It's her other qualities that make her such an asset to the nation. Took real courage to play in front of millions of people, both there and around the world via video! But I'm so glad I'm not in her shoes or any of the other Royals or "MEGain" aka "Nutmeg" Markle in the UK! The obsessed media puts them under a microscope 24 /7 and examines every minute detail of their lives! There's a lot to be said for being anonymous! LOL "Rich and famous" isn't always all that it's cracked up to be, obviously, millions of people around the world know this, not just everyone..yet! Despite it all though, she makes for a "perfect Queen" in the years ahead!
Who cares what they think and do to get into the media. This is not Kate's profession, she managed it brilliantly, and Judy didn't need to give her opinion. Kate has never appeared as just Williams wife, she had taken time to learn what goes on and what the public look at the most, she has developed the necessary skills, with heartfelt empathy for her causes, she spreads an air of happiness to the people who surround her and who she meets. On top of this she has the kids, who are developing just beautifully. William and Kate are managing brilliantly without Judy's opinion.
I'm an American with British ancestry. I've always loved the Royals and was destroyed when Diana died. I did not care much for Catherine when I first saw her. Perhaps I was hoping for someone more like Diana but of course there will never be anyone like her again but all these years I still didn't think much of Catherine until I finally realized this woman had stepped up from day one taking the responsibilities she promised to fulfill to heart just like the Queen did from day one and most of all she has made the Queen very happy I'm sure. When the Queen needed her family around the most after losing Philip, two others abandoned her side for selfish reasons but the family plugged on. Catherine played quite serviceably, but I did not see any hint of virtuosity. She doesn't have to be a piano virtuoso, she is a virtuoso of graciousness and responsibility to people who have less.

What I love about her is her interaction with mostly children - she comes down to their level and looks them in their eyes as if they are the only person in the room, and it's not fake I was never a fan of Diana - but she was a wonderful mother - she showered love on her children and you can see that with Catherine and her three children. Also she is not competing with William for the children. Both her and William deal with the children individually - as someone parents would want to know what is the matter with him/her.
