Geophysics: Seismic - AVO (amplitude variation with offset) introduction

We describe amplitude variation with offset, identify different classes of AVO anomalies and present basic calculations using the two-term Shuey approximation. The limitations amplitude anomalies in the stack section are revisited to emphasize the findings of Domenico (1974).
