll find that at best you've just saved about 20-30min and for a long drive that's not much. Thanks for watching
True habe an highline 2020-2021 lowest reading was 4.4l/100km my speed was between 80 and 100 revs where capped at 2 and was doing bloem tp cape town on 1 full tank of gas

@gerharderasmus2505 I believe that with a 1.4, one would even achieve better fuel consumption, that engine is frugal even in urban driving. Thanks for watching😊
If i can ask i want to buy this polo but i want to see how far the car will go fully packed driving 140kmh uphill roads with a very busy highway with overtaking. But i know that it is alot to ask but i really want to know because i want a car that is feul efficient for my driving habits 😅 i hope its not too much to ask😬😓
🤣 140kmh fully packed...I doubt you'll even get 500km. When I drive alone with some spirited driving (160kmh there about) the range estimates around 550km.
@@AnythingEverythingReviews 😂😂 thanks brother the reason I asked is because my parents drives the 2015 VW polo Vivo blueline and it has a claimed range of 833km on a single tank and when that car is completely packed driving alot of uphills with 3 passengers driving 140kmh on a busy highway in combined city and highway driving the car's feul light comes on at 827km than my parents can drive to just a little under 850km. And unfortunately the blueline you don't get alot of them and I thought that maybe the normal polo Highline will do the same feul range under the same conditions but I think I should get the TDI or the TSI 😂😅
Use the control arrows on the right of your steering wheel. The kilometers traveled should be before the range kilometers, when toggling through the display.
URGENT! ‼️ Thinking of getting one of these or a 1.2 TSI 2017. What’s the city fuel consumption like because I’m thinking of going for the TSI for the better fuel economy. Also like my aircon lol
City driving, you're looking at around 15km/L ~ 6.6L/100kmI never go higher than that with city driving..then with aircon on, say you'll be at higher 7s.
Awesome mann I owned the same car and to be honest I think it could even go further. I would average 700km driving over 130kmh(I didn’t say it)😅🫢 It’s extremely efficient but so high risk I couldn’t deal Once I was jacked of the car I upgraded to ST fiesta 😅now I’m happy 🥹faster but decent fuel consumption
Highly risky, I have to agree. I'm also looking into changing it soon... You are right that it can go further, I think it's possible to get 900km as I've estimated in my return trip. Don't worry your 130kmh secret is safe🤣
Wow massive for 1.6 for a polo vivo 1.6, those clp/clp engine are really strong.
Who knew a full tank would last that far... Well done video!
Fuel efficient driving + highways are a great combination for good mileage
I know every kilo of the road u traveled. Keeping to speed limit is key. Our roads are indeed beautiful
I honestly honestly respect this guys for driving 120. Could honestly NEVER be me, i dont have the patience for it 😅
Finally, someone who understands the pain😅.
Same here😂 I’d be doing 160 to 200 whenever possible
Please don't reveal too much 😂😂😂

I loved how raw and simple the video was, very honest to its title yet very informative and insoluble, the music helped easing things in

17.7km/l is still great though...and considering that's from a bigger car. 👌🏽

I agree because on the return trip, I still had 200 km to go, I believe one can get 1000km easily from 1 tank

Thank you for sharing your trip with us👌🙏🏽
Its a pleasure. Thank you for watching 🙂
For a 1.6L, this Highline is incredibly fuel efficient! I thoroughly enjoyed this video! Well done. Planning to buy same end Feb.
You won't regret it. This is quite a powerful engine for the segment very robust. I'm approaching 160 000km problem free.
@@AnythingEverythingReviews when I saw the kilos I was even more shocked, one wouldn't expect this level of fuel efficiency.

CLP/CLS 👌
That's what I have noticed as well. I tend to get better mileage with Shell.
That is a great video ❤
I salute the 1.6 engine all day everyday. Very strong engine, I actually prefer it over the 1.4! Great video bruv 👏🏾

How does the city driving fuel consumption compare?

@@AnythingEverythingReviews that’s fantastic

@gerharderasmus2505 I believe that with a 1.4, one would even achieve better fuel consumption, that engine is frugal even in urban driving. Thanks for watching😊
I think it’s a 55 litre tank including airlock 😊
Correct, I didn't want to get to the intricacies and cause confusion. I worked with what is stated as standard. Thank you for watching 😊
Would you recommend using cruise control or not to save up fuel as you did ?
I highly recommend using cruise control for fuel efficiency
Try to refuel at Sasol and do a long trip. I want see something 😂

Use the control arrows on the right of your steering wheel. The kilometers traveled should be before the range kilometers, when toggling through the display.
So which petrol to use on a polo vivo 1.6 high line ??
93 or 95 unleaded...in this case I used 95
So Aircon uses fuel?
Technically, it doesn't use fuel, but when the aircon is on, the engine works a bit more, thus affecting the fuel consumption

So basically when they say do 120km/h they are not talking about safety they are helping us to save fuel 😂😂😂😂😂
@sandisomazibuko86 🤣🤣 yes you get to save fuel as well...its a win win
If you drop your speed to 110 u will easily get more
