Maxine gets the wrong idea when she finds a seemingly used condom in Ahmad's pocket. Teri's friendship with her colleague Brian (Yannick Bisson) becomes complicated after she catches him having sex with a junior attorney at the firm. Jack disappears . . . with people on both sides of the law hunting him down.
Nicole Parker Arie is a fantastic actress. Absolutely Stella performance in every show! They are all good. But she's the real stand out. Then the actors who play 'Lem' and 'Kenny'. Great actors! But everyone on this show made is outstanding.

The issue with Maxine is that she tries to protect Ahmad from everything. She needs to trust that she raised him right. Kenny can be a borderline chauvinist but she should've trusted Kenny to talk to his son.
tharris19 I think they both were right. On one hand, it's not that big of a deal, but on the other hand... it is. Also, I think he learned a VERY valuable lesson by getting the hell knocked out of him. lol.
@@reginaldfairfield boys will be boys and children make mistakes but ask urself, how much can u protect them from? Not everything. Not making excuses but either way, the kids gone learn and at the end of the day, parents, good ones, have done their best.

see i think max is right for being concerned about ahmad and the condom but i think the way she went about it was wrong. she shouldn't have made him think that sex is bad. she should have had an open dialogue with him about it instead of making him feel like a horrible person for it.

Jack is one badass dude! He killed the gangster that was after him, then on top of that he outsmarts the police by leaving Lem that note on his steering wheel and disappearing when the cops were after him!

On the real Max was the MAN and Kenny was the WOMAN. Max getting UPSET over EVERYTHING just like a man, Kenny wasn't getting upset over much of ANYTHING...he was very PASSIVE. Max got on MY NERVES always having something to say! Kenny and Max both should have sat down together and speak to Ahmad like parents DO! Didn't Max and Kenny have sex before they were MARRIED! According to the movie Max was PREGNANT when her and Kenny were MARRIED...did "BIG MAMA" make her read and do work out of a text book!

My problem with Max is how belittling she was being over Kenny. "What you shoulda did when I asked you to talk to your son." She made too many of those little comments. The fact of the matter is that Ahmad shouldn't have been IN TROUBLE for being curious, and for all she knows, he already had those condoms she found under his mattress, while she trying to make it seem like he got them AFTER Kenny spoke with him.
Yes, the double standard is annoying, but Max was using that as a crutch agruement because she got mad that Kenny wasn't more upset. She gets too angry at everything, and just cuz her husband doesn't also jump off the deep end she gets mad at him. That mess is annoying!

Yes, while you should inform preteens and teens about sex education. They should not be having sex, period. They are not grown and most importantly - they are not married. Informing them that it’s supposed to happen in the way God planned it to and the reasons why will save kids from a lot of unnecessary stress. Even though Max and Kenny had sex as teens, Max wanting to educate Ahmad and ensuring her son is not having sex is not a parent overreacting…it’s a parent being a parent. At the end of the day, as a parent you want your kids to be better and make better decisions than you.
A Part Of This Is Almost Predictable, When Times Get Tough The Tough Get Going, But For An Original It's Not That Smooth, I'm Sensing A Sacrifice Coming, This is The Kind of Close to Home I Can Post on My Page.
I don’t like how they portray the amazing black couple from the movie on this show. Max and Kenny appeared to be super loving on the movie now on the show they trying to play them and that’s pissing me off.
