The design of the JR-East E261 Saphir Odoriko series is inspired by the ocean and blue sky of the Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka Prefecture. Built by Kawasaki Heavy Industries and consisting of 8 first-class cars (Premium Green, Green Car private compartments, cafeteria, Green Car). Both units have been in service between Tokyo and Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park since 2020. 万丈 敬意を表するご挨拶 , Frédéric in South Brittany
