How long does it take to learn how to play these sims?

That will depend on the person who is training. It will depend on how familiar the person is with their controllers, how well the controllers translate to the program, and how well the computer displays the imagery. I would say if the person can learn to be calm, patient, and if they study outside of the program too, they might really get the hang of it in 4 months or so.

@@VincentSun Ya know, way back in 2008 or 9, it was featured at Fry's Electronics on one of their in-house PCs. A little kid was piloting a 747 using the keyboard... and I was astounded! 2 or 3 years later, a pilot friend of mine showed me his piloting skills one night on his PC and I was hooked! He crashed, so it was terribly ironic that he was and IS an awesome pilot, but I knew I had to master this program. Not sure if I've mastered it yet, but I love it just the same. I'd say it took me 4 months to understand landing a plane, and about 7 months to master the helicopter.
