I just got the digital version of this for my birthday. I have a flip table singer from the early 1900’s but it’s too precious to be used and weighs a lot. I had the cast iron one but my grandmother chose to throw it away. My grandmother on my dad’s side sewed everything. I can’t wait to continue the legacy. 💜

My question to you now is would you recommend the Janome, Brother, or the unnamed Amazon brand (with the purple accents from a previous video)? In the video comparing 3 or 4 under $50 you went with the unnamed Amazon over Janome. But your video on the 2 Janome brand machines really seemed like you’d go with those. For me I need small, food for beginners (never sewn in my life), and really just something that I can add lining and such to my crochet projects
Helo. I wanted to ask, can i use this sewing machines to sew a tote bag. I am beginner and really interested in sewing and illustrating but i am clueless of what to do, what materials are good ,fabrics,what tyoe of thread to use and machine's. Please can you share some ideas with me.

On question would you recomend the brother lx3817 or the singer m1000 i was looking at both of these machines and my sewing teacher recommended the singer m1000 but honestly the brother looks better.
what are the differences between the 6-11 stitches? Isn’t that just a straight stitch with different sizes? Can’t I adjust the stitch size on a separate knob?

If you don’t need a buttonhole I’d definitely go with the Janome. That’s really what sets them apart.
