Those comments from Moi are both funny but also educational. I think this is a great method to teach the dos and don'ts for new players, and the old ones too! the knowledge never stops
How to do that - to watch the gameplay in the squad game that way ?
I know this is 5 months late, however, at 7:15 this showcases what the _actual_ role of a marksman/sniper is. The fact one man bogged down an entire squad, not because he had a GPMG/SAW or a fancy RPG and etc; where accuracy by volume is the key. Instead accuracy by precision allowing for ranged visualization of targets from cover and concealment for longer than a GPMG/SAW where the ability to shoot and move with accuracy is greatly increased. This is how you *need* to play marksman. Not some bush-wookie (or sand raider in this case lmao) but the guy who can project force over a greater area of denial in front of the squad and relay positive information while also being prejudicial (not _that_ way) about target acquisition so the rest of the squad can act appropriately to contact.
I can't tell you how many times an effective team-playing marksman has completely made my entire squad have to avoid an entire area that would otherwise be convenient to attack a point or provide fire/logistical support because a marksman was doing their job right where entire football fields of distance had to be traversed with caution because of effective precision rifle fire would meticulously go after our medics LAT/HAT, and SLs and just vanish. Only to show up with his fire team or have mortars raining like steel hail.
Squad looks extremely realistic is some situations. And the explosions are as close to real as possible in game. I love it

I love the eye in the sky type videos, the mod makes it so much better too. I bet if you put effort into making it into more like a documentary type of video where there's some sort of story or objective it would make it even more entertaining. Kind of like karmakuts no man left behind video, have some narrating and some story elements mixed with the camera footage would be sick.

@@MoiDawg yeah that was a amazing video, especially having the multiple point of views.I feel like other than squad ops the one life content of squad isn’t seen a lot or makes appearances on channels of content creators but not often. But they make for some of the best videos as squad it’s self is already immersive the one life events makes team coordination even stronger and people hold there breath under fire and aren’t quick to get into a fight that kills them.
@@MoiDawg perfect, it definitely seems like there's an audience for those type of videos. With the new lighting and shadows update to squad as well as the rangers mod another video like the one you linked would bang. Your editing has improved a lot since then as well so that would definitely help out a ton with the production quality of it. It might help to have the video be surrounded by a certain event like taking a bridge or something like that so its easier for storytelling. Your titling of videos seems to improved a lot from then as well, that would definitely help with the ctr. Keep up the good work and content, you have grown a lot in the past year; if you keep on innovating and improving on your content you'll definitely blow up soon. Love the videos man! ❤
I find that in invasion using vehicles as troop transport and mobile protection is waaaay more key but nobody uses them that way. Would be interesting to see a very cohesive mech inf round of invasion one day
That would involve teamwork in squad. Don’t hold your breath
I wouldn't say _nobody_ uses them that way. If you're running the APCs/IFVs, and the infantry SLs are blowing off your offer, just ask the infantry in local if they'd prefer to get shot at in the logi or ride with you. In my experience, about half of the infantry in a logi will get out, and get in with you.
If the infantry SL isn't allergic to this, however, tell him to convoy behind you and stay in your drive smoke. Tap the smoke on your way in (don't hold in and poop it all out halfway in); then, when you're at whatever the SL's FOB creation mark is, slam brakes, pop a canister smoke, and yell at them on local to get out. Logi will pull up behind, more or less competely obstructed by smoke on your entire path. Then, back up at least 300m and have your gunner suppress every door, window and bush around them with frag/HE/coax while the infantry dig in.
In my experience, I've never been tracked or killed doing this, and I can get at least ⅔ of a squad adjacent to a point without crippling casualties.
@@magonus195 Absolutely. I normally advocate for this strat but like you said some SL's are just allergic to this, along with their infantry. You could be on Al Basrah and infantry would much rather run across the desert to the city than take an armoured ride.

Its a real problem in game, so often valuable resources like that are taken by a squad that just wants to do some niche thing way off to the side. They may get kills but they end up hurting their own team more than helping.
Great video! I feel like there needed to be a large group of veteran players in the leadership roles guiding the gameplay on this battle. Seems like there was a huge lack of coordination and communication. So many enemies within 10 meters of people not getting seen or called out. Kinda strange. I mean it happens, war is chaos i get it. But it seems like a single insurgent was able to kill so many rangers from so close.
I've been on the PF MEE server a fair bit since it went up and it seems like that server tends to get a LOT of new players that the regular server doesn't. No call outs, no marks, no comms etc. Idk if it's the lack of more complex logistics / vehicles, the YTbers coverage, or the tacticool SF factions that are enticing but this has been somewhat normal.
this has been my experience with all servers, tbh. its super rare to get more than 2-3 people on a squad that udnerstand how to secure a permimeter and call out contacts. its frustrating af haha
I agree, these guys are just playing another CoD style game. This game mode needs to be played a lot more tactical. I love it but get GLID Gaming on this. They could give you that tactical experience

Seeing that 50 work so effortlessly makes me believe they don’t exist. The amount of times my 50 jammed or idiots placed the wrong barrel which caused it not to fully charge to the rear was pretty usual. We had to start carrying 249’s just to be able to have something to shoot back with 😅.

I just realized this but American's literally train for fun to attack and defend in mock battles simulating actual warfare. As a American I just think it's crazy how we are so very prepared to take on anything that comes our way if real war breaks out. GAMERS UNITE!

Man the MEE mod looks so cool but I've heard the game quality is poor due to lack of coordination and communication, and this video shows this. Very little command comms and several strategic blunders. Do you guys know any servers/communities that run MEE and are more organised?
In my opinion, the mod itself is the reason that happens. You can't place markers on the map so you lost squad and team cohesion. People don't know where others are moving to or where enemy might be, so it ends up in a jumbled blob a lot of the time. Still really fun but far, far less coordination.
I've been home sick the last 2 days binge-watching these Squadcasts. Good job! Makes me want to buy a PC again.

Super fobbing last point at outer suburbs makes this invasion so hard, our team had excess of 500-600 tickets to cap last point and it was virtually impossible to get the last point. We had 30 tickets at the point of where my game crashed so I presume we lost

I've played a metric ton of Arma II and recently got back into Arma III, this game looks tons of fun too and I've binged a lot lately, just seen short clips previously! This and Hell Let Loose.
It's just a bit sad that both of those games are so confined and small in scale, and a slightly less realistic; I like planning using maps and orienting properly using compass, and one of the most fun thing I can have is call in accurate mortar/artillery from the front or as a recon.
But I get how many people feel the need for arcade mechanics to have fun, like respawns and little deadtime between firefights.
The thing is, during a long operation and without respawns, you actually get adrenaline when it gets rough, while you will never get it in these kinds of games, or very rarely

The US team took a long time before using smokes to cover their leaps and bounds which is extremely effective in concealing movement over distances
I think it'd be nice if Squad more thoroughly embraced the asymmetric warfare concept. Give rangers more health/armor/stamina/aim stability, but give insurgents way more tickets. A game mode like invasion, but on steroids.

What I understood from this match that after loosing an objective Insurgency team always has to send somebody to search for enemy abandoned FOBs. They could effortlessly bleed the attackers for 60 tickets!

Map looks nice. Just change the lightning and filter a bit so there is a little bit more color in it and the green leaves are green and not brownish.
