    Tee tree oil wont actually help with piercing bumps you just have to keep it clean and not catch the jewelry on anything. You could try sleeping with a travel pillow? Or they do make pillows with dip or a hole in so you can side sleep and not be ontop of your ear. I sleep with a travel pillow when I have a new ear piercing, at least until fully healed

    Idk if you know of it yet cuz I only know that it‘s quite common in Germany- the no pull disk works MAGIC on piercing bumps, I’ve used it several times and oh my lord does this thing work, all you have to do is change the jewelry to a bar and put it on the bar so that it lays on the bump and in maybe 1-2 weeks it‘ll be completely gone

  • @thomaslatomate

    They look really great! I got an industrial 2 mounths ago, but around the hole near the top of the ear, I've got a bump. I really try to avoid sleeping on this side at night but sometimes it may happen, and I clean it daily with warm seasalt water. As the bar moves easily, I sometimes take it out just the time to clean it and the holes with the warm seasalt water. It's just the bump and it doesn't hurt. I hope it's not an infection.

    • @odearflannery7781
      @odearflannery7781 3 года назад +2

    • @karssgovroom
      @karssgovroom 3 года назад +13

      The bump is probably still there because you keep taking the bar out at the two month mark. Just keep it in when you’re cleaning it

    • @thomaslatomate
      @thomaslatomate 3 года назад

      @@karssgovroom It's already been 2 mounths, and the first time I took it out was because of the big bump. I wanted to clean the inside well and make sure nothing got stuck in the inside. It slides easily, so if I take it out for 5 minutes, I can't think that it can be bad compared to what it can make if it happens that I sleep on the side. I can put it back in with no pressure at all and I only do it once or twice a week. Since I restarted with the cleaning, the bump also got smaller but it's still there. Then I'm also no professional to know what is the best to do in this situation, but thanks for the advice😀

      @@thomaslatomate whenever mine get bumps, it means I’m cleaning it too much or not enough. They’re trauma bumps. Unless there’s pus. Then that’s a small infection. To get rid of them, I make sure to rinse the piecing well with the shower head when ur in there and poke it gently. So if it’s an ear piercing, put ur ear in the stream and then after a bit, after it soaks, start poking gently to move it around and help get any scabbing, bacteria or pus off. And ofc, find a way to sleep w/o putting pressure. Fold ur arm under ur head or stuff blanket under your chin and fill the gap between ur neck and chin to sleep on ur side but at an angle. GL 🙂

    Aftercare instructions have been updated in the piercing community to .9% sterile sodium chloride wound wash twice a day but I still use a sea salt solution and I have no issues apart from dryness. I have tried the sodium chloride wash it's great but the only issue is that it runs out after 1 day.

    • @etuanno
      @etuanno 3 года назад

      I'd argue you can make it yourself. If it's really only 0.9% sodium chloride in water, then you could boil some water and add 9g of non iodized salt per liter to it. The water is sterile after cooking. Just don't store it for too long due to environemental contamination.

    • @deddyjack3843
      @deddyjack3843 3 года назад

      @@etuanno nah you can't sterilize the water by boiling it unfortunately it only
      pasteurizes it. The sterile sodium chloride must come from an air tight can , honestly I doubt there's any scientific evidence to prove that it's any better at cleaning than the sea salt saline solution but it's the gold standard for professionals in order to keep everything 100% sterile but let's be real that's not feasible. When we have a shower the water coming out the tap isn't sterile is it?

    • @etuanno
      @etuanno 3 года назад

      @@deddyjack3843 The shower water is not 100 degrees celcius. If you want to be extra careful, you boil it in a pressure cooker. 130 degrees is a bit too hot for the normal bacteria we have around us.

    • @deddyjack3843
      @deddyjack3843 3 года назад +1

      @@etuanno yes I get what you're trying to say, I know it seems like boiling water at high temperatures and killing germs would sterilize it but it doesn't. I'm saying its no big deal to use unsterile water as the water from the shower tap isn't sterile yet it doesn't cause infections.

    OMG pls pls pls do a piercing aftercare! I got my flat and conch in July and they keep getting infected with bumps. I clean them twice a day with wound wash saline and nothing is working. 💕☺️

      The only way to get rid of an infection is to get antibiotics from your doctor. If it's just piercing bumps you could check what kind of jewelry is in your piercings. You could need better quality jewelry or a downsize? Also idk if you do, but don't move the jewelry when cleaning them and don't sleep on them or touch them. Hope any of this helps😅

      @@LovebugASMR222 np! If you don't have one already I can also suggest getting a travel pillow. That way you can sleep on your side with your ear in the hole of the pillow. If nothing works you can always talk to a good piercer. Most are really helpful and kind, in my experience. They can help to try and resolve the problems. Best of luck to you, I hope your piercings will heal wonderfully!x

    Piercings and you, this is a love story. A love story began in a young age and go to wedding (You become a professional piercer). On the way, there lay stones. But you use them to build a beautiful house (You have learned from mistakes and say now what is why needful). Piercing is not a job for you, it`s your love. And you enjoy see your kids (the piercings you have done), see and share them with the once they share your love to piercings ♥ :)

    I think it depends who does it and how you were feeling on the day. Some of my lobes I didn’t even feel then my rook and tragus weren’t bag. I got my conch and forward helix done and the guy was so rough it hurt a lot. Then my helix were quite painful.

      Also I had to have my Tragus redone. I had it out for a few months after having it done for years and the back healed up quickly.

      Depends on the person and the jewellery used. I’ve seen them last for up to 8 or 9 years but I’ve also seen them migrate themselves out within about 6 weeks.
