    One tip is to mount you snowmaker at least 8 feet in the air for more hang time, this give the water more chance to freeze which will make alot drier snow. When you raise the gun, the snow is drier meaning you can run more water which makes for snow.
    More Air + More Water + More Hang time = More snow.

    You should be making lots of snow. I live in central Florida and make over 8 inches at 27° wetbulb.
    Your bulk nozzles appear to squirting out to much water. Try going to a 65° 1 GPM for the bulk, also maybe just use 2 bulk and not 3 bulk tips.
    Also chill your water. Tap water is pretty warm. Good luck.

    How often do u get Snowmaking temps

    You got too much water on the bulks and your nuc is bad. Up the pressure a bit on the bulks by using smaller nozzles on the lower 2 to be at 600 or even 700 if temps are warmer. You need a better needle valve on the nuc, it should not be spitting like that. Run your air at 90psi and very little water going to the nuc. With a 26 wet bulb you will have snow, not slush like that.

      +Phillip This info is fantastic. I'm seeking to convince our local maker space to partner with the city to put one of these on capitol hill. Is there a subreddit or forum where I can digest a ton of information about this in a short period of time? The only one I could find had just a few members.

      +Phillip I owe almost everything I know about snowmaking to the snowguns forum. My user name is travislippert.

      +Phillip I think we have corresponded on the snowguns forum. Check out what I did with this gun the next season after I took this video. bit.ly/1OkPJap

    Gosh, I hate living in Texas. I just want to move to Canada because it’s really cool over there. Texas sucks because it rarely snows over there, and I want it to snow a lot when I move to Canada when I’m older

    • @travislippert
      @travislippert  6 лет назад

      You need a *lot* more air than the pressure washers supply.

    Nice Snowgun.
    What sizes are your bulk (water) nozzles?
    What GPM ratings are the pressure washers each?
    How long was your snowmaking run the previous night?

    • @travislippert
      @travislippert  8 лет назад +1

      +Riley Honey the bulk nozzles are 4003s and the nuc is a 6505. The run the previous night was about two hours. The wet bulb temp was simply too high that night to make decent snow with this gun. The next year, I used the same gun for about six hours with a web bulb temp in the low 20s and made a pile three feet high.

      The bulks are 4002 and the nuc is 6505

    What kind and where did you get the nozzles from? Also what was the total gpm from both pressure washers? Thanks

    • @travislippert
      @travislippert  2 года назад

      The nozzles are 4002 for the bulks and 6505 for the nuc. Total GPM is between 1.4 and 1.5.

    How did you get the two pressure washers to connect to One hose

    • @travislippert
      @travislippert  3 года назад +1

      For input, I just used a Y hose splitter. For output, I used a brass T fitting with three pressure washer hose fittings screwed into it.

      @@travislippert If it’s possible can you send me an Amazon link so I can get the three-way pressure washer connection I got the wire hook up for the hose and those two blue hoses that go in the pressure washers but I need to find that t connection and I have the y hook up i’m just having trouble connecting the two pressure washer hoses into the pressure washer hose that’s coming from my snow gun

    What kind of air compressor are you running?

    • @travislippert
      @travislippert  8 лет назад

      +Jace Welsh it is a 20 gallon, pulley-driven compressor that I bought at Northern Tool. It cost about $500 with tax. It's their house brand, which was called Puma but is evidently called North Star Now. www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200518764_200518764

      +Travis Lippert Man I have bad luck with Puma. The last two I owned crapped out on me, with the last one catching fire. I want to do this for my some of my God kids that live in town at my shop. I think I can get by with the old Quincy QT-15 I have in my work shop.
      Did you ever get this set up to work for you by the way?

    • @travislippert
      @travislippert  8 лет назад

      +Jace Welsh the year after I filmed this, the WBT dropped to the low 20s and I totally RULED. I made a huge pile of snow. In San Antonio. When I moved to Colorado last year, I hooked everything up and ran it while it was actually snowing outside. Again, I made a huge pile of snow, but it was much wetter and just worse than what mother nature was dropping. The system totally works, though. It took me seven years and four air compressors to make it work.

      +Travis Lippert Cool, the last time I remember it snowing in San Antonio was 2011. I live in Alamo Heights so if you hadn't moved out of state I would say we could meet up, and have a battle of the snow makers. lol

    • @travislippert
      @travislippert  8 лет назад

      +Jace Welsh it's a bummer we didn't hook up when I was there. It would have been great to have a snowmaking buddy. The day it snowed in 2011 was awesome, because the WBT was somewhere around 24 when it was OK to make noise. I took off work and tested snowmaking ideas all day. ruclips.net/video/cEWaMBlKzSg/видео.html
