Just found out about this channel. You are a true inspiration to me, hoping to one day be living like this as well. What a great truck you have. Save travels!
What a great channel. I shall spend a bit of time here enjoying your adventures. I love watching that rig crawl around out in never never land. Amazing build you did on that thing. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Mike, your videos are very cool. I love your Truck! Would really be cool to see a cooking video in the truck 🥘🍳. Looking forward too seeing your upcoming videos I definitely subscribed!
mike love wachting your videos while you’re building your new truck want to see other my name is Donald mccallum again from French Polynesia ps sorry on spelling of the word video on my first text
Nice job on your rig, it looks really great. Just thought I’d mention that the way you strap stuff on top of your rig might be reducing your solar output more than you think. I thought you might not know about partial shading on solar panels. In traditional solar panels, covering just 1% of the panel can cause a 33% reduction in power output, and 10% shading can cut production altogether.
Amazing content, Michael! Beautiful cinematography too, I'm excited to follow your adventures. The work you've put onto that LMTV is extraordinary, very well done, probably the best overlanding rig I have ever seen. I'm curious, when you take it off-road does the wobble ever get scary or is it managable in rougher terrain?
Man , i'd love to winter in Baja as long as i could ride my Bike ! Not sure it can be done down there ? I'll be on the east coast after NAT's in Albuquerque . Then visiting my sister in NH and brother in Maine. Alaska is on my Radar to get it soon. Hope to cross paths . Thankyou for your content , it is great~peace~
Hello sir, i cant help wandering what is ur source of income? (if u dont mind sharing) u spent so much time on the road, let alone the cost of modifying ur truck
Nice! Midwest is doing the gear swap for me as we speak. Hope to run into you sometime in the future. My build is inspired by yours, I thank you for that!

Thank you. Yep. I lose about 30% with the kayak. Generally keep it off the truck when I need solar power all winter.
Good, fun times 😂 Beautiful video ❤️
Thank you. Hope all is well with you. Your van is coming up soon. Maybe I should use your new pic for a thumb nail 😂😂😂🔥🔥
@@drivetheglobe It would be a great thumbnail 😂 Can’t wait to see the tour! Yours is up soon too!

Thank you. It’s manageable. Looks worse than it feels honestly.

You on the road soon.
Awesome rig, would highly recommend driving in the Icelandic highlands in it if you haven't already :)
Been to iceland a few times- not with this truck but really love the scenery there. Amazing!
Saw your video on the lifestyle alternatives video, I subbed! What's the milage expectancy for a M1079?
I am getting about 8-10 mpg diesel.
When are you planning on leaving the States to start your round the world trip?
On my way into Mexico now.
Hey Michelle, you truck and setup is a dream of mine, I'm 15 don't have a job and don't drive. What would be the best advice for me
When you get your license, work hard and save. You will get your dreams.
@@drivetheglobe thanks, I've loved all of you off-roading vehicles, and it seems as tho you would be a really cool guy to meet
@@drivetheglobe do you have to have a CDL to drive that truck
@@bradleyholbrooks no. You don’t need a cdl when it is an RV.

I am retired now. Worked in real estate for
Many years.
@@drivetheglobe ohh ok...really fun watching ur vids
Just bought a 2005 1079 from Midwest Military, they spoke highly of you! How did you manage to get 9.8 MPG?
Awesome. Thank you. Not sure. Has been getting that. Honestly I drive pretty conservative and I did do the gear swap.
Nice! Midwest is doing the gear swap for me as we speak. Hope to run into you sometime in the future. My build is inspired by yours, I thank you for that!
@@caseydrahota4871 awesome! Let me know how it turns out and what you think.
What is the max speed limit on this vehicle?
Max speed is about 75mph. I keep it to 65 or less
Very nice video but you need to learn to landscape with your phone when videoing.
Ha ha. I know. But do an aweful lot of insta and Tik tok. That’s really why
Less expo, less shows, less videos and much more offroad
I do a lot of off road. But it is also good to learn at the expos.
And nobody watched this. You should of advertised this more. Plus I bet that thing is a gas hog
Actually not that bad. Gets about 9-10mpg diesel.
@@drivetheglobe I don't think so
@@IntelligentElephant well. Since I drive it and live in it I assure you that it does.
