I think Labyrinthine and Ancestry are criminally underrated. I fell in love with Labyrinthine after hearing its soothing melody in the main menu, and I thought Ancestry was spot-on for the new deep dark biome.
Fun memories of hearing Ancestry, stressing out in the Ancient City, and then just seeing a freaking Wandering Trader walking around like a lunatic, as if he *wanted* to summon a warden.
"Both, both are good" If C418 does not want to create for MC under new rules and managment, I don't know is there are many video game music composers as good as Lena to fill his place. I knew her style would fit MC looking at her work on Celeste, but some new tracks exceeded all my expectations.

I agree, firebugs also fits in with the new biome perfectly, the music sounds mysterious, but in a peaceful way. It makes you want to explore in a biome. The instruments she used are perfect. They sound like kore old instruments you would see tribes using.

My parents split almost a year ago and "Aerie" really helped me remember what it was like back then, so calm and peaceful, even "wonderful", one could say. You don't truly know what you have until you have lost it. Aerie, This song could, and will, bring back any wonderful memories someone has in their past life. These songs tell a story, and Aerie is mostly nostalgic, sorrowful, and finally, at the end of the song you can clearly hear Acceptance. The song "Other Side", is a great depiction of moving on from any traumatic experiences such as a loved one passing or a divorce. Other side, while being upbeat, the beginning of the song clearly shouts "I remember the good times but I'm ready to move on to better ones, Acceptance and moving forward.
Now don’t get me wrong, C418 was an excellent composer of Minecraft’s soundtrack and the likes of Sweden, Mice on Venus and Haggstorm are all amazing, but they give us nostalgia of older minecraft and Lena Raine is helping with that to because adding in more songs can make us more appreciative of the songs we know so fondly, and that when they come on we will find them more nostalgic and heart-touching because they won’t be that frequent anymore, but all of this still doesn’t take away from the fact that Lena Raine is an amazing musician and the soundtracks and songs she has made for Minecraft shouldn’t be overlooked.

Labyrinthine is such a vibe and it totally adds a mysterious and fantasy feeling to the game, it always plays as I work on my base and it really improves the experience
Aerie really makes me wanna sit on top of a mountain and watch as the sun sets and slowly come back down and enjoy a nice strawberry pie with my friends...
I personally LOVE labyrinthine, it's such a great song, gives of adventurous vibes, I've been playing Minecraft for 7 years now if it ain't longer than that and I really appreciate how the game is still alive and getting updates.
Minecraft feels so familiar but yet so different. Firebugs makes me feel the beautiful, simple and peacefulness, yet sad and sometimes haunting loneliness of what its like to be a character living in the vast minecraft world
Aerie made me actually cry. It somehow managed to bring back the memories of playing Minecraft for the first time. I can remember it so clearly. 1.4 had come out the day after I bought it, I loaded it up, made a creative world and began to learn how to play the game. It was simple, fun, and beautiful. I am amazed with what Minecraft has evolved into today, and the community and unity it has created around the world.
Aerie has a special spot in my heart. It's so beautiful and it was the song that played when Philza finished Technos memorial. The song always reminds me of him...
Glad I looked this up. I had music in my game turned off for years cause Im usually watching youtube on the side. I was absolutley floored the first time I heard Labyrinthine play in-game!
i like ancestry a lot, i remember i went to the deep dark for the first time and heard that song and i was immediately on edge (and then i proceeded to immediately summon the warden and die)
What I really like about the soundtrack, specifically for Firebugs and Labyrinthine, is that Lena did a risky move by adding drums, but it turned out really well. Of course, the other songs are still great. Again, such an incredible soundtrack!
Aerie really reminds me of a soundtrack from another unrelated game that I played years ago and the franchise of which I am no longer attached to, but that music played during tender/emotional parts during the "story" and so Aerie almost brings me to tears when I hear the high points or especially the saxophone-sounding parts. All in all, a stellar piece.
These songs are the only thing I have left of a world in version 1.19, it was my first world with my friends, they and I played a lot, and we made a lot of progress, but one friend never played, I played with another, but a bad mod and I couldn't do anything, I had to uninstall my minecraft with my worlds that I listen to these songs they remind me of those moments I don't know if it is better to remember the past or see the future 😔every time I listen to the song it gives me a feeling of those happy moments because they no longer exist. Thanks for collecting the songs.
Just started playing minecraft after a long time of not touching it. I was getting sick of how small the updates were back then and feeling like ive done the game to death. Think its been 5 or more years since i played. Thought if i left it for long enough, when i’d come back to it it’d feel like a whole new game with all the updates stacking onto eachother for one big change. Started playing the new minecraft again; playing with my friend through hamachi LAN multiplayer. Its insane. These new tracks completely surprised me too. I instantly knew these were going to be classics in the future. Exploring the new giant and endlessly sprawling caves has been a treat. I hope minecraft continues to grow forevermore from this point too. I wonder after a couple of year from now how much the game will grow even more. From someone who played the game really early on, its crazy how it feels like im playing it for the first time again but also feel like im coming back home. Makes me feel like crying.
I remember listening to "Ancestry" for the first time when I accidentally spawned a Warden in the first ancient city I found. So good, fits very well with the quiet, but dangerous atmosphere of the deep dark
Firebugs: Mangrove swamp is the warm, moist, dense and mysterious jungle. No one have ever entered this jungle and beware, danger are lurk in everywhere while you exploring. Aerie: No, mangrove swamp is the romantic and peaceful forest. You can rest at here and chill with beautiful scenery and melody music
i opened the block game & was just sitting in the menu page vibing hard to firebugs. reminds me of those old ps2 soft jungle mixes or chrono triggers OST. so fire. rest of the new music is hella fire too.
Ah you can never replace a masterpiece. Days of playing Minecraft with the boys. Now it's gone. Thank you Minecraft for all these amazing memories. Eventually it will all just be another daze full memory leaving you to wonder. Where has all the time gone?
I'm always playing FPS games or arcade games so the music's usually sporadic and exciting sounding, but I forget how beautiful and simple the Minecraft soundtrack is. It never fails to relax me. The new artist additions fit in just right with the adventurous aesthetic and simplistic, fantastical nature of the game.
I played Minecraft yesterday since a while and the first song I heard was “aerie” and it made me really emotional and nostalgic. Like this game has been around for a long time and we just keep on coming back to it. It’s just the best game ever created in my opinion. Everyone knows Minecraft.
was wondering why my anxiety spiked during ancestry until i remembered my encounter with the warden. didn't pay attention to the music at the time but i remember it now
5:14 First time I heard this I was in awe, I loved it instantly, it's funny because I only started playing the game again because of a person, I was in love with that person and I wanted to spend all the time with him. This song brought me comfort, this song brought me dreams of being in his arms. Everytime I heard this song while talking to him till the sun came up was the best feeling ever. It was all spoiled after some time, when I learnt that he just wanted to play around with my feelings for his personal enjoyment. Now I listen to this with sadness and melancholy, I listen to this and I remember how happy I was during those 2 week, I was literally the happiest dude on the planet. I still love this song, and today I wanted to search it, so I could remember. Just a small vent, I felt like it
My main base in minecraft rn is right by the sea in a birch forest. If I could just sit and stare at the ocean and listen to this music without fear of mobs of whatever, I would. Thankfully, peaceful mode exists
That new music disk is really interesting. We can hear amethyst, candles and drinking of potions (?) and we can find all that stuff in the ancient city! Lore? Sounds good tho
c418 is of course amazing, showstopping, incredible, brilliant, etc. but im really happy to see (or ig hear) some more of lena's work! to say this in a simpler way, *c418 walked and owned that walk so that lena raine could run* (not trying to say one is better than the other tho. i love both and u may prefer one over the other n that's chill, but we can all agree both are extremely talented!)
I can't believe that this music is so good that it overcomes that massively powerful nostalgia we all seem to feel for c418's music to be able to sit along side it with all of our support. I really like the direction that minecraft is going in. It gives me hope for halo.
Minecraft music is painful to listen to, I don't play the game a lot and don't have nostalgia for it but I like the music. It causes an existential crisis but it gets tiring to have existential crisis when you're going through a slow decay of a will to live. I can't really describe it all but it's a comforting pain that sometimes I can't handle to listen to and chose something numbing to distract myself with. I can't really describe but it's almost more of a physical pain but you only really can think of one way out and having realizations about nothingness or how short life is or even shorter it might be just sucks ass.

But I understand the comparison, C418 has been here forever pretty much
@@Arc77crA Yeah I changed my opinion about it. It's really not as strange and magical as C418's music was.
Firebugs makes me feel the beautiful, simple and peacefulness, yet sad and sometimes haunting loneliness of what its like to be a character living in the vast minecraft world
Why does no one talk about labyrinthine it sound amazing especially at 12:28
It honestly sounds like it belongs in an entirely different game. Honestly gives off some donkey Kong country vibes in my opinion
@@zcarp8642 oh
love it it reminds me of minecraft its my favourite one btw
@@zcarp8642 THATS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS THINKING SINCE DK IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE GAMES 🤣🤣
OH MY GOD this is my favourite of all of them.
I love labyrinthine it’s so chilling and some actions in this song
Bro why does Minecraft music have to be so good like dannnggg
So good

Yeah
So.. peaceful-
Ew an edit
everyone saying about firebugs and Aerie but "Labyrinth" is good too
this game has evolved into something 2012 me couldn't have ever imagined.
From 2009*
This soundtrack fits perfectly with the new update
Aerie made me actually cry. It somehow managed to bring back the memories of playing Minecraft for the first time. I can remember it so clearly. 1.4 had come out the day after I bought it, I loaded it up, made a creative world and began to learn how to play the game. It was simple, fun, and beautiful. I am amazed with what Minecraft has evolved into today, and the community and unity it has created around the world.
Aerie has a special spot in my heart. It's so beautiful and it was the song that played when Philza finished Technos memorial. The song always reminds me of him...
Labirynthine makes me happy ☺️
Glad I looked this up. I had music in my game turned off for years cause Im usually watching youtube on the side. I was absolutley floored the first time I heard Labyrinthine play in-game!
i like ancestry a lot, i remember i went to the deep dark for the first time and heard that song and i was immediately on edge (and then i proceeded to immediately summon the warden and die)
These new songs are legitimately so good
"Aerie" is making me absolutely speechless... Very touching and beautiful writing. Thank you, Lena Raine!
The second half of 'Labyrinthine' is amazing
What I really like about the soundtrack, specifically for Firebugs and Labyrinthine, is that Lena did a risky move by adding drums, but it turned out really well. Of course, the other songs are still great. Again, such an incredible soundtrack!
firebugs really reminds me of the music in pikmin.
That’s exactly what I was thinking lol
If I ever need a composer for a game Lena Reine is a first choice
I've only heard Labyrinthine when exploring the overworld (courtesy of a single swamp in my world), but I've grown to appreciate these as menu tracks.
Firebugs felt perfect to me while I was out exploring the rest of my map, and Aerie finished it off when I finally got home to my dogs and cats.
Aerie hits different when you are chilling in your base about to go to bed
These songs are the only thing I have left of a world in version 1.19, it was my first world with my friends, they and I played a lot, and we made a lot of progress, but one friend never played, I played with another, but a bad mod and I couldn't do anything, I had to uninstall my minecraft with my worlds that I listen to these songs they remind me of those moments I don't know if it is better to remember the past or see the future 😔every time I listen to the song it gives me a feeling of those happy moments because they no longer exist. Thanks for collecting the songs.
Minecraft music is becoming it's own beautiful genre and I am so proud to be a fan of this breathtaking game.
You can hear all of the classic Nintendo games and Studio Ghibli films that Lena draws inspiration from.
I remember listening to "Ancestry" for the first time when I accidentally spawned a Warden in the first ancient city I found.
So good, fits very well with the quiet, but dangerous atmosphere of the deep dark
Thank you Lena Raine for making these songs. This round really inspires me!
Whenever I hear Aerie it feels like I'm lonely and sad but in a good way
Remembering the good times
Well technically, you are lonely in Minecraft
"Aerie" reminds me so much of the Remoria Continent OST from Popolocrois, damn
Aerie is so calm and nostalgic man…
Firebugs: Mangrove swamp is the warm, moist, dense and mysterious jungle. No one have ever entered this jungle and beware, danger are lurk in everywhere while you exploring.
Aerie: No, mangrove swamp is the romantic and peaceful forest. You can rest at here and chill with beautiful scenery and melody music
And labyrthinve just feels like an adventurous exploration in the swamp
i opened the block game & was just sitting in the menu page vibing hard to firebugs. reminds me of those old ps2 soft jungle mixes or chrono triggers OST. so fire. rest of the new music is hella fire too.
Ancestry really makes the deep dark feel like a horror game
I really hope we get some more biome specific music for minecraft, it’d be cool to have the ost change with the biome like in some other games
It already does that to an extent tho, you get different music in and near the ocean, different music in caves, etc

Ancestry is a new level of creepy minecraft vibey music
I played Minecraft yesterday since a while and the first song I heard was “aerie” and it made me really emotional and nostalgic. Like this game has been around for a long time and we just keep on coming back to it. It’s just the best game ever created in my opinion. Everyone knows Minecraft.
Lenas so good at setting the mood in this game with each new update also aerie just sounds so nostalgic
"Aerie" has a nostalgic Earthbound vibe that I just adore
STAN LENA RAINE! Best minecraft musician ever, new nostalgic music!!
It isnt nostalgic if its new
@@JoelGDDSweden excactly, thats why its so magical, because it feels nostalgic but its new so it cant be nostalgic but it still feels like it :)

was wondering why my anxiety spiked during ancestry until i remembered my encounter with the warden. didn't pay attention to the music at the time but i remember it now
Firebugs has no right to be such a banger! Everytime it plays I just stop whatever I'm doing just to vibe with it

First time I heard this I was in awe, I loved it instantly, it's funny because I only started playing the game again because of a person, I was in love with that person and I wanted to spend all the time with him.
Just a small vent, I felt like it
I love how relaxing this is. minecraft is *more* than a game.
Aerie has to be my favorite out of the 4, it just gives the right vibes while I was playing
My main base in minecraft rn is right by the sea in a birch forest.
If I could just sit and stare at the ocean and listen to this music without fear of mobs of whatever, I would. Thankfully, peaceful mode exists
I didn't know there was new music until I played 1.19. Really happy we have more
That new music disk is really interesting. We can hear amethyst, candles and drinking of potions (?) and we can find all that stuff in the ancient city! Lore? Sounds good tho
as much as i love ancestry, making the ancient city my home made me miss the other great songs 😢 definitely matches the vibe of the city though
c418 is of course amazing, showstopping, incredible, brilliant, etc. but im really happy to see (or ig hear) some more of lena's work! to say this in a simpler way,
*c418 walked and owned that walk so that lena raine could run*
(not trying to say one is better than the other tho. i love both and u may prefer one over the other n that's chill, but we can all agree both are extremely talented!)
I can't believe that this music is so good that it overcomes that massively powerful nostalgia we all seem to feel for c418's music to be able to sit along side it with all of our support.
I really like the direction that minecraft is going in. It gives me hope for halo.
Halo is dead dude. Hate to break it to you. Atleast minecraft is still going strong though.
honestly the best time when ur exploring with ur new allay friends and labyrinthine kicks in
but seriously all these new tracks are amazing
Minecraft music is painful to listen to, I don't play the game a lot and don't have nostalgia for it but I like the music. It causes an existential crisis but it gets tiring to have existential crisis when you're going through a slow decay of a will to live. I can't really describe it all but it's a comforting pain that sometimes I can't handle to listen to and chose something numbing to distract myself with. I can't really describe but it's almost more of a physical pain but you only really can think of one way out and having realizations about nothingness or how short life is or even shorter it might be just sucks ass.
You good bro?
🫂
@@ReeseNorton Talked myself outta suicide but now I'm doing fine
