Quit on LSU, quit on the Sixers, quit on Australia, and has been quiet quitting on Brooklyn since he's been there.

@Jack Walker LSU - Quit during March Madness against Texas A&M.
Australia - Has refused to play for Australia since being cut in 2014, even though he's been eligible. As a result, missed out on Bronze in Tokyo last year and could've helped the squad at Rio when they lost by 1 point to Spain in the Bronze medal match.

Us Philly fans knew this. I watched almost every single game of his for 4 years. He’s never going to change that’s just how he is. He could easily go down as one of the most wasted potentials in basketball history. If he even had a slightly more competitive attitude and the will to want to be great, he would easily be a top 5 player today, but he doesn’t and he never will.

Most times I don't agree with Steven A but on this I totally agree with him. Simmons had the NBA, and fans fooled for years now he's exposed. Teams know he will not shoot and they know he can't shoot a three. And they know he can't hit foul shots. Most NBA players are not even play defense against him they have no fear he will shoot. The Nets need to take the Simmons project as lost and keep him on the bench the majority of the time and stop giving him minutes he is a role player that's hurting more than helping the team.

Should of got rid of him and Harris when they had the chance and built around Embiid and Butler ( who liked playing with Embiid and would of stayed if Simmons was gone ) but of course they made the worst possible decision and gave this guy everything and never held him accountable for his decreasing play every year and finally when he had a complete meltdown and played possibly the worst series we have ever seen against Atlanta and pretty much was solely responsible for that loss not only did his soft and weak style of play get exposed but his ridiculously soft and fragile ego also got exposed because of a few very very light criticisms from Doc and Embiid and he acted like a spoiled brat instead of trying to improve his game. He's just an arrogant pos that's scared to play with any type of physicality and still horrified of even attempting to have anykind of offensive game other than wide open dunks even layups are a problem for him if there's a defender anywhere near him. Simmons found out he was not as good as he thought he was. Problem is, for Simmons to score requires a lot of energy to leap over opponents or run past them. The dude is 6'10" 245, not a 180 lbs point guard. It takes a lot of energy to consistently get to the rack. He can't rest and make jumpers like other star players on some possessions. He doesn't have the energy that day, he's sunk. Then he lost confidence knowing he had been taught to shoot with the wrong hand by his father.

He doesn't work on his game at all. He's content with his natural basketball gifts. For me, the hype train for this dude left the station after his third season. He's not that good and never was. His defense is his best attribute right now but it seems like that's kinda going downhill as of late. Being the first pick of the draft won't allow him to shed the negativity that has been placed on this young man.

Kwame Brown was right. These guys get paid to get on TV and trash "certain" athletes. When KD was playing the team was rolling. KD gets hurt, they lose, and they are QUICK to count pockets and make Ben Simmons a headline. He's not a star, there's TON of overpaid athletes in every sport, but they only attack certain guys consistently. ESPN and SAS been moving weird for some time now.

    • @work4whatyouwant477

They could easily spend this TV time praising certain teams and players, but they thrive in talking down on athletes. We don't hear ANYTHING about how Fox and the Kings are doing. Are positive headlines a bad thing in the media? Seems like it. We see more about how Ben Simmons is overpaid, compared to how Embid is absolutely dominating. Media loves to kick "certain" guys while they are down.
